This is totally random, but every time I open this thread, the french toast w/the pink sauce pops up. I need to go back and read what it is, and where it is from, and if it was gross, but it looks gross to me. Just had to throw that out there... Not to be rude. Now the drinks on the other hand.....Oh, that's on another trip report I am keeping up with.

Kara - do Jeff and Ally have to do the Kid Pass thing for you on Dumbo, the teacups and the Aladdin rides?

I can't believe someone would do that. I would understand if it only took 5 minutes to ride BTMRR, but being gone that long. When you have young kids like that you just have to understand there are things you won't be able to do together.

I love that Jeff was "That Guy". Do they ever allow kids to be "That Guy"? Jacob so wants to be "That Guy", was actually thinking of making him a t-shirt saying he wants to be "That Guy".

Maybe Buzz is more for men and TSMM is more for women. I beat Jacob at TSMM and he beats me on Buzz, seems like it is the same for Jonas also.

I have only seen Monsters Inc twice and both times it has been a man. I think kids would love it though!!!

I wll look for Allys Horse in September and beat down people to ride it for her !!!I LOVE the Carrousel!! It is one of my all time favorite rides anywhere !!!

Yes, it's called the Mommy Swap and I just look for the chicken exit. Actually, it should be called the Shopping Swap because I usually end up in a shop somewhere, waiting for them to finish up. And then Jeff comes in to find me with bags that I didn't need......

It's true..... If you've read my previous reports you know that I have a lucky streak, and it's happened again!

Just got back from another weekend in the World! We live in Jacksonville, just 2 1/2 hrs from WDW and we make the most of it.

This time, I didn't even need to drag my DH kicking and screaming. In fact, HE wanted to leave earlier than we actually did! Someone fess up - who's pumping the pixie dust into his office???

He was excited to check out our latest resort - Animal Kingdom Lodge. We try to stay at a different resort each trip, and this one was a bit intriguing for us. And because of that, this trip was done totally different than others.

Here we are.

Me. Kara. 42. Being advised to enroll in a Disney 12-step program.

DH. Jeff. 39. Never lets me forget he's younger. Loves Disney when we're there, but outta sight, outta mind. So I make it a point to get him there for a weekend about every other month.

DD. Ally. 8. Going on 18. Loves Disney like her mama. Also knows she is spoiled rotten at WDW so she never turns down a trip.

Jeff fears that we will get "bored" if we go to WDW too often. Well, he also FEARS Dinosaur, but that's in my LAST Trip Report. Anywho....

Somehow, each time we "do" Disney, we do it right. And we don't overdo it or redo it. It's always different. Somehow, the magic remains trip after trip. And this trip we were lucky enough to experience a new resort, and new experiences on old attractions. Stick with me and I'll do my best to take you on a humorous trip with my family. Our trips are anything but dull...... especially when you're with "that guy" from Monsters Inc. Oh, did I give away too much?

The past couple of times I have had to ride in a cup w/my DD who doesn't like all rides and we can't spin! DH rides w/DD who likes all rides, and they spin like mad. THIS time, I am going to switch!

So after Monster's Inc, we hit a couple of other attractions, and then started making our way to the parade route. I hadn't seen the parade in a couple of years and I love the interaction between the characters and the kids here so I made up my mind that we would definitely see this.

Jeff is not a parade person, and his sister didn't want to "waste time" with it either, but I was going with or without them. And Ally was on my side.

So everyone agreed to go grab a seat. We were seated diagonally across from Casey's, which would make for an easy exit after the parade.

Yes, our trip was almost at an end at this point.

We were positioned right next to a few college aged kids, who I quickly figured out where off duty CMs. And then it didn't take long to figure out they were not only off duty CMs, but off duty CMs who perform in the parade!!!!

They knew everyone in the parade, and were sooooo obnoxious about it! It was nonstop screams of "Dopey, I love you, come give me a hug!" Or similar nonsense.

And the bad part was, each character rushed over to our side of the parade route, to "talk" to or hug, these obnoxious people. Luckily for us, Ally was next in line so she got handshakes or hugs from a lot of characters this time, but the other side of the street was completely ignored.

And I actually saw Tweedle Dee (or was it Dum?) who tried to "talk" to the gal next to us. Uh, isn't that a big no-no for characters???? I almost took their pics and sent it to Disney later. Because seriously, there was just no place for that. Not with real paying guests up and down the street. And kids who really "believe" and would be thrilled to meet the characters.

Anyway.... on to the parade pics!

Good thing Jeff still had his seatbelt on here cause there was some movin and shakin going on....

Sorry to hear about the characters not behaving, but you did get some great parade shots being next to their friends. I hope they didn't ruin it for some little one, if they heard them talk!
