Does anyone know if people will be able to rent bikes during those time periods when the marina is closed.

Also, is there any chance that CSR will include more times when the marina is open?

Thanks again .:goodvibes

Great pics and glad to hear you enjoyed your stay! We are going for our 1st trip to wdw in Feb and staying at CSR....I'm psyched!(yes a 48 year old man is psyched!)
Make sure you ask for "my 1st trip to WDW" buttons when you check in. How exciting!!!! Have a great time!!!

Beautiful pictures...you made me homesick! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, my pleasure!

We were there for the week of Thanksgiving. No snakes or alligators. We did see bass and perch in the lake. We also saw a family of deer...buck, doe, and two fawn. Was really cool.

Just got back this week from a wonderful stay in Casitas 5, room 5302. We were not looking forward to the resort at all considering we've always stayed at GF but we were very happily surprised and would stay there again. Bus service was a total hit and miss but since we were at stop 2 we at least always had a seat.

Did want to warn about a bad experience we had though and that was with Mimo's Pizza. While we were there they were slipping advertisements under our door everyday. One day we got back to the room after 11pm and decided to order from them since we were hungry and Pepper market and room service were already closed. We ordered at 11:15 and told it would be 30-45 minutes. Well we waited and waited and eventually fell asleep. My DH cell phone rings at 1:30am (over 2 hours since we ordered) it was the delivery boy and he says "I'm down at the fountain waiting" so my hubby gets up and heads down to the Casitas 5 fountain. After about 10 minutes he comes back to the room and says the guy wasn't there. So he calls the kid back and he says "I'm in the lobby at the fountain." Not very happy we both get dressed and walk the 8 minute walk to El Centro at 1:30am in 30ish degree weather.

When we get there we pay and the kid looks at us wanting a tip...as if. We get back to the room and I swear it was the worse pizza I'd ever eaten and the wings were freezer cold. Never again.

If Disney security won't let outside companies deliver to your room I totally understand since it's for our protection. This is the only excuse I can think of for not brining it to our room But I feel like Mimo's should have informed us of that when we placed our order. Thank God we weren't any farther away than Casitas 5. It also seems like they shouldn't be advertising so hard in an area they can't deliver too.

Just wanted to warn those who like us weren't aware of this situation. We weren't happy campers. No problems with Disney but two thumbs down for Mimo's.

Has anyone who has stayed at CSR come across snakes at the resort?

While we were there in October, they did wrangle a snake out of the bushes that was under some kind of grate. It didn't look that big and scary-don't know what kind it was. Needless to say, we stopped using the little shortcut through the grass after that. :rolleyes1
I used to live in Orlando (should have remembered not to walk through the shortcut!) and I can tell you that with all the ponds and lakes, there are definitely snakes. Some friendly ones and some not so friendly ones. ;) They pretty much leave you alone if you stay away from them. Just keep an eye out when you are walking around landscaping or near the bank of a lake at any resort or neighborhood in Florida. :goodvibes
Oh yeah, while you're there, I wouldn't stick my toe to far in a lake either. If there is standing water in Florida, you just might meet an alligator!

No, its closed for everything.

The rooms look beautiful, pretty much just like the club rooms that were posted recently. The only difference I see is that there's no dvd player (I believe) and there's no shelf under the sink in the bathroom area for storage (??). Can anyone tell me if the alarm clock is also an ipod dock/charger?

Thanks for the picture of the new updated rooms at the CSR.

The new beds look comfy and longer.

Do you think we can still fit a twin areo bed in the standard new updated rooms at the CSR ?

Does the desk actually save some space for a twin areo bed to fit in the CSR room ?

Our teen DS & DD do not sleep together.

Thanks !

We are leaving in 2 days!! We will most definitely be asking for a remodeled room. Does anyone know if it's in a preferred location, or if they are more expensive?

Thanks!:santa:
