Dreaming of Disney Food....

So I'm on lunch at work, wishing I was eating WDW food...

I could so go for Liberty Tree Tavern's Pilgrim's Feast right now! And the Tavern Fried Cheese...Mmmm....and for dessert? A dole whip!!

At least I have some pineapple for a snack...that will have to do until MAY!

Yes...MAY! I still can't believe I'm going to WDW in 87 days! :woohoo:

The best part is that my DFriend Alice is letting me totally take control! All she wants is the necessary details (flight #, budget, resort phone # etc.) She doesn't even want to see pictures! Of course she has seen many of my disney pics in the past but now that she is going she wants it to be as much of a surprise as possible :cloud9:

I'm pretty sure about the ADRs I've posted...I don't *think* I'll be making any changes.

However, there are things I want her to try! (Or if she doesn't...things I MUST have on vacation hehe)

- Dole whip!
- French Toast Loaf
- Popcorn from Main Street (it tastes better than anywhere on earth!)
- Make your own treat @ Goofy's
- Mickey Waffle
- School Bread (I've never tried this! :scared1: )
- Lapu Lapu
- Mickey Bar

I'd love to sneak Wolfgang Puck Express in there somewhere...but i love my 3 lunches....gah! The dilema is that I'm awful at planning short trips! I'm used to having 7-12 days :rolleyes1

Well that's all for now! Have a magical day

Subscribing...love your pictures! My mouth is watering!

I saw that you liked L'Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante...you might want to consider Tutto Italia for your September trip...we were just there and it was awesome!

Maybe I can entice the lurkers with some pics!

My favorite offering of the night from Ohana's chef. It was beef teriyaki on a lemongrass skewer with pineapple chutney and a sweet potato edamame potsticker

pictures are great as always ... but I think AP was stingy on their pours with the Grand Marnier flight. Unless you took the picture after a few tastings, in which case I will forgive them.

Seriously, we've had port flights where the glasses are at least halfway filled ... what gives? Did they use an eyedropper to fill those glasses? :rotfl:

LOL I think that sips had been taken. I had left the table for a moment and my parents ordered it and realized after they had started that they should take pics :lmao: I have them well trained ;)

How did I miss your reviews? I am SO in here!!! I LOVE your photos and cannot wait for you to actually go to WDW and do more reviews. I need to fill 17 days of free DDP in August/September, so any ideas are welcome! :goodvibes :cloud9:

Aww thanks so much! I loved your reviews too!

I did 18 days in Aug/Sept 2007 and ended up repeating places because I love some restaurants so much!

Some of my favorites are:
- Kona Cafe (lunch and dinner)
- Ohana
- Liberty Tree Tavern (lunch)
- Tokyo Dining
- Le Cellier
- Chefs de France
- California Grill
- Yachtsman Steakhouse
- Jiko

In 82 days you will get LIVE reviews of
- Ohana - D
- Main Street Bakery - B
- Liberty Tree Tavern - L
- Kona Cafe - D
- Kusafari Coffee Shop - B
- Flame Tree BBQ - L
- California Grill - D
- Sunshine Seasons - B
- Le Cellier - L
- Chefs de France - D
- Pepper Market - B
- and various Drinks & Snacks :thumbsup2

I can't wait. Your food pictures are great:)

You have me thinking about writing my own reviews when we go in may.

Thank you!

I started doing dining reviews back in 2005 and my family looked at me like I was insane as I'd yell at them not to eat so I could take a picture :rotfl:

Now, they all hold their plates up as soon as they are set down by the wait staff :lmao: I have them well trained.

Its so incredible that dining reviews have taken off like they have as without them a lot of yummy snacks, appetizers, entrees, desserts and most importantly, COCKTAILS! Would go unnoticed!

Your pictures are just gorgeous.....oops I just licked the screen

Fantastic pictures - your plans sound great and the ony problem I have is that we have to wait so long for the reviews. Here's hoping May comes round pretty soon :)

Shhh...I'm supposed to be writing a New Release for work but I'm actually here :lmao:

Thank you so much :) I have a ton more pictures where those came from so I'll keep posting and hope that it makes the wait a bit shorter :thumbsup2

It's only 81 days  Which is a LOT sooner than the 198 days I have left on my Sept 2009 countdown :cool2:

Now if only the booking window was still 190 days (*sigh* the new system is endlessly frustrating :scared: ) I must admit, I'm thankful that I am staying CL so that the Poly IPO can deal with my ADR hassels! :headache:

OMG your pictures are DROOLWORTHY! Keep 'em coming!!!

Since you seem to be a WDW Sushi Expert, where should DH and I grab sushi on the DxDP? We had all of our ressies worked out for September - but after looking at your sushi pics, we simply MUST add in a sushi restaurant!

So what is your suggestion? :goodvibes

:lmao: I do love sushi!

Hmm...I think that you can get sushi as an entree on the DxDP at California Grill. In my opinion the sushi at Cali Grill is among the best I've ever had!

The Shrimp Tempura Roll (an off menu item) is to die for! Simply as for it and Yoshie will make it. It is crispy tempura shrimp, sweet mango and watermelon, wrapped in rice paper and served with a ginger orange sauce. OMG I'm literally salivating right now at the thought of it.

A nice contrast to the Shrimp Tempura Roll (which is very light and sweet) is the Spicy Kazan Roll. This is tuna, crab and shrimp with tobiko (caviar, doesn't taste overly salty, more textural because it gives a nice pop) and a fireball sauce with bay scallops and tempura crunch. This is rich and spicy and my personal favorite!

I believe you can get sushi as an appetizer at the Kona Cafe (dinner only) as the Kona Island Sushi Bar operates nightly from 5 till 10 and you can order anything from their menu while at Kona.

I've never tried the sushi at Wolfgang Puck Cafe in DTd but I've read rave reviews of it :thumbsup2

Tokyo Dining has a seperate sushi menu and I have no idea how that works in relation to the DxDP :confused3 sorry!

As much as you seem to enjoy the fishies, you simply must visit Puck's Sushi Bar. I'm drooling just thinking about it ... :lovestruc
