Flirting our Way through WDW 1 person at a time(New -2)Final Chapter

I am loving your report! I've read your others but never commented. I have a question for you - on your first day of resort exploring where did you take the picture in the silver "mouse ears"? I love that - I think it was the contemporary but couldn't tell for sure. I'm only about halfway through your report but can't wait to finish!

P.S. Parker is adorable - just in case you didn't know that!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: You go man!!! I had to tell my DH about that one because I knew that he would appreciate it! He is not one to hold back. He has held a spot many a time for the parade and had to speak up several times for people to back off. Sorry about the leg thing. I'm glad you didn't get hurt, but I have to say that it was hard for me not to giggle thinking about you falling backward. (I know, I'm a big meany ;) ) I really am glad that you didn't get hurt or that you weren't holding Parker.
I still can't get over how smiley Parker is!

That would have made me mad too! I am sure everyone around you was glad that you spoke up.:thumbsup2 I loved seeing Parker on the bus. He is so funny!:)

Your Fl trip sounds fun. My mom and dad went to Key West in Sept on a cruise and they loved it. There was a shell store there they really liked (nice Christmas ornaments and jewelry). They said it was cheap too. :goodvibes
we are so looking forward to it especially since the winter is almost over and we want summer weather.

Good for you standing up to them and saying what everybody else was thinking!
sometimes you just cant hold it anymore and have to say something. I was very glad i did.

 Good for you Dan!!! I would've been right there cheering for you!! How CRAZY!!!

Even crazier... your legs falling asleep and you falling down.. hope you didn't get hurt.

I must say, Parker has the most BEAUTIFUL eyes EVER!!! WOW!!!:lovestruc

Good stuff as always....
I can see all of you from the DIS around me cheering me on "go fauntleroy, fo fauntleroy."
haha
when you see them in person they are carribean ocean blue for sure.
i did not get hurt when i feel, just had to wait to get feeling back for a while. i am just glad i was not holding parker still.

Good for you! You handled the situation perfectly and well the report of it is great! Love the CSR night pics! Parker is so cute!
thanks, i am glad i took good notes eachnight so i could remember the dialoge but that situation i still remember it without notes.

the Brazilian Throwdown was hysterical! Some of those tour groups are so obnoxious, I am glad you stood up to them LOL. I also love the story about Parker and Ariel's clam shells!

We are going this December around the dates you were there, were the parks really crowded? I didn't read all the posts from other people, I just read your posts.
thanks, glad to entertain you.

we did not seem to have bad crowds, the first few days were a little busy since they hadjust gotten done filming the christmas day parade tellacast, but other than that we had a great time and felt the crowds were low.

Great update! And awesome that you stood your ground on the parade route :thumbsup2 We've had several parade experiences ruined by people trying to trample us just as the parade is starting. SO frustrating...
now you will have the courage to tell themto back off
:goodvibes

Great Story!!!

I am glad you gave it to them and gave it good

I am so sick and tired of them always saying No speak English and then 2 mins later you hear them chatting with each other in plain english :headache:

How cute parker tried to crawl after Mickey :goodvibes

Great update:thumbsup2
that was a great memory candi was almost crying when he was trying to get to the floats she loved it.

You go Dan!! Great job on standing your ground for the parade! I've done that at Disneyland a couple of times :sad2:. Its a shame that kind of thing has to be done.

So how does it feel to get old!:rotfl: Cause baby, that's what happens!
Your body just locks up and its all over!:lmao: You just seem to have trouble with balance on Main Street. :lmao:

Parker sure does love the visuals. It can be over-stimulation for a lot of kids,
but your little guy seems to crave it.
yep i am getting old and doing sports for 9 years from school to college has not helped the body any.

i like the balance on main street comment.

he loves noises and things that are moving he will play with anything that he can hit and make a loud noise.

Great story! I too get fed up with ignorance, you handled it really well!
thank you very much.
:thumbsup2
Did you see the matching fanny packs?:rotfl2:

Dan, I'm glad you put that girl in her place! I get really tired of people doing that kind of thing. Like you said, you didn't wait 1 1/2 hrs in that spot so someone else could use it.:headache: So sorry you fell down - I was laughing, cuz I could see myself doing something like that. I'm glad you were okay.
yeah right you were laughing at me falling it is okay, i laugh at it now too after the fact and glad i did not fall ontoa little kid behind me, but to bad that one of those brazilians was not behind me to fall onto.
:lmao:

wow.....good job on the smack down! :thumbsup2 i truly believe in sticking up for yourself when needed and not letting people walk all over you. ray hates it when i run my mouth but i've learned with age that sometimes it's necessary....not always but sometimes. and even if those girls could not speak english, common courtesy is a universal thing, i think. i can't stand it when people try to squeeze in 15 minutes before a show! i think i'm going to start carrying a big poster with me that says, "I GOT HERE BEFORE YOU AND HAVE BEEN PATIENTLY WAITING TO ENJOY THIS SHOW. PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO SQUEEZE IN FRONT OF ME. THANK YOU AND HAVE A NICE DAY." :rotfl:

the video of parker at spectro is so cute! ouch about your ankles!!!! that's crazy. i was squatting the whole time the first time i saw spectro because i was sitting in the planter next to the gallows on liberty square and wanted to film above the heads of the people who were sitting on that wall, but didn't want to block the view of the people behind me (again....common courtesy!). my legs hurt SO BAD when i stood up but i didn't fall. glad you didn't hit anyone!

and parker....WHAT A FLIRT!!!!
i am liking your sign, it could be on one of htose flags that the brazilain tour groups walk around with.
i hate that feeling of things falling asleep...it happens to me all the time, i think i can sit indian style for an hour and be fine.
:sad2:

:welcome:
yep it is on the back side of the contemporary, just walk out the ground floor to the boat dock and you will see it on your left, there is a table to set your acamera on for self timer.

:rotfl2:You go man!!! I had to tell my DH about that one because I knew that he would appreciate it! He is not one to hold back. glad he enjoyed it.
that is okay to laugh at me, i laugh at myself all the time.

What cute videos! I especially loved the one of parker mesmorized by Spectro :lmao: I'm glad you stood up to the girls - we had more than a few problems with the tour groups in 2005, but luckily we haven't run into them since. And sorry about your ankles and Candi's eyes, I hope everyone felt good the next day!

i take it you want an update huh.

Chapter 26. The Unchapter Chapter.

Stupid title i know, but i like it for some reason.

Every have those disney days where you just go ahhhhh, this is nice and relaxing, well the first 2 hours started out that way today.

We slept in till about 7:00 and hung out in the room playing and watching tv and eating some snacks.

Parker played with the balloon i got a few nights earlier from our hotel lobby.
DSC07453.jpg

Then he watched some disney cartoons.
DSC07450.jpg

While hanging in the room, we heard a knock on the door, and this was given to me.

The other side

While in the main building last night, candi had told the manager that we had said hi and talked with each night that we were there for my birthday and asked if they could do something, so they brough the donald photo and the balloons, it was very sweet of my lovely wife.

Well the relaxing day was still going on and we were headed to DTD to hang out for a little bit for the morning and to try and find some things that we had been looking for during the week. As soon as we stepped off hte bus to DTD it started to sprinkle....relaxing day just went adious out the window.

We did not find what we were looking for in the shops, and were at the other end of the DTD area by the lego land. And it was about 10:00 and a CM told us that the bus stop for pleasure island was closer so we walked over there in the rain to get on a bus...stupid mistake for the day.

VERY STUPID MISTAKE FOR THE DAY sorry i had to repeat it again.

Well the bus stop for our resort did not have a covering so we stood in the one next to it. and just watched for a bus to CSR...well one did not come, the thing that really P. I. double S. E.D me off, was that half of the busses that came into the bus area did not have a destination on them, they were blank and would circle around the lot and leave. Well the little 20 minute thing wasnot happening it was already 40 minutes, and parker was crying and wanted to eat but we did not bring anything for him since we were only going to be there for a little bit...so candi just held him in the shelter why i went out to the buses that did stop for other places and kept getting the same thing from the drivers, one is on its way they come every 20 minutes...i said well that is funny since i have been here for 45 minutes now and no bus has come.

finally at the 50 mark, one pulled in and we got on. That was rediculous i know that some of those un marked busses were for the CSR and they just circled hte lot and left without stopping.

So with the relaxation part of hte morning ruined, we went back to the room so candi could nurse parker and let him take his nap.

I went to the pool bar adn got us some lunch our Chicken ceaser wrap that we loved so much from there, we just shared since they were huge.

I came back and we ate and played uno while the little man slept, our relaxation time was restored and we were having fun again.

Coming up next parker wakes up and we go from a party of 3 to a party of 4.

See the unchapter, it was pretty week, so it did not deserve a title.

hope you guys still enjoyed it some.

Bummer about the bus thing. That is one thing about Disneyland being so small in how it is set up. No real transportation issues. But it sounds like all ended well.:goodvibes

We've waited at those stops before and from what I remember, we waited a long time too! I can't wait to be at POR so we can take the ferry. I LOVE the ferry. It just gives me another option for travel to DTD. So sorry that you had to wait that long. I'm curious to find out about how you gained another body on your trip! :confused3

We slept in till about 7:00

i just find this so funny because "sleeping in" for us on vacation is, oh, about 10:00. 7:00 is EARLY. our normal getting up time is between 8:00-9:00. of course, we haven't been blessed with a little one who wakes up with the sun!

sorry about the bus trouble at DTD. it seems like buses are always a pain there!

We had bus trouble one night coming back from MK. We waited forever for a POR bus. We finally saw a bus pull up for POFQ and we jumped on it. I didn't even mind the walk over from french quarter after waiting for so long. The surprise was very nice. It is cool that they had a Donald card.:goodvibes

yes i know, i have noticed that the service for busses seems to be going down some, i think they are taking buses off a little at a time to save money.

i love the ferry as well, i have ridden it only once, and sadly we did not get to it this time, but next trip for sure...you will just have to wait and find out about the extra addition to the trip.:goodvibes

we we are used to getting up any time after 6:00 normally so 7 is our sleep in ahhhhh oh so nice..even if we really try, when parker stays with my parents or something, we cant sleep any later than 8 even if we try.

my dad is up at 5 every day, from getting up at 430 every morning for work, so his sleep in is pushing 530-6:laughing:

it is fun to go on vacation with him, cause he gets up to make coffee then.

yeah i loved it, i wonder what other ones they have, we got a cinderella prince charming on on our honeymoon.

they are so cool to get.

The Unchapter was still a lot of fun to read! Sounds like a relaxing morning, except for the whole bus mess. It must have been so frustrating! That's one thing I love about driving down there, we always ahve our car so we don't have to deal with the buses!

any kind of update is good :thumbsup2

Relaxing days are nice

I love playing uno

That was sweet of your wife to mention your bday :lovestruc

Bummer on the buses

Of course we enjoyed your "unchapter":thumbsup2 Too bad about the bus - really hard to depend on sometimes. I'm glad you got the fun back!:goodvibes

thanks

i always see your posting time and think geeze after midnight and still DISing, but that is what 3 hour time difference there so not as late.

do you have to pay for parking if you stay on property and drive to the parks?

Nope, they give you a parking pass. We don't stay onsite though. We usually stay for a few weeks at a time and rent a condo offsite. Sometimes we pay to park, and sometimes we park at the "free parking" resorts (like the Grand Floridian and Boardwalk where you don't get a parking pass) and walk over to the parks.

i see i see, dont think my dad would drive though, he is very possessive of his truck that he uses to pull his camper.

so we will still prob use the transporation.

It may be unreliable but I'm sure it's nice not having to deal with driving the whole time!
