If I don't get in, we're going to Disney.. PTR for 8/25/09! Now with Fact of the Day!

As I'm sure you're all bored of just seeing my face over and over, I figured I'd put up some pictures of Lou's family too, when we met up that one day in 2007. His family is very different than mine, but we get along.

As you can see, he is ecstatic about Winnie the Pooh...
could have something to do with the people we had behind us on the ride though...

They seem to have enjoyed it...

And here they are at Downtown Disney.

Oh! I forgot. I don't think I mentioned this. For the Fantasmic! day, instead of eating lunch and then two hours later eating "dinner" we're just going to have breakfast in the room, maybe get a snack in the park, and then stuff ourselves at the Hollywood & Vine buffet. After Fantasmic! is over, we'll go to Downtown Disney, to the Earl of Sandwich, and get dinner. (And then maybe visit Goofy's Candy Co.) After that, we can stroll around, hopefully not buy anything (or too much), and then head back. This might be a good time to walk (or take the boat if it's there) from DHS to the Yacht Club to pick up the Downtown Disney bus.

I love how everything is falling into place now! Less than ninety days away - the next big thing is getting my Disney mail, since I already paid the trip off. :woohoo:

Unless there's something I'm missing. Is there another thing that happens before Disney mail? I don't think so, but I don't know, since I haven't planned a trip before.

You will most likely not get your Mickey mial till about 4 weeks before the trip. I don;t think anything else major comes.

Okies! Thank you Jen. :)

I see that my PTR has gotten over 700 views... :woohoo:

I'm really not sure what to talk about for the next 8 weeks.. (I figured I'd post something about our anniversary, and how much we loved UP, if you guys want that? Anyone directly opposed to it?)

Oh! A question for people then - what do you do in lines while you're waiting? Especially those of you with little kids, because I feel like that might be my experience as well. I'm so mean to poor Lou.

We're both going to have those nylon sports bags with us, so we can bring small things if we need to, paper, pens, etc. I just don't know any fun games that we could do while in line. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. :flower:

Well, personally I am married to a little kid who does need to be entertained constantly. ;) Classic line from DH from our last trip, as I was packing the backpack to bring with us for the day. "Make sure you bring my gameboy, my ipod, and my Rubick's cube," to which I replied, "Right. Because there is absolutely nothing to entertain you in the Magic Kingdom." But he was right - he needed something to occupy him in line. He also had his cell phone which has games on it, so between that and the Gameboy, he was fine. (The Rubick's Cube never did get pulled out though.) I brought my little notebook that I took notes in throughout the trip, and that and people-watching (and taking whatever pictures I could take from line) kept me busy when he was in his game world. I realize that doesn't answer your question of fun things to do together, but with over a week of togetherness, sometimes each being in your own little world for those short breaks is a good thing.

I just found your PTR and it looks like I will be at Pop for some of the same days as you.

Woo! That's very exciting, I see you got free dining!
And I see you're going on the Wonder, lucky you. I reallyyyy want to do a Disney cruise, or even any cruise at all. I have a feeling I would sweep at "Who Wants to be a Mousekeeter?"

Saw you on Christine's page...we're all going to be there at the same time. That's cool. If you see us around say Hi! :goodvibes

So is Everything going well with your job so far? I'm assuming it is as you haven't mentioned it anymore. Did you ever find out the actual reason the other girl was Laid Off?

I'll be on later I have to go buy some Bunny food for my DD's Bunny!

Great Pics! and DBF Lou looks so thrilled in the pose with the tigger hat! :rotfl:

Oh, will do! I've been slowly trying to get thru your PTR... been lurking for a while. I would love to see people at the parks so that we can all say hi and "know" each other, and Lou will be like "Huh? Who are these people? Oh. These are your DIS friends, I see." :lmao:

Everything is going well with my job, in that when I talked to the woman I work with, she said that since I have two nights that I work year-round, they'd need someone to fill those if I was laid off, so I'm good. That made me feel a lot better. Sorry I didn't say anything, I sort of left you all hanging... whoops!

But I never did find out why my friend was laid off... and I feel bad asking.. so that will remain a mystery.

Now it's off to prepare for my brother's birthday party! It's a nice day out, so I have to go clean the porch off and then walk the dog (he's getting cabin fever).

OMG the PTR is such a bore. I haven't updated it in quite some time. The TR is a lot more fun. I'm getting ready to start our May TR too. Hopefully today sometime. :goodvibes Me & the girls will probably be together most of the time. I think we're all gonna be BFF's when we meet up. :lmao: I can't wait!

Well you know we are all staying at the same place we could actually try to arrange to meet up if that is cool with everyone! Disneyquilter is the only one at a different resort at this point! It would actually be cool! Danica are you in a standard room or preferred? and did you request a specific section? Just curious to see where we all requested! ;) or we could meet at Beaches and creme and get some of those fabulous looking Kitchen sinks (just an idea! lol! I'm going to need to loose like ahundred pounds before this trip so that I can make up for what i eat at Disney! LMAO!)or OMG! I forget what the peanut butter one is! ONETREEHILLADDICT help me out girl! Lol!

We're just doing standard, and we didn't request anything, but might be looking at the 50s (only because I bought bowling pin scrapbook stickers) :lmao: A meet up would be great! You all know what parks I'll be at (in excruciating detail, down to the minute... :rotfl:) Oh gosh, is everyone going to be there on Saturday the 29th? We could all (this is, of course, if Lou gets in) go watch the finale of AIE, and then if he wins, go celebrate at Beaches & Creme.... and even if he doesn't.... go celebrate at Beaches & Creme. Haha.

Or we could do something else. That was just my self-centered idea.

ETA: I just realized Disneyquilter will be at GardenGrill at 7pm on Saturday... but if she wants to.. she can walk/take the boat from Epcot to meet us at Beaches & Creme afterwards... you're OOP for POP that night, right? And OneTreeHillAddict, I can't sift through your 69 pages of PTR to find your ADRS!!!!

That works for me I can even eat wherever that night no big thing! Let's see what the DISNEYQUILTER and ONETREEHILLADDICT think. It works for me:goodvibes

So, as you all (I think) know, today was Lou & my 2-year anniversary, and it was loads of fun!

I gave him the shirts and card, which he loved.
100_0058.jpg
He decided to wear the Jack Shirt today, which fit, which I was glad about.

We then had a breakfast of PopTarts & waffles, and after that, headed into Boston to see Up in 3D. Lou had passes from Christmas that he wanted to use, until we saw online that it didn't take passes. I was sure it was a different type of pass though, but he didn't think so. We brought them anyway, and guess what? I was right! :lmao: I knew it. He was very surprised:

It was amazing, and we both loved it in 3D (it only ended up costing us 6$, because of a surcharge for 3D movies, which is 1/4 of what it would have cost us).

This is what we thought of it:
100_0069.jpg

:thumbsup2

After that, we headed back to his house (we walked from the train station, because it was a gorgeous day...and then it started raining), he played me the song he wrote (which was very nice, so he's sending me a copy of the lyrics as soon as my email stops being down).

Then we went to the Texas Roadhouse!!! This is where my camera died... so I don't have photos of the food, but it was great! We were both stuffed afterwards. So we played some Mario Party and then I went home, to find out that my parents had booked a cruise for next August, 2010, for their 25th anniversary! :woohoo:

We're staying at POR for 7 days, and then YC for 4, and then going on the Wonder for 4! I'm sooo excited! Except I had to break it to my mom that she needed to call about POR, because the woman on the phone said we could stay on the Mansion side, but I know that only the Bayou has 5 person rooms, and we have 5 people in our family. My mom didn't believe me, but I knowwwww.

:worship: the almighty DISboards where I learned that...

I'm pumped! It will be so fun. Now I'm going to go read Navigators from past cruises to learn about what we can do on the ship.

That is so cool about the long trip/cruise! Well like I said on the other thread! I almost had my sis talked into Disney until we found the awesome rates at Carnival! :) We are going on a 4 day cruise to the bahamas in June 2010! Then the family don't know yet so I have to type quick before my nosey 10yr old comes and looks over my shoulder! He's the only one I have to watch out for when I'm on DIS he's to interested! :rotfl:I didn't even tell DH yet! ;)But I rented points from a DVC member on the DVc rent/trade board and we are going back to Disney and staying at AKV in Kidani Village from 11/30-12/4/09! :woohoo:It's going to be their early christmas gift! SHHH!!!!! I don't know when I'm going to tell them maybe before we leave! I'll have to tell DH soon so he can get it off! :sad2:ruins the surpise! But we are going to drive this time so we can do universal also!! I'm excited! :cool1:

Oh, I totally forgot about AK evening hours on Saturday! Do we want to do Beaches & Creme and AK? Or just AK/B&C? Or do we all want to trade cell phone numbers when it gets closer, and then depending on what happens with Lou and Disneyquilter (since she has a 7:05 ADR) determine from there?
