May 21-28 POR with QSDP and pics!!

Hi neighbor! (I'm in SE Louisiana...but own a business in MS). I am loving your report.

We have stayed at POFQ and POR and loved them both! My mouth started watering at your pic of the pasta station! We loved getting pasta there.

We have also stayed at the same hotel as you offsite. That is a great location. The rooms are nice and big...room for everyone to spread out.

I feel for your daughter with the bump on her head! Poor baby! Our youngest son got his leg caught in some railing at AK once and it left a nasty bruise for days.

Our kids always liked nighttime at DTD, too. We are planning a trip to WDW at Christmas. Only our youngest is still at home (he's 17) and wants to bring a friend. I asked him where he wanted to stay and he said POR so they could ride the boat to DTD in the evenings!

Another good place to buy Disney stuff off site is the Winn Dixie out by Palm Pkwy. (is it still there?) We bought loads of stuff there. They had a HUGE selection of beachtowels one year.

Thanks so much for the great review. The pool looks awesome. DD asked if we could stay here. It would save me around 800.00 so since we are doing the QSDP I may consider it. I love WGP. Going to sleep on it.

Did you do any character dining at all ? We have 2 that we will keep since I'm not a big fan of waiting in line for characters.

No we didn't do any charactar dining this time. Last year, we were at Disney for 8 long days, and got every charactar's sig that there is, minus a few we got the year before, so we just skipped it this year.

It is a big decision! Do what's best for your family. My kids missed Pop, so I kinda felt sad for them, but they got over it quick with the pool slide, and Piano Bob, and the boatride!

My older dd loves cheeseburger while my 2 year old is a mac and cheese hot dog lover. For the most part my 2 year old will share with someone. But I figure I can get her a meal every now and then to use up the credits.

Yes, we always have leftover credits!! We stay off property the last day after we check out of our Disney resort, so we use them that day!!! We had 4 counterservice left, and 19 snacks left!!! Goofy's was really fun for my kids spending those!~!! I am not sure if its possible to use all ur credits!! We only shared a few times! Disney portions are really huge though, that u could save some credits! www.allears.net has menus!!

There are a few others that I know of, which are referenced in the Links section on my site if you need them. The Poly site that you mention (the one run by the tiki-man) is a great resource which has been running for a long time now, very well worth a visit.

Oh, thanks for your trip report and photos! Makes me wish September beggins tomorrow!
I am going to POR in September along with my fiancee. We're celebrating a lot of personal conquests as our brandly newly bought house and our engagement!
I also used www.portorleans.org for setting the dispute between the FQ and Riverside (and also discarting the other moderates) for this very first trip to Disney. I wanted a more romantic landscape and PO has it.

Up next.. It's Piano Bob time!!! He is so cool!! I have a VERY shy son who have oral and verbal Apraxia. Its a neurological speech disorder. Well, Piano Bob had my son up on a chair banging his fists on his chests, and dancing. We stayed till closing... 1:00 I think cause we met some friends and bought his CD!! Youtube him.. he's great!!! If we do stay elsewhere next time, we will def. come to POR to see his show!! He get sthe audience involved... and is so FUNNY!!!

Piano Bob was was so much fun!! Up next is pics of the kiddos getting haircuts from the Barber's at Magic Kingdom while a parade was going by!! Now that was COOL!!! AND the pixie and pirate dust!! yay!!

Here is some pictures of the kiddos getting their hair cut at the Barber shop at Magic Kingdom. We had to wait about 30 min. b/c the family in front had 4 kids getting cuts, and 2 that weren't happy about it. But.. it was worth the wait. Cuts are $15.00 each...

I'm so glad you're saying so many good things about POR. I probably would have missed Piano Bob and never thought of doing DTD at night.

I"m a late joiner to your TR!

I love your pictures! POR is one of my favorite resorts of all time! It was our favorite place to stay before we joined DVC. When I saw your pics of the piano lounge it reminded me of when my daughter was 6 and as we came out of the gift shop she heard him playing a song from Grease and she got soooo excited! She wasn't watching where she was walking and she fell down the little steps! Poor baby..she went from a big happy smile to tears.

We were at WDW the week before you and I thought it seemed crowded for May too.

I can't wait to read more!
