Hi!!

My family will be leaving for our first cruise in 3 weeks and I am soooooo stressed about what to pack!!!!!!!!!! I know that we will need one nice outfit for formal night but I have no idea what to pack for the other nights. Is there a strict dress code for dinner and the theatres??? Is it OK if my boys wear denim shorts to dinner??? What about my husband and I?? I have a cute denim dress that I just bought and would like to wear it to dinner one night. I am just so TOTALLY LOST and STRESSED!!!!!!!!!!!! I NEED HELP!!!!!!! PLEASE????!!!!!

THANKS!!!!!
Angela

Don't stress!!!! It's OK!!!

Are you on the Wonder or the Magic? I have not been on the Magic but my understanding is that the dress code on the Wonder is a good bit more relaxed, though on either ship, you will see a wide variety of dress in the dining rooms. But if you can tell us which ship you are on, you will get more relevant responses to your questions and more specific (and accurate) suggestions!

Many people have very strong opinions about this topic. I remind everyone to be civil and not attack others opinions.

All Disney asks that no jeans or swimsuits be wore to the dining rooms. (I have in the past seen it say no shorts, but not always.)

Will they turn you away from dinner if you don't adhere to this request - no.
Does everyone adhere to this request - no.
Do some people on this board get upset about it - yes.

I usually take comfortable skirts or slacks and a nice top for dinner. DH and DS usually wear khakis/dockers and a polo to dinner. On formal night we like to go all out, but many will just wear dressy clothes.

My best advice is don't sweat over it too much. Take what you would wear to a nice evening out. I think the denim dress will be perfect.

Above answer is very well done. The only change I'd make is that the Magic Navigators request no shorts at dinner, the Wonder Navigators say only no swimwear or tank tops.

There is no "dress code" except in Palo. Everywhere else, it is "suggested attire." You will not be turned away except in Palo.
