Weird-Odd-Strange-Disturbing Photo Thread...

By request- usually just post at the POTD thread, but hope you enjoy.

This is a reproduction of one of the gargoyles from Notra Dame, and they functioned architecturally as a decoration to hide the roof draining system, and 'religiously' to ward off evil spirits- and animatedly, to befriend Quasi Modo!

:)

That's cool! I've always wanted to see those up close when I spot them up on a building. :thumbsup2

I've always been wierded out by the decor at the POFQ foodcourt.

Sorry to be another person to quote the picture yet again, but I thing there may be more to this family's odd behavior than just appearing to be strange. I tend to think Disney would have stopped them at security or the gate unless they had a very good medical reason they needed such a huge umbrella. It's not an item easily missed even if folded up.

It does look odd though. Hehe.

Wow- I haven't been very observant because you guys caught a lot of weird stuff!! The boy gutting the fish is downright creepy..

Keep 'em coming! I'm going to go through my old pictures to see if I have anything to contribute!

Love this thread! Here is my contribution...

This was the day Stitch's Great Escape opened (Stitch tp'd the castle!!). The smoke is leftover from the fireworks. 2004-Nov, I think.

Oh my goodness Jud! That scared the crap out of me when it popped up on my screen! Very weird, odd, strange and disturbing.

I'm sorry to hear that your mousekeepers have never set-up your stuffed animals for you. We've stayed on-site almost every year since the 90's and have had them set-up at the Poly, WL, CR and POR, but never at CSR or CBR.

If you ever stay again at SSR, BCV or "CB" (CBR?) you might want to be prepared to set-up your own animals.

Once at the CR or the Poly, I can't remember and the pics are on a disc right now, Mousekeeping staged my sons animals. One day we came back to see Kermit sitting on a Disney Beach Towel sunning (the light above the bed was turned on like it was the sun) Another day we came and and Kermit was watching tv. The remote was in his hand and the tv was on even though we turned it off when we left. There were a couple more. Every night we rushed back to the room to see what Kermit was doing next :)

I will dig up the pics later today and post them :)

This is me and a friend with the Giant _____ of Morocco in Epcot. It's in one of the little twisty areas, I think back by the restaurant. I don't remember where exactly.

Also, random, but I used to be one of the housekeepers who'd pose stuffed animals with remotes or the room service menu or what have you if there were any in the room :rotfl: I liked doing it :) I couldn't make towel animals, though.

I find the fake temple pyramid at the Coronado Springs resort really freaky.

I think it wouldn't be so scary if there was a better water slide to it, but otherwise it sticks up out of the pool/pond area and you're like what the heck is that?

I never noticed this until my fiance pointed it out to me. Look how creepy/happy he is gutting that fish! :scared1:

Why does it look like his figures are backwards holding that knife? Is it me or is he saying "What are you looking at?"

One would think you'd remember....

ha!! That's what I thought too~~~:rotfl: I have NEVER seen or heard of this 'thing' before!!!!

Well, this was almost two years ago, and we had trouble finding it at first. Another friend of mine had told me about it, so when I got to my CP and wound up getting along really well with two of my roommates, I was like, "Hey, let's run over to Epcot, I wanna show you guys something!" I'm almost positive it's back by the restaurant, though :flower3:

This was about the most disturbing shot I ever took- noting why only after I was arranging shots for the album. I cropped for the album. A friend noted, "I'm glad I had boys!" Obvious what I was shooting- and this awesome family appeared in many others' photos of that night at MNSSHP, Oct 10, 2006.

I thought this one was so weird looking. It looks like Cinderella is mugging my DD face. She was actually waving her hand in front of her face to say how much she liked her face painting.

I can't remember what thread it was (I think it was the "no pants" one on Theme Park Attractions and Strategies), but someone on the Dis was discussing that they realized their young daughter was missing undies on the way back to the hotel one night. They discovered it because their DD was wearing a long dress but not exactly "sitting like a lady." Turned out the little girl had shed her undies and deliberately hid them while mom wasn't looking. I wonder if this is the same little girl. If so, not quite the "meeting a fellow Dis poster" experience most of us imagine! ;)
