9/12 great article ! Who am I to say no to going to WDW?

I can't believe how late you stayed up last night! Loving all the hints you gave and now I am even more excited to hear all about your trip!

It was incredibly hot when we were there, and I think it was much hotter than it normally is this time of year. There were a couple of times that we were just absolutely miserable from the heat.

That's what Floridians are saying. The guys on the DIS podcast said it has just been miserable. It's been brutal up here, too, though. I think it's supposed to be 96 today.

I'm glad you guys all survived and hopefully had a great time in spite of the heat!

Ty was fine in the room's pack-n-play when he was 5 months but wanted nothing to do with it at 10 months!! I requested a crib for next week's stay. It was a "duh" moment b/c I completely forgot I could do that when we went in Dec!! Hope it all worked out for you!! :goodvibes

Glad you all had a safe trip home - even though I know the going home trip is not nearly as fun as the going down trip!

Can't wait to hear about your adventures! popcorn::

June 16 Headed to WDW!

It was easy to get up and finish the last few things before we pulled out in our minivan. We only had a stroller and 4 bags since we were not checking luggage. The rest was coming with my parents the next day. We had our bag ready to get on our suits and be at the Big Dig Site early afternoon.

My father in law jumped in and took us to the airport... which saved time and energy. We were supposed to depart at 11, but upon arriving at the airport... a twenty minute delay! Security was easy, I felt terrible about the large amounts of Luke food and formula I had brought with me, but I did not want to be without! They did take out every item but did not hassle me in regards to the Gerber Graduates, formula and snacks I had for him. In fact I took some juice boxes and water bottles through in Orlando on the way home to make the bottle making easier.

No worries, it actually allowed us to order some lunch and feed the kids some before we boarded. Luke and I sat on the single seat, the girls and DH on the other side. Pretty uneventful except for we were by the wing so it was louder--- hard for the girls to watch a movie and I had to change a poopy diaper on the plane-- yes they have changing tables! Hannah had some ear issues as we started to land. I did take Clorox wipes to wipe down everything... I did not want sick kids! Luke fell asleep in the aisle with a tad bit of a rock on my part, but he really did not make a peep... much better than the flight home:rolleyes1

We arrived about 1:20, visited the ladies room and walked straight down to board the ME buses. We did not have to check in at the counter since we had our paperwork (this was new to us). We walked straight onto a bus and got no more than seated and we were off! YEAH!

Our first stop was Pop Century... I thought of you all MeMom- less than one month! It was busy there and we dropped off a few, and I also changed another stinky diaper (Luke is not a man who likes dirty pants) and ran it the trash at our next stop, Carribean Beach!

Finally it was our stop, Coronado Springs! I had not done online checkin since I was praying that we would not change rooms, get the 8A building we wanted and have adjoining rooms with my parents. DH sent me and the girls colored.

I snapped one picture before I reached the CM...

The CM looked at my ID and pulled our reservation... and then said the magical words-
  • I think we have a special deal for you!

OH MY GOODNESS!

You can't leave us hanging like that!! Did you get upgraded? Did you get upgraded? :hyper::hyper::hyper:

I'm glad the flight went smoothly! Everyone looks so happy on ME!

I made DH change Ty's dirty diaper on the plane in Dec...he isn't a small guy either! I'm evil..I know. ;) He couldn't believe there was room for changing tables in there!

So do you just call down and tell you them that you need a crib or do you request ahead of time? We will have 17 month old with us in December. I know the pack-n-play will be a no go for her too.

Laura, great start, you all look so ready to begin a much anticipated trip! Loved the ME pictures.....
I hope you are planning another update SOON, we all want to know what they had in store for you!!!

Oh, no, you did not leave us hanging like that!!!!

I love how excited you all look, and I notice you are wearing your Mickey earrings for the occasion! :thumbsup2

Glad the flight went so smoothly!

It was incredibly hot when we were there, and I think it was much hotter than it normally is this time of year. There were a couple of times that we were just absolutely miserable from the heat.

We had horrid storms last night, lightening and rain... wild weather. Plus I was WAY behind on the DIS!

It was hot, way hotter than any trip I could remember. I figure it can't ever be hotter, and I plan to never take an infant again (or at least one that is mine)

I'm thinking AKV or BLT. I can't wait to hear all about your trip.

I know what you are saying about the Pack'n'Play. Last month when we went to Hershey, B. was not a fan. He was also not a fan of sleeping past 5 am or taking afternoon naps. Good thing we were having fun or all of us would have been bears.

Luke had the best nap a long one in his crib this morning. I am sure he is so happy to be free again!

Welcome back!!! Waiting for all of the news with everyone else...I hope you're surviving the "getting home" work load!

I am down to probably two loads of laundry. Two laundry baskets of junk... and other misc stuff!

I think it's BLT....I'm dying here. I really hope we get to know SOON. :rolleyes1

Our tour was not until Wednesday (yes three days ago).... so I could let you all wait....

That's my guess as well! I am hoping the tour was on one of the first days!

Nope.... late late in the trip, maybe I will just wait until I get there:rotfl2:

Your baby will come first probably!

At first my thoughts went immediately to AKV then started drifting over to BLT or even some houses in trees.............

I have a friend trying out the treehouses next late May/June. A good deal for the size!

Oh, I forgot about the treehouses -- I have been focusing on AKV and BLT -- I wonder when she will tell us...:rolleyes1

I would say in the next few days... I am not good at secrets!

That's what Floridians are saying. The guys on the DIS podcast said it has just been miserable. It's been brutal up here, too, though. I think it's supposed to be 96 today.

If we had been anywhere but Disney I would have hated it, but how can you not be happy at Disney. We did have a clip on fan for Luke in the stroller. It helped, does Jill have one for Bella?

I am thinking BLT....

Maybe.... there is a divide among DH and I.

Ty was fine in the room's pack-n-play when he was 5 months but wanted nothing to do with it at 10 months!! I requested a crib for next week's stay. It was a "duh" moment b/c I completely forgot I could do that when we went in Dec!! Hope it all worked out for you!! :goodvibes

Crib... do tell, never heard you could get that?

Glad you all had a safe trip home - even though I know the going home trip is not nearly as fun as the going down trip!

We had some great times and memories!

I did update.. long nap for baby, happy playing girls!

glad the flight went smoothly---
you guys sure looked happy on DME:goodvibes

I love ME, watching the video just gets me happy!

Photobucket will have to cooperate. I will reveal soon, probably without an update if you all can figure it out via a picture!

It was truly a magical moment when he said that to me... lump in throat excitment!

I made DH change Ty's dirty diaper on the plane in Dec...he isn't a small guy either! I'm evil..I know. ;) He couldn't believe there was room for changing tables in there!

I never want to do that again....how do you do it with a big kid?

So do you just call down and tell you them that you need a crib or do you request ahead of time? We will have 17 month old with us in December. I know the pack-n-play will be a no go for her too.

I want to know too!

Soon!

Glad the flight went so smoothly!

I wore them all week, no bringing other ones. I still have them in!

ooohhhh... how exciting!! Can't wait to hear what it was!! :woohoo:

Kathy

I thought of you when I wrote it... cliffhanger and all. (actually while it was happening I thought it would be a great moment for stopping the report)

Laura,

I just got caught up again, and then u leave me hanging! :) was it at least better to be there in the heat not pregnant? can't wait to hear all about it!

So excited to hear about the potential upgrade.... and if I have to wait til the baby arrives - at least it gives me something to look forward to when I am as big as a whale!

So do you just call down and tell you them that you need a crib or do you request ahead of time? We will have 17 month old with us in December. I know the pack-n-play will be a no go for her too.

I actually called Disney to have them make a note of it on my reservation. I imagine it's a sure thing but then again could it be first come first serve :confused3
