I have three kids (DD15, DD8, DD3).

We thought we would stay at Circus Circus, and my question is:

Which Tower?

Skyrise

Main

West

Manor

THANKS!

Personally, I would find somewhere else to stay. I find Circus Circus to be really low end and stinky. The place looks and feels icky to me. There are much better places to stay on and off the strip, for cheaper than there.

Not sure when you are going or if you will have a car, but we prefer The Orleans.

We've stayed there and it's not horrible, but it is smokier than most, older and lots of kids!! I would stay there again, IF I got a super great deal on the West Tower rooms and only the West tower. Those are the ones that have been completely remodeled. Here you can check it out:

DO NOT stay in the Manor, ever.

And I'd really only use the hotel as a base, and eat my meals elsewhere. Hope that helps.

Totally agree - somehow it feels slimey and low class. So many better choices. Now, given that, we have take our sun for the game area a couple of times. I'd recommend a place with a really good pool instead! There's really not that much for kids in Vegas anymore --- they've moved away from that 'family vacation destination' they were trying for for a few years. Example: the family pool at the Mirage which used to have gentle slides for kids is now topless and adults only!

If you sign up for MGM emails you'll get tons of offers from the 5 or so hotels they run.

When I was a kid my parents took us to Vegas and we stayed at Mandalay Bay. Their pool area is basically a mini waterpark!

I've stayed in the West tower before and the room was fine. It wasn't spectacular, but I've stayed in much worst. You should be able to get adjoining room with the kids and I think they would enjoy the stuff in the AdventureDome.

I would definately try to avoid the manor rooms, I haven't stayed at one, but they are the back of the property and seemed like a real far walk away.

Be careful when comparing prices on rooms, because many times the hotels will have some type of "resort fee" or additional surchage in addition to the room rates. Circus Circus even now charges $4/day, it use to be $1/day which gave free calling. I think the $4/day now includes internet and a few other things.

I would NOT stay at Circus Circus. We have been going to Vegas for years (in fact, just got back 10 days ago) ... CC has really turned into a dump. It is also located in a bit of a remote location.

With children the ages you have, I would try to get a hotel that is in a cluster (like the Tropicana-LV Blvd intersection) or the intersection near Mirage.

On the plane home from Vegas I sat next to a woman who had visited LV for the first time. I asked if it met all her expectations and she said "not really" ... come to find out, she had stayed at Circus Circus. She said the room was fine but that they are not near anyplace else.

If you have a car, you may want to consider South Point. It is five miles south of Mandalay Bay but is huge, fairly new and clean. It has a 16 screen movie theatre and 64 lane bowling alley. We spent quite a bit of time there ... very nice and friendly (of course it was during the NFR- Rodeo).

Anyway, I would recommend you look for another place to stay ... don't think you will really be happy there.

Circus Circus - we've been calling the place Nasty Nasty for a while now.

I would stay somewhere else and visit Circus Circus during the daylight hours. We had an absolute blast visiting Circus Circus during the day, but DH and I both agreed that it really isn't in an area we would want to be in after dark. It seemed a bit rough or seedy to us.

I wouldn't stay there if they paid me. Looks nasty, especially w/kids, that part of the strip is not the nicest part.

there is a great vegas chat board www.vegasmessageboard.com that would be helpful to you

With your children's ages, especially the two younger ones, I would be staying in a non-smoking hotel only. The only non-smoking hotel that I can think of off the top of my head is the Four Seasons inside Mandalay Bay. If memory serves the Four Seasons has a separate entrance and lobby so your children would not be exposed to second-hand smoke.
