Hey everyone! It's been sometime since we last talked and i'm sure your dying to hear another trip report from me since my last report was packed with everything from me getting stung by a bee at 4 in the morning prior to us leaving for Disney:mad:; all the way to needing to call a doctor in Disney since the baby was running a fever.:sad2: I will do a recap on the past few trips since then you will know how our trips usually go.

So this is what to expect out of this report....

An introduction of us
The good the bad and the ugly side
A recap of the past years
The countdown and the dance that you must all do with me:banana:
tons of pictures and videos
lots of plans and Disney craft projects on the go
and my endless packing along with everything in between.......
Did I mention about my long long long list of ADR's that I have to make in a few days? I have all the top places that we want to eat at. Which I better get or someone will be a little cranky writing this report.:rolleyes1

So come on in and say hi; grab a drink:drinking1 and some popcorn popcorn::and watch the craziness start.:jumping1:

Well let's try this a second time around. I had it all typed out and my computer froze and I lost everything.

Okay everyone this is an introduction to our family. I know that this picture is not really recent but it's the only one basically with me in it. I don't do pics. I have a weight issue and I am trying to work on it. Until then I don't do many pics.

So here we go. I'm Lannah and I'm 37 and i'm addicited to Disney. There I said it. :rotfl: I have 3 wonderful girls and a hubby to boot. I have ran my own in home daycare for over 10 years now and I also have my own diaper-towel cake business too. I always get people asking me what a diaper cake is; so here is the answer. A diaper cake is when you take the diapers and form them into a something that resembles a tier level cake. Then you add your baby items to it and then it becomes a diaper cake. If you look to the left you will see that my avatar has a picture of a Mickey Mouse cake that I made for twin boys. As for the towel cakes they can be transformed into anything from wedding shower cakes to house warming gifts.

I love to travel and wish we had more time to do so. The usual places that we go are Niagara Falls, Disney, and the Florida Keys to name a few. The hubby wants to try others but I can't commit to anything since my theory is...why should we go to those places like the Bahamas. What are the kids going to do? Sit on the beach for a week? At least at Disney they have lots to do. (See isn't that a good theory?) :confused3 I thought so. As for now I'm stuck with Disney.

In 2005 was our first trip and ever since then I was hooked. Now prior to that I could careless if I went to Disney or not. :scared1: (I know...can you believe that I was like that once upon a time?) I wasn't into the big hype of Mickey and Minnie and the other characters. I didn't watch it on TV when I was younger so I just didn't relate. Mind you when I had that rough year in 2005 with losing a baby that was due at Christmas and losing my grandfather along with Dakoda my daughter at the time being sick where the doctors didn't know what was wrong; it was time to take that leap and go to Disney for alittle magic. I needed that getaway. I needed a place to leave it all behind and have no care in the world. Plus my darling parents paid the bill and off we went. :thumbsup2 BTW- the trip was great and I was able to reduce some of the tension and stress. That was the trip that I came home pregnant from Disney with Kendyll:lovestruc .:rolleyes1

I absolutley love doing craft projects and such. I also need to give a shout out here to all of you DIS'er's that I'm mad at since you keep posting more and more projects to do.:headache: You know my hubby is going to hate me doing all these. I have everything from making my own Disney Bible to making boutique Minnie clothes for Kendyll. Just wait till you see the pictures of everything.

Now onto the hubby. His name is Kevin and we have been together for over 20 years and married for 14 of them. He's a great guy. Can't ask for much better unless he's willing to "support" Mickey a little better financially for I can visit him more. :rotfl:

He likes everything from quarter mile racing (we have a Mustang Cobra) to his obsession with electronics. If having 9 TV's, I-pod touches, cell phones, 2 PC computers and 3 laptops isn't an obsession then I don't know what is. Oh hey wait a minute...that would be me. Me and Disney:lovestruc

Kev's a great hubby and father. He recently lost his job (after many many years), due to the downturn cycle of the economy. He worked at Plastec which was a feeder plant for the big 3. If you don't know what the big 3 is, well that would be Chryslers, GM and Fords. We live on the outskirts of Windsor Ontario and they and Detroit Michigan are well known for being the automotive part of North America. So if you lived in the area and your company didn't fold up well then more and likely you seen it down size in employees. That was the bad part. Now the good part is that Kevin found another job with a tad bit lesser pay within a week of losing his other. He's been at this job for a year and a half now. At least he has something, and over time I'm sure he will find something that is more fitting for him and the family.

As for him being a dad. One of the special things that I love is when he wants to spend quality time with me and the girls for family night. We play games or watch movies together and everything inbetween. We really enjoy hanging out together and his time spent with us.

As for the kids I will get into them in the next post.

Okay moving onto my 3 wonderful girls with the oldest daughter being Shelby.

p23164ta100451_10_0-2.gif

Shelbyprincess: is 11 and will be turning 12 on December 1st in Disney. We do have a few things planned for her as in taking her to Beaches and Cream for the Kitchen Sink; (which is a surprise). Then since we will be in Epcot on the 1st she wants her birthday dinner at Tappen Edo. We ate there last December and it was great. The food was great and the show was funny. (Remeind me later....I'll post last years video of the show).

Oh yeah....I was thinking of doing the Disney Hotair Balloon ride for her. For all of you that didn't hear the price on it ....well hold onto your hat. It's around $20.00 for 6 minutes.:scared1: Yes a total of 6 minutes. Not sure if we are going to do it or not; and if we do it, not sure if we will want to try during the day or night. I think both would be great. Other than that I will need some ideas thrown my way if you have them as what else to do for her.

Shelby has bugged to go on this trip once she found out that this year it was all about celebrations. It didn't take much convincing for me as to her dad. ;)
I'm all for it.

Next inline is Dakoda. princess:
p23164ta100451_7_0-2.gif

She is going into grade 5 and is 9 years old. She is also another Disney lover. I can already tell that when she has a family of her own, Disney will be right there for her family trips.

Every day she wants to play this one game I made up. It's like a Disney trivia game on guessing certain things like for example.... We went to this place before. It's a resturant. This place is along the monorail. They have Tiki's there..... and when she knows the answer she shouts it out. Now if her and Shelby play as in a contest I give them a qaurter for each right answer. Believe me for all you out there thinking that all I give them is a lousy qaurter....well think again. My kids have managed to get over $80.00 out of me on this game towards spending money for the mouse. I told them that they are allowed to take a MAX of $300.00 each. I think that is plenty. That would be $900.00 for the girls and then another $500.00 for Kev and I. If we need more spending money than that....well there is something wrong. $1400.00 in Disney stuff ....I don't think so... Mind you we have alot of good ideas that we want to do and things to buy as later on i'll tell more.

Dakoda is an excellent animations drawer and I can't wait to take her to the Hollywood Studios Animation Studio. That's where you can take drawing lessons. She will be tickled pink. Another thing she is looking forward to is the "pick a peral" in Epcot and DTD.

Overall that is Dakoda. *Sorry hon...maybe next year we can go on your birthday*

Last my not least is my baby doll Kendyll. princess: She is that little something that we brought home from Disney in 2005 when I had that bad year. She turn that year into something positive and promising. It couldn't of happened at a better momment in life.

p23164ta100451_9_0-1.gif

Well my Disney baby is no more baby. She thinks of herself as a big girl now. She has been potty trained for over a year now, but her fallback is her bottle. OMGosh that is like her security blanket. I have taken it away but she stopped drinking milk. She wont drink it in her sippy cup. She went 2 weeks without milk so I finally gave in. To me milk is very important at her age. Plus I need her to grow less than 1 inch to go on the big girl rides like Splash Mountain, BTMR, Test track, and so on. She keeps saying..."I go to Disney, I'm a big girl.....no more ba ba's". :rotfl: So this is what i have instore. Yes she can have her bottle now and on the drive to Disney but she can't have it at the parks or resturants. That's fair. Oh yeah ...she can have it at night before bed. I know ...some of you are saying..."well I had my kids off the bottle at 2 years old.".....that's you....not me...and I'm a sucker. Plus the final plan is to tell her that we need to leave the bottles in Disney for the other babies to use. Maybe that will finally help with the change.

This trip will be her 3 trip to the world and she is a smart one. I bet is knows 90% of the Disney characters. Everyone says that I brainwashed her. :rotfl: That's okay Kendyll.... you just love Disney like Mommy does.:lovestruc I will post later on some of her cute knowledge of Disney.:cloud9:

I found with her and the age that is at that she can't comprehend when we are actually going to Disney. So the girls and I made her a ring chain out of coloured paper and everyday she rips off a ring. We are now 95 days out. Then after the ring is off we do the Disney dance. <---- don't ask...I'm not showing you guys how "I" do the Disney dance. :laughing:This is the only way you will see....:banana::banana:

Well other than that....that's the basic on her.

NEXT POST:- Should be about the past vacations to the mouse.

I'm in! Your first trip report sounds like mine. We had a few mishaps too....someone lost a tooth, we got stuck on a ride, my husband got run over by a scooter and more! You should come over for a read.

I'm looking forward to hearing more of your adventures.

Lisa

Hey Lisa...Glad you joined in. I started reading your trip report... OMG we are alike. Hopefully I can finish reading it tonight.

I know...I'll post soon with a recap on our past vacations to Disney and all the mishaps that happened; but for tonight....I'm so excited...I get to make my ADR's on Tuesday morning at 6am. I am soooooooooooooooooo excited.:yay::yay::yay: These are the ones that i'm trying to get.....

Planet Hollywood

Tappen Edo

Kona

Yack and Yetti

Ohana

50's Prime Time

Chef Mickey's

Liberty Tree Tavern

Tutto Ialia

Crystal Palace

Whispering Canyon

1900 Park Fare

Those are all for dinner. I am also maybe thinking about a special birthday breakfast for Shelby. I just don't know where. We are at Epcot that day so I would need something off site I believe. Any ideas????

I was going to suggest Ohana for breakfast but you are already planning to go there for dinner. For breakfast, it's Lilo and Stitch, Mickey, Pluto I think and maybe someone else. Anyways, I've eaten at WCC for breakfast and went to Ohana and it blew me away, the food was just as great as WL and the characters were fun and came around twice!

I was also going to say Chef Mickey's but you are already eating there too. I think Donald has a breakfast at Beach Club called Cape May. I have not eaten there.

1900 park fare for breakfast was yummy! We saw Mary Poppins, mad hatter, alice, all the winnie the poohs, and I think that was it. I liked Ohana food better but 1900 was great as well!

I guess in the park has more options: Princess Norway breakfast, Crystal Palace, Cinderellas, Tusker House Donald breakfast...

Just some options?? Hope that helps!

Wow it sounds like you had an excellent breakfast at Ohana. We might have to try that. By any chance do they do tonga toast like Kona? I'm dying to try some. Alot of DIS'ers rave about it on here it seems. Thanks for the tip.

Have you eaten dinner at Chef Mickey's before? We ate there about two weeks ago and I have to say, I was extremely disappointed. The food was barely above average and the character interaction was just okay. Maybe they were having a bad day.:confused3

Ohana for breakfast is a set menu: eggs, bacon, waffles, fresh fruit, etc.

They don't have tonga toast at Ohana but if you did not want to eat at Kona just for that you can go downstairs to Captain Cooks (CS) and get it, they have it down there. You just go up to the touch screen and order them and pay and pick up your order. I've had both at CC and at Kona and they are the same and good but very sweet! I can typically only eat 1/2 of it :)

Thanks.. I've never ate at Captain Cooks and that is perfect. I think maybe we will run for a quick tonga toast dash and then jump on the monorail to go to Epcot for the day. Breakfast on the run. Great tip. At least if we don't do this as her birthday breakfast maybe we could just do it one of our other days we are there.

I cna't wait to try it. What a perfect breakfast....Tonga Toast and a dole whip.:lovestruc:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

right ont he outskirts of windsor with you :woohoo:
following along... take me with you??

Hey neighbour....how's it going? Well make sure you pack your bags and be ready for Nov. 27th and you can hitch a ride with us.:rotfl: I know...doesn't it suck when it's not your time to go. I hate not having a trip in the future to plan. We took off one year that the baby was born... and she kept me busy so I didn't need to plan a trip right away; so other than that I plan for one every year. Infact I have so many Disney things on the go that I need more time. November is coming up really fast for us. We have back to school...Thanksgiving....Halloween....Dakoda's birthday...christmas tree set up....decorate the house....and Disney. Plus I have to fit all my projects in there too.
