We are staying one night at the Dolphin before we move to Pop for our 5 nights there. I'm trying to figure out where we want to have lunch and dinner on that day without going to the parks. At the Dolphin? One of the other resorts nearby?

I'd love not to spend an outrageous amount at either meal. I'd love your thoughts and suggestions!

There's a number of good restaurants in the Boardwalk area. Having said that...Being that you're trying not to overspend, I'd eat one meal at Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club. It's a short walk from the Dolphin. The No Way Jose sundae is "the best".

Try the fountain, it is the Dolphin's B&C style restaurant. We really like this place, nice BLT, good burger very good ice cream! :thumbsup2

I too was thinking Shula's til I reread the OP's statement about not spending an outrageous amount of money. Shula's is a pretty pricy place.

Yep -- I agree with a previous poster. Go to The Fountain at the Dolphin. Good burgers, onion rings and shakes. Reasonable prices. Nice service. Cute atmosphere.

Avoid the Blue Zoo at all costs: pricey, pretentious and poor service. My shrimp appetizer was too salty to eat.

We had superb risotto at Il Mulino - pricey place but the dinner specials were affordable. The wine is grossly marked up.

Cheers

The Fountain is yummy. And we actually enjoy Picabu...down the hallway from The Fountain a bit. It's cafeteria style, but the food has always been very good, and the atmosphere is nice as well.

Beaches & Cream ..

will Cat Cora's restaurant be open before your trip?

and while it certainly isn't fine dining, there isn't anything more fun that having a snack supper and people watching at the Boardwalk!

ITA. For a 'not expensive' single meal, I would say either of these.

Oh man you have got to eat at BlueZoo...it is incredible! We ate there last month and fell in love with it!

Flying Fish is also excellent!

If you want a nice burger go to Beaches and Cream

Cape May is great too!

we also love to hit the ESPN club, either a full meal or great burgers and appetizers...nice stroll from the the Dolphin too!
