Our 3rd Trip to WDW, Sept' 09, *TOC on Pg 1* *TR STARTED - CLICK ON THE LINK*

awesome photos oregondaddy! :) Have you ever used Adobe Lightroom instea of Photoshop? I've converted over to that for the basic editing. For the major stuff (removing things from the picture, etc) I use Photoshop but Lightroom is just so much easier to use and figure out.

I got the pins from mousepinsonline.com The kids like to trade with the cast members...

I will let Terry answer the question on the shirts... He was the one who did everything on those, i just gave the orders for what I wanted...

We should try and hook up on the Animal kingdom day, I think it was the 18th for both of us... We both have ADR's for Tusker House that morning... Mine at 8:00am and yours at 8:30am if memory serves me correctly...

I will have to go back and see how old your grandson will be when you travel, then i will see if I have an words of wisdom!
Hi Sorry it took me so long to get back. I trying to get some extra things done before our trip. Only 44 days to go!!:yay:
i will check out "mousepinonline" We traded pins on our 1st trip ( my daughter and I ) and really enjoyed it and are lokking forward to doing it again:) We did not know about it before we went, so brought pins at the WDW store and it got very expensive.

I would LOVE it if we could hook up on the Sept 18th :goodvibes
Maybe we could exchange cell # when we get closer, I hope to see you at Pop's before that .althought, And YES you where right about the time,:thumbsup2

My grandson with 2 years and 3/4 ( he will be 3 in Dec) Looking forward to your words of wisdom:)

Terry, your photos are BEAUTIFUL, looking forward to see what you WDW trip pictures are like.:goodvibes
If you have any tips on taking pictures I would be glad to learn.

Can you tell me what program to get for printing Tee shirt designs?

thanks
Grace

Is it bad that we already have our next vacation starting to be planned??? Is it worse that it is just under 2 years away?? :confused3

Terry and I have decided not to go to WDW next year... We are going to wait until June/July of 2011 until the next big trip... :scared:

Anyone want to take any bets on how long that will last???

As most of you know, Disney Cruise Line is building 2 new ships... And sending the Wonder to LA for what I am assuming will be Mexican Riviera cruises...

SO! We are taking a Disney Cruise in June of 2011... Last part of June, maybe beginning of July... Terry turns 30 on the 4th of July that year so we are planning a 3 week blowout... If all goes according to plan and he gets all the time off... Here is how it will work, depending on the dates of the cruise...

We will drive to Las Vegas... yes, Las Vegas, not Los Angeles... you see, we are taking someone with us... :) Terry's aunt that we both go visit, LOVES cruises... She also loves Disney... :lovestruc Even better, she can drink Terry and I under the table... :lmao: She is a great aunt and we love her to pieces... Alec and Tailor adore her and she acts like a big kid with them... Her husband died a few years back and he was one of my favorite people in the whole world... His smile could brighten a room... No matter how mad you were or how bad you day was going, he could turn it right around... I have no doubt he will be with us in spirit on this cruise. She is very excited about this trip... She called the other day since Terry will be there in just 5 short days and I casually asked her if she was interested if we decided to do it, well, I got a call back 2 hours later and she had already decided on a Cat. 6 and where on the boat she wanted to be... I told terry how excited she was and Terry aid, "Well, I guess we just decided to take a cruise!" :thumbsup2

Anyways, I got sidetracked there...

Drive to Las Vegas... pick up Aunt... Drive to Los Angeles... Spend a few days at Disney and hopefully a day or 2 at Universal... Get on cruise... I am assuming it will be a week long cruise... Drive back to Vegas... leave kids with Aunt... Terry and I get room on the strip and party for his birthday for a few nights... pick up kids... Drive home...

Jordo... This means we need to keep in touch and make sure sure to hook up while we are in your neck of the woods...

We are thinking it will be a 3 week trip... We will not have the kids in the car day after day, we will get to Aunt's house and spend like 2 days, then head to LA, then after we get back to Aunt's we will spend a day or 2 also... plus we won't drive straight through from Salem to Vegas either, we will stop in Reno...

The hard part of this, is we are not telling the kids... And I can't keep my mouth shut... :rolleyes1 This will be hard for me... I think they will eventually be told we are going to see Aunt, but the cruise and any time at a theme park will also be a surprise...

Any bets on how long I can keep the secret???

Your cruise sounds fun! I'll have to check into the west coast cruises.

I managed to keep my mouth shut untill a week before our trip last year...if I can do it any one can!

I have actually been thinking of planning a cruise for 2011 also! It's my 40th birthday that year and I want to do something BIG! I wanted to go to Europe but that is just too expensive for me to take both of my teenagers plus the american dollar isnt worth much over there. So I have decide to take a Disney Cruise from Florida :sail: (we have never been on a cruise ever!) so I can take my step daughter with us this time (she isnt coming with us on our trip this year because she is turning 16 in December and is having a BIG Sweet 16 party) I want to hit the Bahamas etc and WDW for a few days.

Do you know how soon you can start planning and making payments on a 2011 cruise? :boat:

From everything I am hearing, they will release prices and dates in November of this year...

That gives me a month after we return from this trip to rat hole the deposit away! I am hoping to have the cruise booked by the end of the year, and get it paid off ASAP, and also get our passports ordered also... I still have my parents trip to pay for during that time too, but should still be able to get it all paid off in the time frame I am wanting if I put my mind to it...

Thanks for the info, I will start looking and make my deposit by Jan or Feb 2010 and then it will probably take me till 2011 to pay it off :lmao: Next will be what time of year to go? :confused3 My b-day is in April but I may have to wait till summer time to take the cruise so that the kids are out of school and we dont have to worry about them missing more than a week of High School. (since I want to go longer than a week!)

 for 2011!!!

Hey, I don't think it's nuts at all to begin planning your next trip. We're already thinking into 2012 over here... that is WL or BW in December. You know, December 2012- I have to get one more trip in before the world ends on the 21st :rotfl:

Stopping in Reno then Vegas and onto LA? Woo, sounds like a fun trip! Have you ever been to Lake Tahoe? It's about an hour outside of Reno but it's sooooo goregous!

I don't think it's too early to plan either! You can't just start planning at the last minute, right?! A cruise sounds so wonderful - I know you'll all have the best time, especially with a cool auntie (why is Auntie Mame coming to mind? LOL).

The wedding pictures are gorgeous, Terry - you have such a good eye! :thumbsup2

Coolio on the cruise! I'm hoping to meet up with you when you're down here if not sooner!

Please save the June 2012 dates now:thumbsup2

Do we have any ideas on what the June 2012 dates will be?? We gotta work on getting someone to keep our kids for 2 weeks!! We may have to do one or the other, I can get someone for a week but 2 may be hard... Terry and I talked about doing Disney WOrld with you for your birthday then going on a Carnival cruise for our anniversary if we can get the kids taken care of for the full 2 weeks... Terry's aunt is a school teacher so she is off during the summer, maybe we can sweet talk her into keeping them for us...

Thanks!! I downloaded Lightroom and tried it for a few minutes, but didn't want to spend the money on it... I got Photoshop for very cheap and I have gotten used to using it, so I have the basic stuff figured out... Lightroom was surely the more user-friendly program though...

We have been working on planning our daily schedule using Ridemax :thumbsup2... We finished a few days and wanted to share Day 1 to show you how we are doing our binder... For those who have never used Ridemax, you will get an idea of what it can do for you... After Ridemax spit out the best schedule for what we wanted to see, I took the schedule, pasted it on a Word document, and added our ADR's with confirmation #'s at the bottom... I also added park hours at the top... We then took maps out of last year's Passporter and I scanned them into the computer.... I printed out the schedule on one side, and the map on the other... We are going to get these papers laminated so that they don't get ruined... Here is what day 1 looks like...

We are happy with the way things turned out... We were able to get everything we wanted to see into the days we are there, as well as leave a few days as relaxing days to view the parks at our leisure  ...

Now we figured that we would share what is in the "Binder of Fury" as I call it...

3770566040_2713a5e0c8_b.jpg

The first tab inside has travel documents. These include our skymiles cards, our flight itineraries, our Disney vacation package details, as well as all receipts from the package, gift card receipts, map of the hotel, stamps for postcards, and the addresses we will need for the postcards...

3770566430_756392f2cf_b.jpg

The second tab contains our packing lists broken down by person and by suitcase...

3770566628_e52813b31d_b.jpg

The next tab is all about our ADR's and dining credits...

3770566884_5281897318_b.jpg

3769768085_f09694e5da_b.jpg

The 4th tab is all about the budget as my wife is a planning freak... She likes to break it down each night to see how much we spent in cash, out of our bank account, gift cards, etc...

3769768237_4674c7d1c5_b.jpg

The last tab is a copy of our touring schedule in case something happens to our laminated copies we are going to make...

***IMAGE WAS REMOVED DUE TO COPYRIGHT FROM RIDEMAX... SORRY FOLKS***

We have a green folder inside the back of the binder... It holds all of the window clings that we have made for the hotel room, stroller tags, and the master touring sheets...

Yes, you saw stroller tags in the photos, because we are bringing a stroller for our DD... Although she is 5, it is much more relaxing on us and her to be able to ride around on the long days... Staying for 2 weeks, it was out of the question to rent one from Disney, so we decided to just buy one and bring it with us... Here is a picture of the stroller we bought... iIt is a MacLaren Volo...

Here is a picture of our Halloween party tickets with the custom envelope we made...

Each of the kids have their own envelope which contain their gift cards they have earned from doing chores, as well as some Disney Cash... The Build-a-Bear cards can be used at T-Rex for Build-a-Dino...

While we are busy doing the planning and photos, our heffalump (aka- Gracie) is trying to stay cool in this 107 degree weather which we are not used to... She is curled up on the couch in front of the air conditioner and fan...
