I should probably read more than you 50 word blurb before I go and spout off about web technologies, eh? I work at a museum that is trying to harness the 2.0, but just fails every once in awhile, so I've become way too sensitive to the issues that get argued at least twice a month in two hour meetings!

It is an awesome topic, though, and I hope you get the chance to speak!

No problem, Sarah! I suppose I was asking for trouble when I used a controversial buzzword like Web 2.0 (since folks who know a lot more than me [which is not all that difficult] disagree about what it means). And really, who could talk about all of Web 2.0 in 5 minutes?!?! I think a lot of businesses are struggling with how to tap into social media (in particular) -- we find the same thing in our business.

But -- to get back to marathoning -- I have really enjoyed watching all the ignite Seattle/ignite NYC/ignite Baltimore etc videos on You Tube -- and I hope what I have to say will be entertaining and will encourage others like me to get online, get inspired and informed, and get involved in a great sport with a wonderful group of people.

The "show" is scheduled for Wednesday August 5th at the Lincoln Theater in Raleigh. Entry is free, but you have to sign up in advance for your admission tickets. All the scoop on entry is here:

The theater only holds 400 and they are already past 300 attendees, so don't delay!
