I had originally decided not to order a cake for our trip next month because the last time we ordered a cake in May 2008 from GF it was not what we wanted, and the qualiity seemes to have gone way down, and we would also need a special cake. just didn't seem worth the hassle. I thought the nice little pirate/princess cakes would be good, but i would need a dairy free cake. those can't be dairy free, but it seems you can request the standard 6" celebration cake atleast 7 days in advance and it can be dairy free!! Because i need it to be dairy free, i don't have the option of a larger personalized cake.....which is fine as the quality has been iffy lately.
So i called cake hotline and got Poly private dining, and for $29 i get the 6" Chocolate on Chocolate celebration cake. They're going to write Ohaha means Family on it and decorate with a few balloons and hearts, stuff like that. not much as it's only 6". She said i could have done an edible image, but it would have had to be a small one and it's just not worth it IMO.
So we'll see what we get in 2 weeks.
