Yay for the new bag! Hope it works for you. :thumbsup2

About the shoes and heel pain...

My first trip to Disney I wore my crocs the entire time. When I returned home I began having a lot of pain in my heels. When I would wake up in the morning, I could barely walk. I did some research online and am pretty sure I had plantar fascitis. I went to a New Balance store and talked to one of the sales people and told her my problems. She suggested a sneaker they carried and a gel insert for extra support for my heels. It took many months, but the pain finally went away.

Are you flat footed? That's part of my problem. I still wore my cleo crocs on this trip some of the time, but I also wore my new balance sneakers on days I'd be doing a lot of walking. (On my first trip when I started having all of the pain, I was wearing my Disney crocs - can't remember the name, but the basic croc.)

WOW....11 days, for some reason that sounds SO much closer to me than 12...call me crazy, I know, but it does!!!!:cool1: Are you packed? Do you have all your outfits packed? Is Mom ready? How about Jen? Sorry for the 10 questions......you're on countdown girlfriend!!:cheer2:
It does! I totally get what you are saying.

I am not fully packed yet. I am debating about bringing a third bag. I can get everything into my big suitcase and my carryon but I am worried about not having enough room on the way home because I never pack as well on the way back plus I will have more to pack....

I have most of my outfits picked out.

Mom is not packed. She is actually going away the weekend before she leaves so she is stressing out a bit about getting everything done.

Last I heard, Jen is indeed packed!

I was thinking something more like a TR title. Like...The Disney Adventures of Bag Lady.

Maybe while you are there you should ask Mary Poppins where she got her bag, that's the one you need!

Oooh, Katie! I have been trying to come up with a TR title and now I have something new to explore. :rolleyes1

I always pack an extra bag in my suitcase for things to bring home. I have one that rolls up niceley and snaps together and then rolls out to a pretty large bag. That way I dont have to pay for the extra luggage going, but if I need it coming back I have it. Not sure where I got the one that rolls up like that for storage, I have had it for years.

Great DHS pictures!!!

I really love the latest bag you bought. Wow, after this trip you're never going to have to buy another bag in your life!:rotfl: But seriously, great choice!:thumbsup2

You'll be in the single digits soon!!!:dance3::dance3:

I especially love the streets of Hollywood at night with all the lights. There's just something very cool about that atmosphere.

A cup of mint chocolate chip ice cream, a warm summer night, those beautiful lights, fifteen thousand people waiting in line for Fantasmic.....aaaah, that's the life!

:lmao::confused::lmao:

We really should start a Disney Essentials company! :thumbsup2

We totally should. Let's see... what could we offer? Trip binders, ADR planning worksheets, personalized touring plans, custom t-shirts (not just the DISign but the whole shirt), the perfect park bag, park shoes, a "hotline" to call when having a Disney freak-out.... what else??

Love the DHS glamour. Can't wait! 11 days!!! :yay::dance3::yay:

Maybe I am flat footed, I am not sure if I am or not. Not sure about the flat footed criteria. I'm still going to bring me Crocs and rotate if needed.

Nice pics of DHS!
Thanks!

I think I solved the extra bag issue. We bought a disney rolling bag last trip since....we bought too many souvenirs. I can check two pieces of luggage on Southwest so I will check my two suitcases and then carry on the Disney bag and hopefully the new bag from Zappos.

Great DHS pictures!!!

I hope it works. I really hope it works. PLEASE LET IT WORK. :worship: :lmao:

Sigh. I can't wait to be a part of that Hollywood glamour again!!!
Me too! I know you'd appreciate the Hollywood Glamour.

I didn't enjoy the lights at night since they were BLASTING that music when we were there. Hopefully it will be quieter this time. :thumbsup2

I'll be in that line in a few weeks.........
:lmao::confused::lmao:
I haven't decided if I am going to brave the Fantasmic crowds...I am thinking not.

We totally should. Let's see... what could we offer? Trip binders, ADR planning worksheets, personalized touring plans, custom t-shirts (not just the DISign but the whole shirt), the perfect park bag, park shoes, a "hotline" to call when having a Disney freak-out.... what else??

Absolutely! We need to start our company...we need a name now!

Thats great-I think she has you there LL. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Yep...she does.

I am starting to get into that OMG I ONLY HAVE 11 MORE DAYS TO GET READY FOR DISNEY! :scared1::scared1::scared1:

The good news....
*My bag from Zappos is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow.
*I solved my suitcase issue. I'm bringing that Disney bag we bought at the World of Disney as my carry on. I will check my two purple suitcases.
*I received an order of clothes today. I now have a new hoodie to wear on the plane down, a new bra, yes you still need support in Disney! :lmao: A new tshirt and a new pair of "yoga pants." I love how the name of leggings have changed to "yoga pants", I guess that makes them more fashionable. I took a picture of myself in the yoga pants and new tee and sent to Mom to make sure it had her fashion approval. She gave it two thumbs up!
*I ordered a pair of Teva Mush Flip Flops.

The bad news....
*I am spending way too much money. :rotfl: Shhh, don't tell Marc.

Last Minute Questions

1. Where can I get a pina colava?

2. Where is the Dawa Bar in Animal Kingdom?

3. Where is the Adventureland Veranda? I want to meet Raffiki.

I found an awesome Character Finder website in my travels. Check it out!
Character Finder Utility.

4. Where are my Mickey Earrings from Kohl's? Seriously. I STILL can't find them. I never even got to wear them! :headache:

5. What is the exact dress code for California Grill? Could I get away with wearing my jean capris with a nice top or do I need to go nicer? How nice? This is just an iffy situation but I want to be prepared. I do have a longer black skirt that I could wear....but if I wore my Mary Jane crocs, would that be okay?

I have a cute story too. I asked Marc is he was getting excited for his week without me. He says to me, "You know how your Mom is hiding her excitement?" I gasp and say, "You are excited for me to leave!?!" He laughs and says, "No I am hiding my sadness that you are going to Disney without me."
Awww. He's really a Disney Lover now. :lovestruc Then I told him we could maybe go in December if he wanted to put off the Flat Screen TV for a bit.....:rolleyes1

Ah, that is such a sweet story about Marc! You will have to send him photos from your phone occasionally!

Okay, answers to your questions:

1. The Pina Colavas are a standard drink on all bar menus -- you should be able to find it quite easily including your resort.

2. The Dawa Bar is right in front of Tusker House where all those tables are set up under the hanging roof.

3. Adventureland Veranda is that little covered area on the right just as you cross the bridge into Adventureland.

4. Check any small toiletry bags you might have stashed jewelry in. ;)

5. I would think jean capris with a nice shirt would be okay.

Awww... Marc is hiding his sadness! And :woohoo: if it brings a Dec trip! I am hanging my head in shame that I cannot answer any but one of your questions!

I think jean capris and a nice shirt are perfectly fine for Cali Grill! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 I selfishly hope that you are in the mood for it and go there. But no pressure. :flower3:

Thank you for asking about Dawa bar b/c I was going to ask the same question. Hello, Yak Attack! ;)

Thanks for the character finder tool - that sounds neat.

Oh and I ordered Teva Mush flip flops too. On top of the new Clarks flip flops I already ordered. :rolleyes1

Oh and :rotfl: on yoga pants vs. leggings. Yes, yoga pants much more fashionable. Glad you got the thumbs up! :goodvibes

I don't have a camera phone, he'll have to wait until I get home.

I am so thankful that you think jean capris will be okay. :rotfl: I like jeans, they make me happy.

Thanks for the other answers. I am so ready to try a Pina Colava. My cubicle mate and I drooled over the Drink Thread today. I was so thirsty all day. ;)

He is hiding his sadness, he really wants to go I can tell BUT he wants a tv so there you go. :lmao:

Right now, I am feeling Cali Grill but who knows how I will feel when I get there.

The character tool is really neat! I love it. And there have been some recent sightings of the less popular characters so that makes me REALLY happy.

Am I right about the yoga/leggings debate though? They are the same thing! :lmao:

Yeah, that drinks thread always gives me a powerful thirst, too!

I am so ready to go on our trip that just answering all your questions made me excited. :lmao:

I totally understand that excitement! I'm sure I will have more questions for you. :lmao:

Do your yoga pants have flair legs? The leggings that I have on now do not....
They do not. They are capri length but are advertised as Yoga Pants. I don't get fashion...at all.

Oh...I forgot to tell all of you that Vera Bradley has the Cargo Sling on sale for $25. That was Rejected Park Bag #372, it has become #1 Work Bag though.

You have been enabled. ;)

CP truly is a Disney expert!

I like the name "Teva Mush". "Where are my Mushies?" It's kinda cute.

What did Marc say about holding off on the TV? :rolleyes1
