Hi  I'm Kelly. I'm a certified Disney-holic. In October, I'll be heading down to Disney World for another round of Food and Wine! This will be my fourth year in a row going, needless to say, I love it! However, this will be the first year that I'll be going down for an entire week during Food & Wine

The Who:
I've already introduced myself, but I'm Kelly. I've totally lost count how many times I've been to WDW. If I've counted right, I've been to WDW 7 times in the past 2 years  This will be my first trip this year, but I did go to Disneyland, so there's that... I'll be getting an AP starting for this trip, I'm very excited. I love that little piece of paper :lovestruc Anyway, this is me:
Disneyland050.jpg

My favorite ride is Haunted Mansion. I love the classics!

My boyfriend isn't a Disney-holic. He's more like a Disney-enabler...I approve. He is not getting an AP. One trip/year is about all he can handle, fair enough! This is him:
Disneyland170.jpg

His favorite ride is currently Mission Space. But he's not a thrill ride junkie.

My Mom and Dad started my obsession with Disney. I blame them. They will also be taking the trip with us...though it won't be very far, they live in Florida! And this is them, I'm sure you can figure out who's who! ;)

My Mom's favorite ride is the Peoplemover. And my Dad's is Small World.

The When: October 2-9

The Where: We'll be staying off property as my parent's have a timeshare that literally bumps up to Disney. It's 45 minutes from their house  They've graciously invited us to join them

The What: We really enjoy Food & Wine Festival, so I'll be planning a lot around that. We have some dining goals too, sure to change by the time we get to October!

The How: My boyfriend and I will be flying, Mom & Dad will be driving up, so we'll have 2 cars. I might have a work reason to be down the week before, so I could get my flights paid for by work...pixie dust and fingers crossed!

So join me won't you? I have a lot of planning to do!

i am joining in:) I can't wait to here more of your plans:) I am very jealous that you get to go to disney so much!! LOL thats awesome!!! I only get there once a year-- but hope to maybe go twice this year-- i am going in Sept this year and have my PTR in my signature. I am looking forward to your PTR because i want to hear more about the food and wine festival:) hope you are having a wonderful easter!

Tomorrow marks 180 days until October 2! Of course since we're staying off property, I have to get up early every day this week to make our ADRs!

Luckily, we'll all have park hoppers, so I can be flexible on time. (In case you haven't picked up on it: I'm the planner of the family!)

This is what we're looking at doing...
Saturday October 2: Tea at the Grand Floridian
DisneyTrip09_266.jpg

...my Mom, Nana, & I did this last February and it was great. Since I should already be there for my meeting, we're going to try for an ADR for my Mom, Dad, & me. My boyfriend's currently looking at a flight that gets in at 5pm, so we'd have enough time to have tea and then pick him up at the airport. On the plus side, we'd all be good to go for a late dinner!

Sunday October 3: Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge ...Jiko is hands down my favorite restaurant at WDW. It'll be coming up on 2 years that I haven't been, and well...I just can't have that! Since my parents will be putting us up for the week, we're planning on treating them to dinner here :goodvibes

Monday October 4: I'm looking at either Kouzzina at the Boardwalk or Raglan Road at Downtown Disney. It was Spoodles the last time we ate over at the Boardwalk, so we're curious about trying the reincarnation. We've never been to Raglan Road, but I've heard great things about it. We were thinking about Kouzzina and then going over to Jelly Rolls! It might depend on what's available for each.

Tuesday October 5: Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom...prior to Rope Drop! We're hoping to get an ADR for 8:15 or so that morning so we can have breakfast before there are lots of people in the park. I haven't been here since I was about 17.

Wednesday October 6: Victoria & Alberts at the Grand Floridian. :lovestruc This will be just my boyfriend and I. I'm so excited about this. Last time I was at Victoria & Alberts was when I was 13 for Father's Day. Needless to say, I didn't appreciate food the way I do now!

Thursday October 7: I'm going to attempt the impossible...Le Cellier in Epcot's Canadian Pavilion :scared1: I'll pretty much be trying for this every day, but in an ideal world, we'll be having dinner on Thursday night. We've already decided we'll only go for dinner, not lunch. We haven't been here in years. It's so hard to get an ADR and there are so many other places we like that we just stopped trying to get an ADR. But my Dad wants it, so I'll try!

Friday & Saturday, October 8 & 9: :confused3 No idea. Maybe I'll try for Kouzzina or Raglan Road if we do don't one on Monday.

I'll also be keeping an eye out for Party for the Senses and F&W Signature Dinner information. My boyfriend and I really want to do a Dinner, and we'll give up V&A's (move it to a trip in February when we're only doing Harry Potter.) My parents love Party for the Senses, so we might do that. It's not as likely though since we'll be arriving on a Saturday and leaving on a Saturday.

Tomorrow I'll try to get the Tea...wish me luck! :flower3:

 Welcome to my rather obsessive planning! I was really debating an AP this time around. We weren't planning on going at all next year and I wasn't happy about it. My boyfriend said, "Disney makes you happy, you should go. I don't want to. Sitting around playing video games makes me happy." So I've decided just to go next year without him!

I love Food & Wine Festival, I'll be watching for the release of information like a hawk!

I hope you're enjoying your Easter!

Oh, and I'm originally from PA! The other side of the state...but still PA! I'm a good PA girl, Eagles as my #1, but Steelers are definitely my #1 AFC!

i don't blame you at all for wanting to go without your BF LOL i know how it is to be addicted to disney:) I am actually going without my DH this year-- he just started a new job and doesn't get the vacation time---so he is letting me go without him:) I have been to disney since 2004 every year and in 2006 went on a trip with just my mom and now this year will be a mother daughter trip too:) I see that tomorrow is your ADR day-- good luck I hope you get everything you want:) And good luck for Le Cellier ( i love that place)!!

oh PS.. I am glad steelers are your number 2 team:) I don't mind the eagles either! I still support the state of PA:)

Woot! Yeah PA! ...when does Football start again?

I started following your PTR, my Mom and I are looking at doing a Mother/Daughter trip next year!

Currently reading your DL trip, I'll be going in July. I am interested to see if you are able to secure such awesome ADRs, hope it works in your favor.:goodvibes

I am glad you posted the link I am hardly ever over here. I never would have found you.

McNabb was in talks with the Raiders and my son was thrilled. Myself not so much.

McNabb was such a waste. Yes, he performed well, but this is a team who hasn't won a SuperBowl...ever. He brought you so close and then? He choked  Good riddance!

In planning news, I didn't realize that for the Tea I still need to call. I also need to call for Victoria & Albert's, so I think I'll just wait and make one phone call. Should be ok...hopefully? :confused3

I'm here!! Is the Le Cellier really that hard to get  I am trying to eat there in December (Candlelight Processional Package), getting worried now that I am reading that!

If you're willing to settle for lunch, it's a little easier. But yes, be on the computer (actually for the package you might need to call) at 6am with Le Cellier up and ready!

Kelly, just posted on your DLR trip report that I'm loving that and now I find you over here? Totally hanging in here with you because this October will be our first trip for F&W. We are staying at SSR October 9-13. So, unleash the details, I'm ready to learn! :goodvibes

F&W is such an awesome time! I'm so anxious about the details! I found this website yesterday: http://www.foodwinefest.com/ Now they just need to post already!!

...I have Crystal Palace now booked :yay: 8:30, so it's pre-rope drop!! Horray!!

I am going to go to F&W at Disneyland next year. I will be interested to compare the two.
