Super cute. Now if I just look like that when I wear a shirt we'd be set.

Congrats to Noelle!!!

I am fine with whatever we decide for shirts. I did enjoy us doing color of the day. Made it easy for everyone to spot one another, and we were all able to get shirts that flattered us. There were some issues at my house with the iron on. Not all of Tink made it onto the shirt. Just sayin.

Congrats to Noelle! :cheer2: Don't you just love it when your child does something amazing and you feel like "wow, I must be doing something right!?".
::yes:: Thanks everyone for the congrats. It was a nice lunch. :)

Congrats on Noelle! I know how you feel... Sometimes Allyson's (or my other kids' teachers) will say something about one of the kids and I'll say, "Are you sure you're talking about MY kid??"
:rotfl: So true. lol

I almost had one of those but went with the "safe" choice--I'll probably try one next time. Probably the one with chorizo.
I love chorizo and egg burritos. So I'll just leave Steakhouse 55 on the schedule for breakfast that Monday then. :thumbsup2

I spoke with my DH last night about the Diva's Doing Disney, and he was so supportive (actually, I think he was a little relieved that I might get a Dis fix without having to be dragged along! ) So now it's just up to me.

I just love the idea of meeting new friends that have my major affection (or should I say "infliction") in common...though at the same time, a little scarey and very out-of-character to do something like this.

Kelly
Hi Kelly, I can understand how you feel. I can tell you we were all nervous and had hesitations the first time. I mean, it IS an unnatural situation to take off and meet up with someone you met on the internet. BUT as you can see everyone is really nice and some amazing friendships have been formed from these trips. So I do hope you will give it a shot. If you do come and it's not your thing, you never have to do it again. ;)

Are the newbies able to get the design or buy the tink tshirts still? I would love one.
This is the Tink image we used. http://www.zazzle.com/collections/d...2&dsny_ctgy1=196021927371753132&paging_page=2
Unfortunately I don't have the exact wording or colors/fonts we used. But you can fake it. ;)

I know some of us are not wearing tie-dye (...me...), but would be up for a solid color shirt with a swatch or patch of tie-dye. Does anyone know what I mean?
Ooooh, Linda. I know exactly what you'd like. I bought a tee at DL last time in the shop across from Jungle Cruise. It's sort of a burnt orange, but it has the coolest Mickey head in the middle with a peace sign and some tye die. I'll see if I can take a pic and post it. It sounds like just what you are looking for.

I have never stayed there nor have I even been IN that hotel so I am looking forward to it!
Congrats on booking Paradise Pier! What a nice treat for you two.
Sorry about the jerk on the road. Geesh.

I'm more than happy to do whatever you all decide. If you all decide to do the pirate princess design, I will do my best to get the wording how we like it. I can not do much with the design though. I know when it was mentioned before several folks kept asking for different changes to be made to the design, but I just can't change it. I'm not that good. So, that's my warning about it. I love it, but really only the wording can be customized.
We don't want to stress you out Heather. I know you have lots on your plate now with working full time and the kids. Just do what you can, and we can also keep looking for other ideas. Thanks!!

Super cute. I can totally see those on you two.

FWIW - I like the red shirts and I think they're perfect for doing the PFF. I found the red really easy to find people in my group. I'm not a fan of wearing red personally, but I'll do it with the group :yay:
Same here. I don't have much red, and it's usually reserved for Christmas, but when I saw the PFF pic from last time, I have to say, everyone looked very sharp. And if you notice, I wasn't in red. :rolleyes1 I regret that now. I wish I had just worn it.

Okay, the shirt is really cute.....but, I just want the body and the tata's! I guess you are getting to know me now!
Amen Daisy!! :rotfl2:
I'm so sorry about your car!! Ugh, that sucks. I'm glad you weren't hurt though. Hopefully the whole situation can be resolved without too much hassle for you.

Cheryl it sounds like you and Dawn are having an amazing time this week.
How is fondue? I have always wanted to try the melting pot but just haven't yet.
Don't they sound like they are having a blast??
We have a Melting Pot right down the street, but we've never been. I'm thinking now I need to give it a try!

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about "color of the day", it seemed a little matchy-matchy for me at the time, but honestly, I did enjoy it. It was coordinating but we still were able to each keep our own style and pick out our own top. I liked it alot.

I am going to Disneyland tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am super excited to meet some of the ladies on Sat.

One question, why is it that I get stuck packing for 5 people???

I was off to bed, but had to say have a fabulous time!!! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: I'm so jealous you'll be there with them on Saturday. Bring your camera and make them pose for pics. They are bad about that. :rolleyes1

And you probably get stuck with packing for 5 the same reason I get stuck with packing for 6..........we're the mom!!! ;)

Later!

Hi girls and :welcome: to all of the new Divas! For those of you who don't know me (or have forgotten who I am since it feels like I'm never around these days), my name is Jane. I work fulltime+ as the Asst. Director of student activities on a college campus and I am also the mom to a very high spirited and active 2 year old named Ty.

Things are even more crazy than normal at work since sorority recruitment is just a week away. We already have about 250 girls registered and we still have a week to go. Last year was the biggest recruitment in school history and we are on pace to break that record, so it is keeping me hopping. I have go through several steps to ensure that each women is eligible to participate including running a grade check on every single woman in our university database. It can be kind of time consuming, but it's also really exciting to see our Greek community growing and thriving after all of the hard work that my staff and I have put in over the past 3 years.

Meanwhile, Ty is still struggling a little in school and continues to get incident reports at least 3 times a week for biting. I am honestly at my wits end, but all of the parenting books that I have read and just said that it's something that he needs to grow out of on his own. But, as I had to leave work 2 hours early today to pick him up instead of going to my last meeting of the day (which was facilitated by my boss's boss) that is hard to remember. He changed classrooms on Monday and he is now the youngest in his class so that hopefully he would be challenged a little more and doing more advanced activities, but so far it doesn't seem to be helping (yet).

In other news, I did end up getting the Saturn Vue Hybrid and I :lovestruc it! It is by far the biggest car I have ever driven, but I am quickly getting used to being up higher and it actually felt weird when I ended up driving my Cavalier home from dinner tonight. Ty is absolutely in awe of the built in DVD player and I am trying hard not to let him watch TV in the car too often, but it has come in very handy in a few instances already! I also am loving the fact that I have XM radio and thus can listen to Radio Margaritaville (Jimmy Buffet's station) day and night.

Anyhow, I miss you all! Please don't forget about me as I probably still won't be around much for at least a few more weeks... but I am looking forward to seeing many of you in October!

Can't wait to meet you on Saturday - see you then:yay:

Hi Jane:wave2:

Gosh your life is busy right now. That can be a good thing. :)I hope your baby boy outgrows the biting stage, that is rough. Also, kudos to you for all you do for the college girls (ahem - I have one in her final semester). Congrats on the Saturn Vue, our next door neighbor who is fairly snooty has one and loves it just like you do. We checked it out and it really is nice.:thumbsup2

Can't wait to see you in Oct, and no, we could never forget you - you silly girl!

Hey Jane, congrats on the new wheels!!

How is Ty's language development going? After running a daycare for 14 years, we obseved that the biters/hitters/pinchers were usually the little ones whoe were struggling with language, and once they got their words, they did much better.

I went to Crusade for Christ's small group tonight with my roomie Beth and her friend Kelsey. It was great meeting more Christian girls and being able to connect. I signed up for their fall retreat which is next Fri - Sun. I'm so excited for it!

Hope everyone else is doing well! Tomorrow is Friday! I still have two classes but afterward the weekend is mine! I plan on FINALLY shipping my exchange gift, doing a bit of seasonal shopping (decor mostly) and grabbing ingredients because I'm itching to bake! I already started a list of favorite fall desserts on the dry erase board on our fridge. I have requests for pumpkin pie, gingersnaps, sugar cookies, and puppy chow! That made me :lmao:. YUM! They better help me eat it because HELLO, I'm trying to LOSE weight not gain it :lmao:

I'm off to reclaim my childhood...aka watching Hannah Montana on Netflix ;)

And I just have to say it again, I can't wait for the mini meet this weekend!!!

Morning my dis diva friends and TGIF!!

So for all my survivor buddies out there what did you think? Wow that Russell guy WHOA! Not liking him at all!!! He needs to go but as usual they will probably be fooled by him and keep him. That REALLY turned me off when he lied to those people about being in Katrina and losing his dog. I HATE people that lie about stuff to get people's sympathy. Remember Johnny Fairplay. YUCK! Hopefully they figure him out and dump him quick! And what do you think of SHAMBO! LOL. She annoys me too!

I know Amy watches Fringe. Anyone else? It was REALLY good too! I SO can't wait for everything else to start next week!! I am REALLY excited for that new show Flash Forward and also Ghost Whisperer cuz Melinda is having her baby on the first show and of course Amazing Race!!! Lot's of good stuff to watch again! I haven't watched regular tv since probably May! LOL

Anyway I LOVE those Tye Dye shirts and I am thinking of ordering one from etsy as well. Linda I love the one that you and Bri have chosen. I may steal your idea if you don't mind. That one is nice and subtle and I like that. I am not into the real in your face tye dye either and I REALLY like that one. Would that bug you if I got the same shirt? I might get it in a long sleeve though if she makes it in long sleeve cuz I am always cold. Esp in Feb! :)

Jane good luck with Ty. I am sure he will grow out of that! And also that is awesome what you are doing with the Greek society. I know how much work that is. I rushed when I was in college! Can't wait to see you again by the way next month! :)

Cristabel have fun on your retreat next weekend! I am glad you are making some good Christian friends!

As for me I am off to work today and then we have Sam's tonight. Chores chores! Then tomorrow after the girls soccer game is massive cleaning time to get the house ready for my friend coming in next week. I am REALLY excited about her coming and the reunion/party. IF we get everything done we MIGHT try to sneak out and FINALLY see HP but I hate to even mention it cuz we never seem to be able to do it.

But anyway that's it for me. Gotta run the girls to school.

Later gators! :)

You're getting the shirts from Cassie?? Cute! I'm getting a similar one, but it will be brown and pink, like I had posted before. I think it's good because it's a bit tie dye, but not in your face hippie tie dye (no offense to those who like the in your face tie dye :hippie:)

Yep, my mom already ordered hers. :thumbsup2 She actually sent Cassie a shirt because she wanted to make sure it fit how she wanted it to. I think she said it's a light gray color, not white. I'm not sure what style shirt it is:confused3 but when she gets it I'll make take a picture of her in it and post it.

very cute!

::yes::

Okay, the shirt is really cute.....but, I just want the body and the tata's!

Ditto!

Super cute. Now if I just look like that when I wear a shirt we'd be set.

I

:rotfl:

Super cute. I can totally see those on you two.

:thumbsup2

Hi Divas! Wow, I blinked, and the thread grew by 5 pages! :goodvibes Thank you all for the warm welcome!

I'm in the middle of an inspection at work right now, so things have been rather wild...I'm going to have to wait till things calm down before I make any decisions. But I didn't want you guys to think I just came to this thread on a whim and then forgot about it.

I hope you all have a "Magical Day", as they say at Disney. I really look forward to getting to know you all better :rotfl:

Kelly

I just wanted you to know that I went through the same thing in 2006 when we had the Ladies Only Trip to WDW.

My dh was like yours he told me to go if I wanted to and I did. I am normally very shy and am not one to do something like this but boy am I glad that I did. I had a blast and made some great friends.

Now I am going to go all the way across the country to have my first DL trip. I expect to have as much fun this time as I did the last.

So please join us. :flower3:

Well if she is able to do that, it might just be an option for me. I'm still going to look around.

TGIF ladies!!! Whoooo!! I am so ready for the weekend. NOT that I have anything thrilling planned like some of y'all, but I'm just ready for a break. :rotfl:

Anyhow, I miss you all! Please don't forget about me as I probably still won't be around much for at least a few more weeks... but I am looking forward to seeing many of you in October!
We'd never forget you!!! Silly goose. Congrats on the new car! When are you gonna pick me up and take me for a spin?? ;)
And I'm sorry to hear about Ty troubles continuing. I wish I had some advice for you, but I guess we were extremely lucky. None of my kids ever bit or were bitten. :confused3 Good luck!

After running a daycare for 14 years, we obseved that the biters/hitters/pinchers were usually the little ones whoe were struggling with language, and once they got their words, they did much better.
I totally forgot you all had the daycare first! I always think of you as the "Chef" now. :)

I have requests for pumpkin pie, gingersnaps, sugar cookies, and puppy chow! That made me :lmao:. YUM! They better help me eat it because HELLO, I'm trying to LOSE weight not gain it :lmao:
Ah, but see that's the best way to do it! You get to bake, sample a piece and pass it all on before you eat it all. Why do you think I am always sending stuff into Ruben's work??? :lmao:
The fall retreat sounds nice. I'm glad you signed up for it.

So for all my survivor buddies out there what did you think? Wow that Russell guy WHOA! Not liking him at all!!! He needs to go but as usual they will probably be fooled by him and keep him. Nice eye candy this time!! :rolleyes1 I really dislike Russell, but as you said, most likely he will stick around for awhile. It's hard to get a real feel for anyone this early on. So many players in the beginning. And some only get a little bit of air time.

What do you mean ditto??? You already do!!

I had a blast and made some great friends.
Exactly! If not for these trips, both WDW and DL, there are so many amazing friends that most likely I never would have met. And I am so grateful to have them all in my life. :goodvibes

Have a great day everyone!!!!! :hippie:

Good morning!
It's Friday! :yay:

I'm going exchange hunting this afternoon. I'm hoping the stores brought out more cute stuff because they were lacking last week.

I'm so happy for the meet tomorrow  I plan on being there at rope drop merely because I haven't in a long time. The park opens at 8am, what time does the parking garage open? Ooo, that reminds me I need to go grocery shopping today as well as snack shopping for the park. I can't believe how much money I save by doing it. At Wal-mart it costs me the same to buy a 6 pack of coke as it does for ONE bottle at Disneyland. Simply outrageous but what can you do?

I have a rumbly in my tumbly so I'm off to have breakfast.

Why is that? The color used to work, why doesn't it anymore?

I think at the last major board upgrade, some coding may have been missed for some of the boards, including our Disneyland boards, and so we don't see that color pallette. I sent an email to webmasteralex, but so far no go here.

Hello Ladies.

Let me introduce myself, my name is Shirley and I am a DIS Diva wanna be. I am also a Disneyland virgin. I was almost 2 when it was built and always wanted to go there.

:welcome:

Hey ladies for the Saturday T-shirt........weren't we kind of thinking to use something like Heather's princess pirate. The one that is in black and pink?? Is it still on the front page? Or, I still think it would be fun to have the just the castle outlined in glitter, or just a crown with Mickey ears scrolled into it in glitter. Do you kind of get the feeling that I like glitter? How about some rhinestones? :hyper: ::yes:: At one time I had asked my son to design something for me, and then we decided on Tink last year. Anywhos, just throwing out ideas.

I like these ideas :thumbsup2

Just bringing this up from the front as I like to do every now and then so it can be reviewed and any mistakes or anything I left out can be added. So if you see anything, let me know! Wanna keep it current. Thanks gals. :flower3:
I added the t-shirt colors next to the day to make it easier. Oh, and I say t-shirt but really it can be anything in that color. Sweatshirt, sweater, tee, tank, whatever depending on your style and the weather.

I like all these, including the red shirt idea. I didn't get a Tink tee last year and would really like one. Does anyone still have the link to order them?

Well I just ran and met mom for lunch and other than a CRAZED maniac that tried to run me over (sheesh) ROAD RAGE MUCH! We booked our room for Feb!!

I was sitting at a red light getting ready to make a right turn and it was NOT clear. Not to mention the ONLY ticket I have ever gotten in my life (which I JUST got this past year) was for turning on red. The cop said I didn't stop but I did but anyway I got a ticket and it was 500!!! So needless to say ever since I have been VERY cautious about turning and I always make VERY sure it is clear and that I have stopped the necessary amount of time. Well this IDIOT behind me came FLYING up on my bumper and then when I didn't go IMMEDIATELY he starts honking. Well of course I ignored him cuz I COULDN'T go and then when it was clear I DID go and then he flies up next to me and then slows down and rolls down his window and starts SCREAMING at me. I was like whatever dude. So then I slow down and HE slows down. So I speed up and same thing. He then starts weaving into my lane like he is going to hit me. I am like WHAT is your gig you idiot! First you expect me to pull out in FRONT of oncoming traffic ON a red light and then you get mad at me when I don't. Then you start SCREAMING at me. You crazy lunatic. So I put my phone up to my ear and motioned to him that I was calling the cops and then he really starts coming at me. I started freaking out cuz I was afraid he was going to follow me into the restaurant parking lot but luckily he didn't. IF he would have slowed down or pulled up enough for me to get his license number I WOULD have called the cops on him but I never was able to. SHEESH!

Kelly, that is a pretty scary experience. Someone did something like that to me once, and I remembered how afraid that he would really hurt me. I'm glad that you're okay. :)

My mom and I are getting ones like this
il_430xN.79991379.jpg

This will look so good on you!! I, however, would look like one big sack of lumpy potatoes.... I can't wear long t-shirts. :)

Have a great day everyone!
