We have our August 2010 reservations at Poly on Club level using the bounceback for free dining. Now that they have the 750 gift card should we change. It is just two of us for our anniversay and birthday. If we change and then they offer free dining to anyone, can I add that to my plan?
Thanks in advance.

I would say for only 2 of you that the $750 gift card would be the bigger savings, which could be used for your meals ;). You have to pay rack rate to get the gift card offer, but you're already paying that to get free dining, so your room cost would stay the same. But Disney does not allow you to stack discounts, so if free dining is offered to the general public, you would not be able to add that to your ressie as you can't get both.

The best way to determine which is a greater cost savings is to price out the gift card and compare the 2. My guess is the gift card will be a better savings (particularly if you use that money to pay for your food versus purchasing a dining plan).

You will not be able to receive both the gift card AND free dining no matter who it is offered to.

HTH! :wizard:

I assume your free dining is the regular dining plan? You don't say how many days you are staying, but you must be staying at least five nights if you are considering the gift card promotion. Just a rough estimate off the top of my head . . . .it would cost approximately $80 per day for two people to buy the dining plan. If you are booking the five night minimum, that would be a $400 value as far as free dining goes. So you can see that the gift card would be a much better option. However, if you are staying longer, then the difference in value becomes smaller - your break even point is somewhere between nine and ten nights.

Personally, with it only being two of you, I'd be hoping for a good room only discount (I know I've seen Poly CL come up under the current AP discounts, Fla Res discounts, and GP discounts). If you got a 40% discount on a $400 room for 5 nights, you'd save $800 - which is more than the gift card offer ( I don't know rack rate for Poly CL off the top of my head, so the savings could be more or less - I just picked a random number). I have found traveling solo that a good room discount pretty much always trumps a rack rate with benefits package.

It always pays to check out all the offers, both package and room only, to see which one offers you the best deal overall.

Are there restrictions on bounceback dates? We will go in June and hope to go bac in December, but HIGH season Christmas to Jan. 4th or so. I know, I know, don't say anything about the crowds!!!!

The bounceback that was there the end of January was good through 12/24......so any dates up to and including 12/24 would be discounted, but anything from 12/25 on would be at holiday rack rates as the code doesn't carry through even if you check in on or around that last day.

Has the $750 gift card been extended through August? I thought you had to travel by June?
