Hi Courtney! I'm back from my week at Disney, and I'm trying to get caught up. It's funny that I sat down to read your update, and it was about eating at T-Rex. We ate there during this trip and I had the same thing as you!

I can't wait to hear what ADR you should have never made.......I hope it's nothing I've made for my May trip!

OH WOW! T-Rex looks really amazing! I can not wait to take my kids, they are going to die.

I know! The portions at T-Rex are huge! We both ended up taking over half of our orders to go. It would definitely be a good place to split a meal!

DAY 5 – Pt. 1 - The ADR I Never Should Have Made

This morning, it was difficult to wake up for some reason. I wasn’t particularly wanting to go back to sleep, but I didn’t have the desire to get going either. However, we had to get up and go because we had a breakfast ADR at Cape May Café over at the lovely Beach Club!

Now, I know in my previous update I probably lead you all to believe that this ADR was a huge mistake because the food was gross, or the service was bad, etc. But…that wasn’t the case at all!

You see, this breakfast was probably unnecessary because we were on the last half of our trip and therefore pretty worn out and we were still so full from our T-Rex dinner that we barely ate anything! This has taught me not to book early morning ADR’s after late night dinners in the future! Also, we had to pay out of pocket for this one since we didn’t have enough DDP credits for it. So, in many ways this ADR was a waste.

However, it wasn’t a complete loss because it's always fun to dine with your favorite characters, and it’s even more fun when they’re decked out in their beachwear!

This Minnie was so tiny! She couldn't have even been 5 feet tall! Although she looks kind of large here admiring my ring

I think Donald is particularly adorable at Cape May!

Cape May was kind of dead this morning so everyone came around a second time. Hope you don't mind more character pictures!

This is definitely Miguel and Goofy's signature pose!

The booths we were in are only made to sit one person on each side (or two little kids, I guess) so needless to say there wasn't really much room, but Donald didn't seem to mind! He slid right on in and cozied up next to me and then to FI...which was a tight squeeze thanks to Donald's rather large backside

One more of the duck for the road. He's really becoming one of our favorites!

Even though we couldn’t fully enjoy our meal here (mostly due to being so tired and so full from T-Rex!) I would certainly recommended CMC. This was our third time eating there – twice for breakfast and once for dinner – and we’ve been pleased every time. It’s definitely the most quiet character meal that I’ve been too, and we often see groups of just adults dining there so I think it’s a great option for childless couples who worry about seeming out of place at a character meal. Of course there’s always lots of kiddos there too!

You should! We've had great experiences there each time and it's a much more relaxing environment than some other places which is nice.

It was fun! And we did get really lucky with the characters this year - on our previous trip all of our interactions were only so-so, so we were really pleased this time!

Ooohhh, you should try it! We've always enjoyed ourselves there. And it's worth the trip just to see the BC (which is located in the Epcot area, by the way - within walking distance from the park, I believe). It is such a beautiful hotel - I would love to stay there!

I really thought I replied to the pedometer post...I remember telling Danny all about what you posted. He even told me you need to get one of those for us when we go

I love the pictures of AKL! it looks like such a beautiful resort. I love the picture of DFI w/the mickey braids that is too cute!

I have ressies for T Rex (I think Ashton will love it) I was thinking of CX'ing. But, after your photos and report I think I'm going to have to keep it...I need to check out the menu; when I seen DFI's buffet plate I thought that is perfect for Danny and I to spilt. But, you had to bring up the burger, DH loves a really good burger...so many decisions.

Yay! I'm so glad my pedometer tales are inspiring others! I will definitely be wearing one again whenever we go back.

And I'm so glad you've decided to keep the T-Rex ARD - I agree that Ashton will love it! All of the plates there are so big, so I'm sure there's lots of things that could be shared between two people. I think we'll share something when we return in the future - that way we'll have room for dessert!

The Beach Club is so beautiful! I too would love to stay there sometime - I would love having EPCOT so close by! I think your kids would love Cape May! You should make an ADR there and then you would get to see the hotel!

We got really lucky with all of the characters this trip - I think a lot of it was because it wasn't a busy time, you know? They probably didn't feel too rushed so they hung out longer!

When you said an ADR that you shouldnt have made I thought about the food being bad or the service wasnt up to par. At least it wasnt either. I love the pictures with the characters. There all very cute.
