What's the Big Deal With Staying On Property Anyway? *Goodbyes* 12/17 p.114

A nice CM offered to take this for us (not our server, but a man taking care of a table near us). The servers at the restaurant were great.

What a nice family photo!! :goodvibes As the designated photographer in my family, I know that it's wonderful to actually get a chance to be in the shot for a change!!

Hmmm. Are you headed for Flights of Wonder?

Kathy

Cute Tusker House pictures:goodvibes I just love those Safari outfits. I don't remember Tusker House being any more chaotic than other character meals, but it may be because we had an 8:10 ADR. My guess is you are all heading to Dinosaur:eek:

What a great picture of your gang with Mickey and how sweet that you had your birthday celebration extended!

I love the picture in Asia with the blooming tree -- so pretty!

Sorry to hear you didn't fully enjoy Tusker House. I have an ADR for Sept, but thinking of canceling since we cancelled the FD package and went room only that trip.

Love the cupcake and so sweet that those little girls told you Happy Birthday.

Now, I was agreeing with everyone else about EE or Dinosaur, but now wondering, like Kathy, if it could be Flights of Wonder since you posted all of those pics of the birds.

Love the flowering tree. Those are so beautiful.

Fantastic pic with Mickey!

Great installment, I keep telling Bill I want to go to Tusker House, he has no desire at all to go :rotfl:. I loved your pictures. I have no idea where you are going next but can't wait to read about it!

We love Boma for breakfast and I found Tusker House to be similar. That yummy, yummy juice!

You are right, the first seatings are much quieter. We ate right at 8:05 last year and the place was only half full and very calm and quiet. :thumbsup2

That's what I figured. I think we're going to have to try an early morning ADR sometime. I usually like to make them for lunchtime so save money.

Love the family photo with Mickey!

My guess is you're heading either for Expedition Everest or Dinosaur.

Thanks! And nope. ;)

Good guess, but nope. I offered to go to it, but the boys weren't interested.

I think early morning ADRs are the way to go at Tusker House. And no, not Dinosaur.

I love that picture. :)

Thanks Melissa! And no - as I said above, not Flights of Wonder. Those birds are actually pretty close to the attraction we were headed to, if I remember correctly. It was after we crossed the bridge.

Love the family pic with Mickey!

Yay for more birthday celebrating! That cupcake looks YUMMY!!

Great pics - they look like they could be postcards - so pretty!

Hmm.. Are you headed for It's Tough to be a Bug? Tusker House interests me. An early breakfast there might be fun.:goodvibes Great picture of your family!

*ding* *ding* *ding* We have a winner! :thumbsup2

YAY!!!! for the belated birthday cupcake and song! :cool1:

:bday:

I remember our trip in 05 to Disney to celebrate the twins b-days' and I'm not sure if was the day before or after their actual day, but in a CS eating lunch a CM spotted one of the twins b-day pins (back then they had dif ones for each park) and brought over a trading pin and then when we said it was twins, she brought another pin and a HUGE bear paw cup cake for them to share plus got several CM's to sing to them. It will always be a special highlight of mine for them on that trip.

I'm so glad you finally got that special Disney b-day magic!

Love the group shot w/ Mickey so cute!

Really cute Tusker House pictures! :) We haven't been there since they changed it.

What a yummy looking cupcake! So sweet about the twin girls!

Waah, I didn't get to guess where you went next! :snooty: (I really didn't have a guess though. lol)

I still miss the old Tusker House...:sad2:

We generally don't do Character Breakfasts for the very reason that it can get loud. After 17 years working at very popular restaurants, I like my restaurant experience to be a little more sedate....That said, I don't think I've heard one bad thing about the food OR service which might draw me in for their lunch or dinner.

Hmmmm...Dinosaur?

Great update carissa, I am so happy they made such a fuss for your birthday!!! How cute about the twin little girls too! I agree with you and think the first seating in the morning isn't too bad, I have never had a loud experience at Tusker House in the early am but could definitely see how it would get loud later on in the morning!!:goodvibes LOVE the family picture!:goodvibes

It's also those special moments that make each trip unique. :goodvibes

We ate at the old Tusker House once and it was very yummy. Our main reason for doing the character meals is it allows us to get pictures with characters without waiting in line. We'll only wait in line for a character if it's very short.

Thanks Diane :goodvibes One more birthday surprise to come. ;)

Back on track! Okay so it sounds like AK was a winner of a day so far!!! Early arrival, the kid adventure stations (I didn't know they had a "passport" for AK??!!) Nice breakfast/brunch with characters and a cupcake! And now Its a BUGS Life??!! My boys thought that one was a HOOT!... They kept trying to grab stuff!! Can't wait to hear your story!!

Great update Carissa.

I'm enjoying all the different Tusker House stories. We always did Restaurantasaurus. It was a favorite. So when they moved the breakfast, I just followed. Hope it's as good as it used to be.

And how nice that you got another little birthday surprise.

Looking forward to hearing about ITTBAB. We've never done it, but might try on this trip. :)

What a shame you missed out on Kim Possible, yet another reason to go back, those excuses are stacking up ;) :rotfl:

Great safari photos and your meal sounds great even if it was too loud!

Tusker House looks like fun. My son is loud, so he should fit right in. We may try it on our next trip. That is a great family picture.

Great shots in AK!

I've found that character meals are always quiter the first seating.
Even with the noise, it looks like you had a great time. Were they serving breakfast or lunch?

Great AK updates! I love the safari.
That cupcake was perfect at TH! It's too bad it was so noisy. I and the BFF are going to the breakfast at 8:15AM during the Sept. trip. I bet it will be crowded due to free dining. I couldn't get the time I wanted on the day I wanted. I had to switch days. It's an EMH morning. It should be interesting.
