My First Ever Dining Review! (Updated with Kringla & Le Cellier 3/5)

You must have hit a bad time with the alfredo as it is usually VERY good !!! At Sci Fi I lovrd the cheesecake and so did the kids ..they kept eating mine

I think part of the problem was that I had to wait for BJ and his flatbread melt. Also I think the cheesecake is the best thing there!

We had an excellent trip, I'm doing the college program so I am currently working at Pop on front desk, but I can't wait for my family to visit me so I can pretend I am on vacation.

After Fantasmic we returned to Everything Pop to get something to eat. We went for the Chicken nuggets and fries, with a Monster and Tye dye cheesecake.

Cant go wrong with these.

The next morning we were going to go to Disney Quest, but it didn't open until 11:30 so we were on a mission to do a ton of stuff at Magic Kingdom, we had been there earlier in the week but I didn't feel good so we left early.

BJ and the sword in the stone. We went on almost all the rides that weren't going to be open during the extra magic hours at night later on, and then we headed over to DTD.

We decided to have lunch at Wolfgang Puck Express.

I had the BBQ Chicken Quesadilla

This was soooo yummy! It was sort of tangy but the ranch dressing cooled it off. There were some tomatoes on the top but I scraped them off

BJ had the BBQ Chicken Focaccia sandwich

He said this was good, but he had expected it to be served hot, but instead it was cold.


For Dessert we both had the creme brulee

This was excellent. BJ wants me to point out that it was not an entire strawberry, but only a half of one. He was mislead into thinking that it was an entire one and was quite surprised when he picked it up.

After lunch we went to Disney Quest. I thought it was not worth the money. They had a lot of arcade style games and the rest were motion simulator rides. We did cyber space mountain which is the one where you make your own rollercoaster and then get to ride it. It made me feel so sick After that we both felt icky, and ended up leaving after about an hour, disappointed

After we recovered from Disney Quest we went back over to the Magic Kingdom to ride some rides and I wanted to meet the princesses! BJ got to meet the Power Rangers so I figured he could wait for me!

We had reservations for 'Ohana at around 6:30. I knew Wishes was at 8 so I wanted to get a seat by the window and try to stick around. We headed over the the Poly about 15 minutes early and requested a firework view, and told them that we would be willing to wait for a table to open up. We didn't have to wait very long maybe another 20 mins or so. Which was totally worth it! This was our view

That little blue blob is the castle. The picture doesn't really do it justice.

We started with the welcome bread and salad.

The bread was yummy, but I think it might have been better with some butter. I don't know if we were supposed to get any, but we didn't. I didn't eat the salad, but BJ had a little and said it was good.

Noodles and Broccoli

I didn't eat these but BJ said they were good. He just didn't want to fill up before the meat came out.

Now onto the pot stickers and chicken wings

These were sooooooo good. There were also dipping sauces for them and the meat, but I couldn't eat them with my soy/peanut allergy

Now onto the meat. First there was steak

This was excellent. I couldn't wait for them to come around again for more

Then there was shrimp.

OMG this was so good. I'm getting hungry just thinking about how yummy they were.

Pork and Turkey

I wasn't too crazy about the pork and turkey, I thought they pork had a strange seasoning on it or something and my piece of turkey was dry.

Dessert, was the Banana bread pudding with ice cream

I ate most of this myself as BJ does not like Bananas. lol Very good with the ice cream on top!

So now it was like 7:30 and we had been stretching out our dinner the whole time. I left to use the bathroom and left BJ to fend off the waiter. When he came back BJ kept telling him he didn't know if I was done eating or not. I felt bad, because we were hogging his table, but we left him a nice tip for being so patient. Soon it was 8pm!

At 8pm the lights were dimmed in the restaurant. They piped in the music for Wishes. I was so excited! It was the most spectacular view and a great experience.

enjoying your trip report. it's funny, because we just got back and had some similar experiences. LOVED the segway tour in epcot. we jut did it and would do it again. so much fun! we also tried disney quest and HATED it! so dark and stuffy and depressing in there. we had wanted to try it for several years and were so disappointed. it seemed the technology was somewhat outdated and not what we would have expected from disney. ah well! we are planning to do the fort wilderness segway tour next time. can't wait for that one! keep the reports coming

Glad you enjoyed Ohana-- we weren't a fan of the food personally (except for that YUMMY bread pudding) or the service (totally ignored for a large party-- which was our server's loss. DBF has tipped 100% for good service. She could have gotten more from us than from the table of guys she FAWNED off. The assistant server was also very rude + ignored us). However, we sat down to eat right around 9:50, ten minutes before wishes. Soooo nice to watch from the restaurant!

Why do you have 1st time visit badge on? Is there some story behind it or do you have it crossed out and 20 on it

Same here! I had a major issue with the fact that they didn't devein the shrimp. Major issue with me. We're skipping Ohana in May for Kona. I'm excited about it!

Sorry you didn't really enjoy the food. Our waiter seemed very attentive toward the end, of course he probably just wanted to get another table in there. But like I said, we left him a nice tip.

We cheated really. We were celebrating "our first visit together" as well as Me starting the Disney College Program and BJ joining the air force.

Yeah I didn't realize about the shrimp till about halfway through when BJ pointed it out. Then I thought it was kind of gross.
