After we left the toy store, we passed a little cart outside selling various items and, Corey came up to me and showed me the COOLEST antenna topper EVERRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
It was Cinderella's Coach!!! I had lost my Princess Crown and my Test Track Car this year, so I was on the lookout for a new one. So, I was very pleased!
Let me tell you, it isn't easy to pay for something at one of those carts. There was no one at the cash register when we went over there, so I went over to find the CM manning the booth. I didn't see anyone. Finally I spotted someone standing away from the cart and asked them if they worked there. She did, so I told her I wanted to buy the antenna topper. I had to wonder how much stuff gets stollen from these carts?? I would like to think that most people wouldn't do that, but they really make it easy for thieves!
After I finally payed, Corey took a picture of me and my treasure!!!
You may have noticed that this picture of me differs slightly from the same picture of me in the first post.
Let me explain (although I bet you already know what happened, don't you!)
I Gimped (free Photoshop) the first picture to cover up these scratches.
As I said before, Foxie is a skittish little kitten. He does NOT like it when we have people over to our house, so he goes and hides.
So, when my parents came to pick Foster and Foxie up before our trip, Foxie was hiding under the girl's bed.
He REALLY didn't want to come out!
I mean he REALLY REALLY didn't want to come out!
After I got him out and was carrying him to the living room, he went a bit nuts.
It would have been funny looking, his back twising and his paws thrashing this way and that, if he hadn't been scratching my arm up at the time!
And, while I'm talking about the cats, I'll throw this in here now. The day after Mom and Dad got the cats to their house, I was talking to my Mom on the phone and she told me that they hadn't seen Foxie since they brought him into the house. They were pretty sure that he had crawled underneath the service hole underneath their whirlpool tub and was hiding out under there. A few hours later, my Dad called and asked for ideas on getting Foxie out. I suggested putting tunafish out for him. Then I asked Dad if Mom had barked at Foxie again (she did that once when she was over, and I don't think Foxie has gotten over it yet).
I was joking and told him so.
Apparently though, what my Dad heard was,
"Bark at Foxie, because he likes that and it will make him come out."
Heather told me a few days later that she and Mom had caught him squatting down, barking into the hole!!
When they questioned him, he said that I told him to do it!
Needles to say, that did NOT work!
Actually, NOTHING worked! Poor Foxie stayed underneath the tub for the entire time we were gone, and then almost a week AFTER we got back! He would not come out for me. I'm still unclear on how they got him out, no one will go into much detail about that for some reason.
I was posotive that when he came back he would be scared out of his mind. But, when he came in, I picked him up and he put his little head into my arm and stayed there for a long time as we pet him.
The other day, he came up and curled next to me while I was sleeping on the couch. He now comes and sits in our lap voluntarily even!!!
And, just the other day, I gave him a bath and all he did was sit in the tub and howl. No scratching, no biting. And, he still came up to me later that day! Weird!
Anyway, that is the story of the picture!
After I rounded up the kids and Brian, Brian said he wanted to go into the Christmas store. For obvious reasons, this is not a place that I would ever chose to go into, but I followed along. Lydia decided it would be really funny to play inside of the fireplace.
There was a really cool glass light up castle in here, and I took a picture of Arminda by it, but I can't find it.
We left the Christmas store and the girls decided to play in the fountain.
They got SOAKED!!!!
But, they were having such a good time!
It was fun to watch them!
Brian went and retrieved them
Pretty wet
and we had to take this picture. Brian always has to have his picture taken here!
We then spotted the make your own hat place and went on inside.
The girls did this last year, but Lydia's ears had gotten broken, so I let her pick out a new pair this year. She picked out the same ones she had last time. I love that you can buy just new ears when they get broken instead of buying the whole hat!
Look at all the cool Mickey ears you can get!
Lydia did a bit of dancing
We went over and got our pictures taken with Tigger and Pooh.
The kids just love this little setup! So do I!
