I see there is a Dis Dad's club thread going.... is there one for moms?

If not I think we should start one as I think a lot of us may have gotten off on the wrong foot and wound up portraying ourselves as people we actually aren't.

So if there is one ~ can someone link to it?

If not let's introduce ourselves and maybe try again. :dance3:

Here is a tag for your siggy

You can tag this into your siggy just remove *'s and it should work.

I don't remember seeing one, but of course that doesn't mean it's not out there. :)

I think it would be a good idea to get off on a better foot with other moms out there on the DIS boards.

I'm up for it. Count me in.

BTW, I'm Chris and I have something of a Disney addiction.

Me too :goodvibes

I'm Tiffany married to a man who doesn't get the Disney hype :sad2: That should've been a deal-breaker ;)

Okay I'll start with an introduction.

My name is Suellen. I have a disney addiction. Lucky for me DH does too!

We have two girls who are definitely on their way to a Disney Addiction!

Melina ~ almost 5 ~ we call her either Mimi or Mena and very often sister.

Zoe ~ almost 3 ~ we call her ZZ or Zo-Zo or just Z ~ also sister often times.

Mena LOVES Pop Century and loves to eat at all the different places at Disney. Her favorite ride is Tower of Terror. She requests CRT for dinner at least one night while at Disney ~ although she would eat there every night. She is a bit of a foodie and is slightly insulted that she has to order off a kiddie menu. We share our meals a lot.

Zoe. Well she is just Zoe. She doesn't have much of an opinion about what she likes and doesn't like at Disney and is just happy to have mommy, daddy and sister around her 24/7. She is the exact opposite as Mena in the food department and rarely eats anything. Yes I do mean anything. I often wonder how she survives. She had a wicked hard time with food the first year of her life ~ so I have a theory that this is why she doesn't eat much.

I am home with the girls all but two days when I work part time as a Practice Administrator for a physicians office. On those two days the girls go to Montessori School.

I guess that is probably enough to start off eh?

I'd love to hear more about you ladies!

Count me in:yay: I'm Maria DH is Mark...we have two sons Justin (2 1/2) and Joseph (6 weeks) We are DVC and our home resort is Saratoga Springs. DH calls me the Disney Nazi:confused3 I don't really know why...Justin is well on his way to being Disney obsessed. Anytime he sees three circles together he always calls them Mickey! Joseph's first trip will be at the beginning of May this year. I kinda pushed for the trip because we would've lost our points if we didn't go before June, but now I am a little worried traveling with an almost 3 month old that screams uncontrollably at random times:scared1:

Been there done that. I really worried about people around us at the hotel because DD2 was a night time screamer and would wake about every 90 minutes or less.

We ended up switching to a kids suite since it was a corner unit and we could put her on the "outside" wall.

No one ever complained but I felt bad.

Sound like a fun thread...my name is Angie and I am a Disneyholic. My DH loves Disney, as do our boys, Nick (12) and Michael (6). We are also DVC members and our home resort is SSR. I want to stay at every DVC resort at least once.

I would love to have a Dis Mom's thread!

My name is Renee, my DH is Manny and we have 4 kids (2 his, 1 mine and 1 ours, but I consider them ALL mine:grouphug:). DH is in the Navy and we just moved to MD from Oregon... What a change! Who knew that there were places that actually had all 4 season. :lmao: We are DVC members, our home is BLT. Ok, on to the kids.

Mikayla(DD,11 soon to be 12) well really I think she's going on 20:rotfl2: Never home, and when she is so are 2-4 of her friends. Totally too cool for her parents! But when we're at Disney she becomes my little girl again. I swear its like she's 6 again on her first trip.

AJ(DS,11) He is our most unsocial kid... Likes Disney, sort of:scared1: But would rather be at his grandpa's digging for lizards and such. He's very independent and would rather be doing things by himself.

Kira(DD,4) The princess. She actually introduced herself to Belle as "Princess Cinderella Kira" princess::laughing: She is our girly girl and loves to be dressed up and fussed over. She is very stubborn and strong willed...

Xander(DS,2) My Monster and total boy. He is cute and charming and knows it.:scared1: He has the youngest child syndrome.:rolleyes1 and gets his way most of the time, cuz he's so darn cute. :rotfl: Monster loves all things Disney. Mimmie (Mickey Mouse), Buzz and he even LOVES "Princess Frog"

I am a SAHM, for now...

Can't wait to "meet" all of you! :surfweb:

Welcome! I see you are staying at HH next. I would love to know what it is like. We are not the vactioners that like to do nothing and just relax. We like to be on the go ~ the vacation part isn't relaxation for us it is being together. So I would love to try some non-theme park trips ~ but I am afraid that we would be bored after day 1. :rotfl2: Especially DH. The girls and I may be okay until day 2.

Welcome! Princess Cinderalla Kira :rotfl2: too funny what comes out of their mouths sometimes!

Your DS,2 sounds like my DD2 ~ we call her the "deal sealer" affectionately of course. We had intended on having another child after her. Well once she was born we knew there would be no more. You can just tell she was born to be the youngest and not a middle child. :rotfl:

Sounds fun I'm in :)

I'm Camala, my DH is Dave and I've converted him into a disney fan. We have season passes to disneyland and we don't live in So cal. We are going to WDW this summer :woohoo:

I have twin boys they are 20months - where did the time go?? They are big disney fans already. Davie - or Bug is our youngest and he is adicted to cars his security item is a lightning Mcqeen matchbox car - he will not go anywhere without it he sleeps with it even. Georgie or Monkey is our big brother that is his personality he watches over Bug has ever since they were infants. He loves Mickey mouse. His first word was mouska - which it took us awhile to figure out is Mickey mouse (from Mickey mouse club house). We were in Costco, and he saw a mickey head chair and yelled mouska and toddled to it that was when we knew what he was saying.

They have been to disneyland about 6 times now. Their first trip was when they were 3 months old they love it there.

Guess I should add on to my intro :surfweb:

Now that we all know my name, DH is Tariq, son Ali is 6, DD Safia is 5 going on 15 and DD Eva will be 13 months tomorrow :lovestruc

I LOVE Disney as do my older 2 kids. Eva hasn't been yet. DH isn't into Disney at all but I use my family as an excuse to visit since they live about 15 mins away :rotfl:

We're surprising the kids with the trip as well as my mom who lives in Orlando! Sooooooooo excited

Nice to meet you all :hippie:

Me too :goodvibes

I'm Tiffany married to a man who doesn't get the Disney hype :sad2: That should've been a deal-breaker ;)

:rotfl: that WOULD have been a deal breaker for me. We made a pretend premarital agreement that he had to take me at least twice a year ~ but preferably three to four times a year!

My DH wasn't too into Disney when we first got together but then I made him take me and the kids to DL a couple of years ago and now he loves it as much as I do! We even got APs to DW this year! :cool1:

:rotfl: that WOULD have been a deal breaker for me. We made a pretend premarital agreement that he had to take me at least twice a year ~ but preferably three to four times a year!

Wish I'd have though about that... Wonder if I can get a do-over:rolleyes1

I'm a mom. :grouphug:
I LOVE Disney. :lovestruc
I'm in! :thumbsup2

Well, about me. My DH and I have been together since I was 15. We got engaged when I was 16, married at 17, pregnant at 18 and had our first DD at 19. People said we were crazy and practically (who knows maybe really did) took bets on our chances, but we have been married almost 17 years.

We have 3 daughters, 15, 10 and 8. I was a SAHM thill this year, though I still consider myself one. I now work 2 afternoons a week as a preschool assistant teacher. It is fun, not sure I will do it again next year. Time will tell. DH is a crazy hard worker. I wish he was appreciated a little more by his bosses but he is by us and he appreciates that.

I am the HUGE Disney nut, DH is a huge "me" nut, so he goes, in a matching t-shirt, and has fun because of me. While he enjoys it, if I said I wanted to go anywhere else he'd be good with that too. DD15 is a teenager, but when we go she does enjoy herself a lot, but she could go somewhere else too. DD10 and DD8 are like mommy. DD10 is already planning her Disney wedding. :bride:

Fun! Count me in and I will try and keep up. I thought I'd have to write a trip report before I could introduce the "cast", but I can do it now, so here's us:

Me - Clara, 28. I'm a big Disney fan, but have only been to Disneyland, and only once. My big dream is to do a land and sea package... ah, someday.:lovestruc I work parttime in a sort-of daycare at our local Y -- a place that the parents drop their kids when they work out. Mostly, though, I am home with DD.

DH - Greg, 32. Also a big Disney fan (lucky me!!) He's been to Disneyland twice, once as a kid and once with me. He's a freelance writer and an editor, and also a great dad. Oh, and he does dishes and laundry. What a guy!

DD - Josie, 19 months. Has no experience with Disney, but I'm sure she'll love princesses, since she's a total girly-girl already. Loves to read, dance ballet, eat, act silly, and watch any sport, especially figure skating and baseball. You may have read my recent post about how high-need she is, but the last few days she's been about 100 times better. Here's hoping it's not just a phase...

I'm excited to get to know all of you. Moms rock! :thumbsup2
