So...we took our little cousin to Disney in FLA two years ago, and had a one year trial membership for a timeshare that included 5 days of park hopper passes.

We are going again, checking in on Valentines Day and leaving 2/21. Where is the best place to buy tickets? I have contacted one discount brokerage company in Orlando who is offering 4 day park hopper tickets, with the 5th day being free, for $241 per person. How do you know if they are legit? They say no timeshare presentations or anything like that! Only one problem....I found them on ebay and the offer was extended until tomorrow......YIKES!!!

I wouldn't trust any tickets being sold on ebay. You just have no way to know if they are legit until you get to the gates at WDW. And if they aren't you have to spend them money for another set of tickets.

There are a few legit companies that I know of. The one I have ordered from is Undercover Tourist. If you subscribe to the mousesavers.com newsletter you can get even better discounts, but I think it is too late for that for a Feb trip.

Also, where are you staying? Disney has a Buy 4 days get 3 free deal right now if you are staying on site. And if you are millitary there is great deal for them right now on tickets.

I know you can save a little by buying from some sites but I've always bought from Disney. The past 3 years I've had to buy a one day base tix to take advantage of the free DDP so I've had no choice.

I would not buy from ebay or any other auction, etc. site. (craigslist, etc.) you have no way to verify if the tix are valid until you use them the first time. How embarrasing it would be if they were all used up. :sad1: Plus you're out all that money.

We usually buy the 10 day, non expiring, PH, with pluses and use them for several trips. It's a bigger outlay at first but then we don't have to buy tix for the next few trips (and we have a ton of plusses)

One visit I lost my ticket when putting it back in my pocket after getting a fast pass. I panicked, went to lost and found and was directed to guest services. No problem - got a replacement. One other time I lost my ticket BEFORE I got to the park! Disney had my record of purchase and a replacement was easy. Not so if I had purchased somewhere else!!!! I always buy on property for the added "insurance":cool1:

I inquired on ebay to a power seller that had 100% feedback and tons of transactions....here is his email to me:

Hello,
We have the 4 day park hoppers listed on ebay or you can purchase them directly from us for $250.00 each adult 10 - over & 4 day park hoppers for children 3 - 9 years for $220.00. There is a bonus 5th day free that you will receive if the tickets are purchased by the 20th of January no matter when you & your family pickup your tickets. The 5th day will be confirmed in our email to you after purchase and they are upgradable so you can add more days if you choose. These prices will save you about $41.00 per ticket off the gate or Disney online price and taxes are included.
If you decide to purchase your tickets from our company you can do so any time up to 1 year in advance. We need at least 3 full days notice prior to your pickup of the tickets. You will be able to pickup your package from 7:30 am – 12:00 am midnight 7 days a week if prepaid. Please do a mapquest from your resort or hotel to our location address listed below. By the way, this is not a timeshare promotion or sales pitch of any kind, just discount tickets. If there is anything else I can help you with please don't hesitate to email or call 407-396-4433 I will be happy to assist you. Thank you.

And, I went through VRBO ($739 for the week, heated pool, sauna, fitness room, and 8 miles to gate) to get a 3 bedroom 2 bath town house in Kissimmee......we have a schnauzer, and I wanted a full kitchen and didn't want to leave her in a hotel room all day in case she barks....I didn't want anyone filing a complaint!

You can purchase a 6 day park hopper from undercovertourist complete with taxes and shipping for $ 274.95. The 6 day is the same price as the 3, 4, and 5 day tickets, though you get the extra "free" days to equal 6 days total...in other words, you can only buy 1 day, 2 day, 6 day, or more day hoppers through them.

You can get the 4 days/1 day free, tax included, from MapleLeafTickets, for $227.00 . I don't know if there is a shipping charge.

OfficialTicketCenter (recommended by the DIS) has those tickets, tax included, for $278.

And...I meant to thank you all for the wonderful advice! I wished you could see my current condition....I am almost to the point of breaking out into hives from worrying about this!

I wanted to get your opinions on this too:

I ordered the Disney Discout booklet on ebay (granted, it is not a coupon book, it's a report written by someone) and they suggested the time share thing! I am a Realtor and I know how to politely say that I am not interested. He gave me two websites, FreeDisneyworld.com and MagicalGetaway.com

Have any of you used this kind of service?

I only know from second-hand stories, but saying "politely" that you are not interested is not enough for many of of these time-share sells. I've heard stories about how they'll hold your tickets hostage until you practically threaten legal action. I've even heard stories about "daycare rooms" in which they hold the children hostage! Okay, that's a little much, and I only heard it once, and I don't know if the source was reliable....

But, if you want to spend a certain amount of your valuable vacation time listening to the spiel, and you think you are strong-minded enough to demand your tickets at the exact end of the allotted time...by all means, give it a go. I wouldn't...but I try to avoid ALL headaches on vacation.

THANK YOU MINDY!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

So....MapleLeafTickets is legit, and so is the Magic Castle Inn and Suites.....so, I guess I can rest easy now and purchase the tickets from MapleLeafTickets now and pick them up when we get down there....their shipping charges are not that bad actually!!!!

AND I DONT HAVE TO LISTEN TO THE TIMESHARE STUFF.....THAT'S A BONUS!!! WHEW!

Would you mind very much if I pm'd you the link to the discount booklet and let you tell me what is legit and what isn't?

I made an error. Maple leaf tickets has the HOPPERS for $276, not $227...that's the non-hoppers.

Well...I just saw that....I guess I will call the Magic Castle Inn and Suites. I think $250 is a good price, and if I don't have to hear anymore about timeshares, that's a good thing! That's $26 off, and a savings of $78, so, that's good don't you think? And MapleLeafTickets also has other ticket discounts for other things that look pretty good!!!

Just found another site listed in the "discount book": GreatOrlandoDiscounts.com
Their 5 day park hopper is $259.....actually, it's a 4 day, upgradeable to a 5 day

Keep in mind that MapleLeafTickets has a BBB (Better Business Bureau) rating, and Magic Castle does not list any BBB affiliation. I've only done business with undercovertourist, so I can't rate the others personally. I have heard good things about Mapeleaftickets, though.

This is off the op's topic, but you can get a replacement even before getting to the park IF you have a photocopy of the back of your ticket. This happened with dd's bff when we went w/ tickets from undercovertourist. I just gave Guest Services my photocopy and they printed (printed? spat out of the machine?) a new ticket.

This was more just a note to the op that if she gets her tickets elsewhere make sure to make copies of each ticket. Keep one in your bag, one in the room safe, maybe also one on another adult if you want to be extra safe.

I see you are renting a house, maybe the place you pick them up from can make copies, or find a post office. You could go to Guest Services in Downtown Disney also. I'd just get them copied asap just in case :)

Have a great trip!

WOW! Thanks for all the great info! My friend is correct...this place is addictive! I just got my tickets, and sent money through paypal...at least I have some assurance there! And, great info about copying the back of the tickets! I will definitely have them do that for me! They are on the same street as the townhouse we have rented! All in all I saved $410 on a place to stay, and about $100 or more on tickets! And, he has sea world tickets too for $68!

Anyone know how to get a discount on the swimming with the dolphins at sea world?

Just curious....anyone stayed at Magic Castle Inn??? :confused3
we need to book 2 really cheap rooms so we can go to the parks 2 days before our 1st cruise.
