WOW - My DD(14) danced and sang in the Parade on 30/7/09

We returned yesterday from a fabulous trip, my DD(14)'s dance school performed a 20 min dance set in the fantasyland Festival Stage on Wed night, and then danced and sang in the Mardi Gras pre-parade on thurs evening with 2 other dance schools. It was amazing!The performance was great and they had a good audience, but for me seeing her coming down main street with all the crowds cheering gave me goose bumps and brought me close to tears!

Congratulations to your DD....it must have been fantastic. My own neice is doing this in August, unfortunately we didn't know about it until after we booked so won't get to watch her

thanks for all your comments, yes it was a dream come true and we were very proud. Being 14 our daughter doesn't smile much apparently its not cool! However on this occasion her face positively glowed!

I know your neice will thoroughly enjoy herself, but you must be so frustrated that you didn't know before you booked - she will just have to go again(because she will definitely want to!)

And if any of your daughters or sons (we had 7 boys ranging from 8 to 18 in the dance troupe) get the opportunity to do this I would highly recommend it!
