If you could choose any DVC resort to stay in which one would it be an why? I would like specifics on each resort that makes them, in your estimation, the best resort.

Thanks so much!

I made this for on site Disney resorts only.

WOW! I take it Polls are not popular on the dis??

SOme have you have said which resort but no one has said why. Anyone??

Well - we all can stay at any resort we want....

I stay at Boardwalk Villas mostly because I love the location and I really enjoy having a Boardwalk/Epcot view. We will be back for 8 days in a few weeks.

My home resort is Wilderness Lodge. After this trip we will do a split stay back home and with BLT.

I picked BWV due to walking distance to EPCOT and HS. If location was not an issue I like SSR the best, nicest all around resort.

If I only could have one, it would be VWL. I've loved WL since it's been built. This past September we were lucky enough to visit Yellowstone and see the Old Faithful Inn and fell in love there, too:lovestruc I love the rustic look and especially at WL, how it's not just the building, it's the grounds, pool, the little brook by the bar, the geyser, it's a complete package. I'm on vacation in a very beautiful place when I'm at the WL/VWL. My favorite place to visit before WL was built was FW, not that we camped, but I like the outdoors and the nightly campfire with Chip and Dale was something we always brought our DSs too, no matter where we stayed.

We heard about DVC in '96, but didn't buy. We visited WDW around '98 - '00 stayed at WL, and saw the building that would become VWL, but we never looked into buying. I assumed that it would be too expensive, and just felt envious. That was probably the dumbest I ever was about anything, (well, maybe, I'm sure there are others in my family who would disagree, they still tease me about at trip to Sponge-a-rama, a side trip of about 2 hours drive for a 5 minute exhibit!). Anyway, once we decided to buy DVC in '03...my DM was turning 85, wanted a WDW birthday, the only way we could do that was to buy into DVC to get the rooms required for the party. DM loved BW...they were selling that resort with an incentive that was great so we bought and 2 days later bought an add on at VWL. VWL was where we stayed first, it's our true home resort. However, there's a song that goes "If you can't be with the one you love, you love the one you're with." Well, we have 5 home DVC's and we'll be happy at any of them, we are happy when we've stayed a few times at resorts we don't own at. We are not hard to please, but if there could only be one choice, it would HAVE to be VWL!

My family loves, LOVES, BCV. :love:
It is our favorite "warm weather" resort. We love SAB & being w/in walking distance to Epcot & DHS.

Our 2nd favorite is AKV, but it's our 1st choice for the colder time of year. In fact, we spent Xmas week 2007 there.

We're doing a split stay for 11 nights at both resorts this summer.

I chose BWV. We were married at WDW in 2003 and stayed in a 2 bdrm at BWV down by the community hall. We loved it. Now I love all the resorts each for a different reason, but my heart :love: belongs to the BWV.

It is all about location. When I was young we camped at Fort Wilderness sinced WDW first opened. We would always visit CR and PR and ride the monorail. This area stirs up powerful and pleasant childhood memories for me. Being close to the campfire program, Chef Mickey's and immersed in all the Disney Magic is what it is all about. Also, we spend most of our time at the MK and Epcot. We are SSR owners and we love it, but our hearts belong to the MK area. :love: :love: :love:

I'm happy to say I own at my favorite resort.....WLV.

I bought WLV before I stayed anywhere else....I just knew I loved WLV.

After my purchase I made my rounds around the others....and I am happy to report that WLV is my favorite.

Just so peaceful and beautiful:goodvibes
Just feels like "home":goodvibes

I wonder if some people have more than one favorite, or maybe DH and DW have different favorites (both of those are true in our house). My favorite is BCV, DH's favorite is OKW. Fortunately, my favorite when we go together is OKW-we can spread out and relax more, it's easier to sit out on the balcony, and there's less emphasis on going to the parks all the time, so I don't need the convenience. However, I go solo a lot (I'm a much bigger WDW fan than DH is), and for solo trips, I love my BCV. DH stayed at BCV with me for a few days once (last minute decision to join me), and although he said it was "OK", it didn't change his mind about his favorite-if anything it reinforced it, he said! Anyone else with a different "favorite resort" within the family?

I cannot vote in your poll because we love AKV and VWL equally, but for different reasons. BLT is an unknown and remains to be seen. I THINK we will like it if we can ever get in at 7 months. But can't say yet. If we can't get in at 7 months then we'll automatically just hate it for it being so exclusive!:rotfl: (Darn DVC raising that minimum add-on requirement next week. Their timing is awful.:headache: ) ANYWAY.....

AKV - it's gorgeous and we love it for it's theming and the animals and for Boma. Feel like we've been transported to another world.:thumbsup2

VWL - comfy, cozy, warm and inviting. Really feel like we're at some mountain lodge somewhere out west. Very relaxing atmosphere.

BWV because it is walking distance to Epcot & DHS. The excitement of the boardwalk at night. Jellyrolls (dueling piano bar) is right there too.

Our favorite is the Boardwalk. I love walking to Epcot and DHS. And that Boardwalk view can't be beat.

Bought AKV because of how modern and "new" it is plus we are starting a family and it will be great to take the kids there to see the animals, but...my wife and I fell in love with BCV this past summer. The themeing is just our style and Epcot is our favorite park, plus the scent they pumped through the building was intoxicating. We'll be buying there in the next 1-2years. After that, the wait is on for Grand Floridian DVC!

My favorite is the DVC resort that has:

* The location of BWV
* The points chart of OKW
* The dues and expiration date of BLT
* The room layout of VGC
* The furnishings of SSR

I voted for AKV because I love animals and I love staying in a savannah view room. I also like the contemporary feel of BLT and being on the monorail line.
