When's my 7 month window??

With February having only 28 days, and wanting to make a ressie beginning 9/29, would our 7 month window begin 2/28? Or do we have to wait until 3/1?

See, we differ, I think it's the 28th. Maybe you have to ask for a supervisor, but there have been discussions of this before.

According to Caskbill, you are supposed to be able to call on Feb 28th but, at least in the past, the software MS uses does not allow them to do it. I would call on the 28th and try to book it and see what happens.

I called member services a couple of days ago to ask the same question. I was told 3/1.

It SHOULD be 2/28, but everytime we have tried to do that, we have had to call back on 3/1 as per MS's requirement.

I called today, the 27th and change a reservation for the 27th of September

Since we now book up to 7 nights from beginning of stay, I should think there would be no problems getting in on the 28th.

I'll call tomorrow (28th) and let you all know what the outcome is. Since we want BCV and it will be the start of F&W, I want to call as soon as I possibly can.

OK, just got off the phone with MS (couldn't believe I got right thru on a Sat at 9:00!), and the official answer is 3/1. The nice person I talked with didn't know, and had to ask a supervisor. She said it technically SHOULD be today (2/28), but their software won't allow anything past 9/28.
Glad they're open on Sundays now!!

I have to wait until tomorrow also, but we are calling for our 11 month window. We want to check in on 1/30/10. I wonder if tomorrow morning is going to be busy since people are going to be calling for several days worth of reservations. I hope not.

It's suppose to be 2/28. Here's a copy of the chart as printed in the DVC Member Guidelines, August 1999 which I received with my last purchase, in 1999.

The chart refers to Check-Out date, but of course everything has changed to Check-In date now.

Over the years I've emailed DVC on three separate occassions requesting clarification, or if the rules had changed. In all cases I never received an answer from DVC.

I find it interesting that in 17 years they haven't been able to fix it so their computers would actually match their published 'rules'.

So what happens on leap years? Do you have to call on the 1st for 30th reservations?
