Forgot to pay balance today !!!!!!

The balance of our holiday was due to be paid today and what with one thing and another I forgot :confused:

Please reassure me that tomorrow will still be okay to pay and that they havent cancelled my holiday already :scared1:
 
Check on your terms and conditions on the paperwork you have been given already to see what it says on there.

Also, be on the telephone 1st thing in the morning! :scared1:

Who have you booked with? If its Virgin you can pay online under "manage my booking" and still get it done today.
 


We did the same,compleate oversight and didn't remember till the next day. I was in a state of panic......Virgin were fine, didn't seem to worry them at all.

You will be fine, they alway send letters out if you miss the date.
 
You will be fine - we paid our holiday about 6 days late, but I did request it and they were fine about it:thumbsup2
 


they dont normally cancel it till around 2 weeks after the due date, they send letters normally first to warn you

However, a special thank you to Tink. I had booked direct with Disney and having read the terms and conditions it stated that "payment must be made 8 weeks out and that no reminds will be issued and cancel may ensue if monies are not recieved".

Realistically I never thought they would cancel our holiday over just one day, but I was then advised to check if I could pay on line which I did at 11.45pm last night, so all sorted, stress over.:thumbsup2

I had reminders sent after I had missed a payment not before though, (I had canceled but they hadn't done it)

we paid going places 1 day late got my self in a right stat and the manageress in the shop said it didnt matter they also say they wont send out reminders, but did.
still alls well that ends well

Most TA's ask for the money around 2-4 weeks before the balance is due to the holiday company. This gives them a chance to

1) get the interest on banking your money before they pay the balance due
2) time to sort out the late payers - they get nothing if you cancel so would rather you paid a week late than cancel completely.

I doubt any agency would cancel if you were just 1 day late - they would rather have you pay than them cancel your hols and take your money elsewhere!!!

That reminds me! Had a minor panic attack until I worked out 8 weeks is 4th Sep :scared1:
