Best thing you've eaten at disneyland resort!

1. Pommes Frites at Cafe Orleans
2. Benighs at Cafe Orleans
3. Broccoli Cheddar Bread Bowl at Pacific Wharf
4. Corn Dogs

1. Dole Whip
2. Raspberry white chocolate sugar cookie from Pooh's Corner.
3. Mickey pretzel

Dh would say his #1 would be the cheeseburger at Taste Pilot, along with the waffle fries and chocolate milkshake. If he could have died during that meal, he would have gone out a very happy man. lol.

The DLR peanunt brittle from Market House (and a few other places I believe)- our family can't get enough of it.

Banyan Beef skewer and veggie skewer from Bengal BBQ.

Chicken Sandwhich (with guacamole and roasted chili pepper) from Whitewater Snacks.

What kind of veggies are on the veggie skewer?

I will have been to disneyland 6 times this October. And I have never ate a meal in the park. The only things I have had:

Tigger Tail
Mickey Sugar Cookie
Frozen Apple Juice

This October I plan to make up for lost time. :cool1:Every meal will probably be eaten in the parks. I am not renting a car this time around so I will have no means of getting around.

Where do you get frozen apple juice? I've only seen frozen lemonade.

Frozen Apple Juice was on a cart in fantasyland kind of on your way to frontierland. I believe the same cart has the frozen lemonade as well. Maybe I shouldn't call it frozen. Its basically an apple juice slurpee.

I second the fried chicken at the Plaza. I dream about that chicken! I'd heard it was amazing and finally went to try it. Until I ate the breast, I didn't understand what the big fuss was all about, but just one bite was a revelation!

The frozen apple juice is the bomb but the lemonade still beats it especially with a pump of cherry in it uuuuummmmm uuuummmm good!!!!

They are the French term for french fries (kind of ironic), with garlic and parmesan cheese on them. Lots and lots of pictures of pommes frites in the food porn thread.

Is there any way to get pommes frites without having to actually get a meal? Like, if I want to just eat some as a snack?

They sell them as a "starter" at Cafe Orleans. I think you could probably just order the fries alone? I could be wrong though.

They sell them at the Cove Bar (attached to Ariel's Grotto) in DCA. They are pretty good. My DH was skeptical of them when I ordered, but they won him over :)

Those nachos sound good, and a cocktail in the afternoon even better! ;) I've searched and searched and I can't find the hours for the Cove Bar. Anybody happen to know? And will their hours be affected by the WOC?
Thank you.

... but I have to say that my all-time favorite is this beer and cheese soup that the Pacific Wharf cafe sold last year during the Food and Wine festival. It was sooooooo good. I'm bummed that I'll miss it this year (if they still sell it, that is).

They don't have it at the Pacific Wharf, but they have it in mini bread bowls at the Festival Marketplace....for another 4 days anyway.

that is a good question. i love the cove bar food, well appetizers!! the sliders and the pizza is good so is the spinach(or is it artichoke) dip!:)

the hours..hmmmmm,well i am going to guess that it's open only when the park is open, so let's say DCA opens at 10 am the cove bar may not open till noon, an if DCA closes at 9pm that day then last call is at 8:30pm. i'm just guessing.. so don't take my word for it!! :)

hey if you want to get one of those yummy cocktails..let me know!!

It's not always open at the same time as the restaurant...at least during the times we've gone (off season). Last time we tried to have a quick snack /drink, we were told they were only open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. This may not be the case during the high season, though.

ohh maybe your right.. hmm maybe the off season. cause i was for sure they were open during the week--but maybe that's becuae it's not really off season anymore..but for the most part on the weekends when the park is open it is open.

I'll be there during the week but during the high season, so hopefully it will be open.
I remember some posts about Ariel's closing early because of WOC...? I don't know if that will affect the Cove Bar or not. I guess no one will know until WOC actually starts.
I tried calling Disney Dining yesterday because I needed to adjust some dining times because I booked another night. Anyway I was going to ask about the Cove Bar hours but I was disconnected after waiting for about 10 minutes. I'll try again.
