-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello! I’m sure most of you have seen me lurking around for the last little while! And I’m so excited to finally start my PJ!!!

I’m Victoria (Torsie to everyone who knows me) 23 from London, England.
Jack is also 23 and he grew up in Buckinghamshire. :)

This is a photo of us on our engagement trip:

We met at University in Wales and were friends from our second day - we lived in the same Dormitory.

Jack followed me around for our whole first year, telling me he loved me and asking me to go out with him. I was mean and said ‘no’ as I was adamant I didn’t want a boyfriend during my first year as I wanted to enjoy some fun and freedom. But we hung out a lot and spent a lot of evenings watching movies together. (Only know does Jack tell me he orchestrated all of this to try and get alone time with me!)

During the summer between the first and second year, I was in Chicago and Wisconsin with my parents and really surprised myself thinking about Jack a lot.
More than my other friends!

When I got back to Uni after the summer, I was really glad to see jack and we spent most of our time with each other. By the second month of term we were officially boyfriend and girlfriend. :)

When we left University we both moved back with our parents, and were a few hours apart from each other. But my Dad bought us mobile phones with unlimited free calls to each other, and we took it in turns each weekend to visit one another.

Last November - After a year and a half of long distance - Jack finally came and moved in with my parents and I as we had moved to a much bigger house. And within a few weeks he came to work for my Dad’s company (where I also work).

The Ring

This is my ring:

As a lot of you know I found it just before Christmas and couldn’t think of anything else!! I just love it and can’t believe I’m lucky to have something so beautiful! It’s the type of ring I’ve always dreamed of!!

The Proposal

Here is a link to my proposal day on my recent trip to Disneyland Paris.

The Wedding

Obviously my plans may change - as I’m hoping for a spring 2011 wedding, but here are my early ideas!

I want a wishes wedding, with Ceremony at the Pavilion, Reception in the Whitehall Room and then a Wishes Desert party at Sago Cay Pointe.

We will be having music from the movie Enchanted - as we both love it!! So that will be our theme.

For my colour scheme, I think I’ll be having green and then pink floral.

These two colours on this invite are perfect for what I'm imagining....

That's it for now....but I should be updating pretty regularly. princess:

congrats from another uk bride.

We had our wedding at the wp and then the whitehall room, it was fantastic so you cant go wrong with your decisions.

Looking forward to hearing more

Thank you!! I love your wedding pics!! So if mine is half as nice as your I'll be happy happy!

Congrats on the engagement!! :goodvibes That's such a cute picture of you two, but you look freezing!! :rotfl: How was it when you were down there?

It was wonderful thanks - very cold! The waterfalls and lakes and rivers were frozen!

But didn't rain hardly at all, and we walked on to any ride we wanted the whole trip! Which was great except for Tower of Terror as it meant I didn't have an excuse not to ride!!

Was the best trip ever though - I cried the whole way back down Main Street when it was leaving time! :'(

oooh yay, you have finally started a pj!! We can read and listen to all your ideas now!!

you both look so cute together in that photo!

so yeah, ill be following your pj from now on!!

woooooo to UK Disney brides!!

looking forward to hearing more. You might be the first 2011 bride on here.

I started thinking about our wedding in September 2007, so about 25 months before the wedding although we only got officially engaged in July 2008 and thats when I started my PJ.

Cool, we have about 25 months now, but I started thinking about a DFTWin like September! Lol.

Poor Jack!

25 months isnt that long!! oursr is like 22 or something i think?

If you plan now, save up now, then you will have the perfect wedding!! Its easier for us to plan now, because of living in the UK, its harder because of the exchange rate and the price can get a bit scary when the pound drops against the dollar!! (like at the moment!!!)

But we are planning now, and trying to get a rough idea of how much the wedding will cost and we are expecting the worst from the pound against the dollar with saving up- plus that way, most of our family will be able to save up and come out there with us and we can have our dream wedding!!

25 months isnt long at all!!

Our thoughts exactly!

Were going to do our save the dates pretty soon! :)

Then it'll be really exciting!

yeah we are too, just a little something to send out to our family to say 'this is when our wedding is going to be, we want to give you time so you can try to come' or something like that.

We'll probably send out something small on a piece of paper, but i found a website called vista print and they do like, 50 fridge magnets for a fiver i think, and i said to Wayne, that could be a cool idea to send out for invites?

Well, either way, we are sending out some soon too. Just because we are scared too many people will let us down if we send out invites later, and say we didnt give them enough time to save up - (i know Disney do send out save the dates but its too late for us a year in advance for our guests). We will say on our cards that 'formal inviations are to follow' - i.e the Disney ones.

I like your idea for your invites, well the inspiration ..!!

Yeah - we are doing magnets! :)

I want to put them in a little luggage tag with a note card too. And then green and pink ribbon tiead on them :)

we did magnets as well, we even had people pull out 3 months beofre our wedding and they had booked and paid forthe holiday!

Its a nightmare trying to plan for everyone and then they pull out.

We I mean I started planning as soon as we got engaged so 2 years before our wedding and I called disney at around 20 months out but they told me to call back at 18 months. I didnt find this website till about 4 months into our engagement and This was a godsend

So do you get them from Vista print and are they only around fiver?

I was thinking of adding a piece of paper to so they can send it back to us .. and i was thinking of it saying (i saw on someones PJ!) ..

'yes we can come'

'sorry, we are too scared of mice!'

that made us laugh.. so i think we want to add that in somewhere, and im guessing adding it to a piece of paper so they can send back? But then, would i have to provide envelopes?

Yeahy you started yours :goodvibes I am going to be your resident PJ stalker!;)

I think were back on track for a December 2010 wedding - my parents were so shocked how inexpensive it is to get married abroad they have offered to pay for it and bring it forward! Lets just hope the dollar doesnt drop too more!

Oooh I am going to get started on my PJ now!:)
