This was our room 1756, and as you can see there is a king size bed.

This is room 1716 and it had a king size bed, but we did not like the location.

What was it about the location that you did not like? We requested a manor as it is our anniversary but you never know what you are going to get.

Thanks everyone for the great pictures and info! We'll be staying at POR in November. Has anyone stayed during the middle of November? I am slightly worried about how cool the weather will be. Was last in WDW about 6 years ago in April and the weather was unseasonably cool then - froze to death at Typhoon Lagoon :scared1:

Can't wait to get to POR!

Nov. weather is beautiful during the day, but you will most likely need a sweater and jeans for the evening. Last year, mid Nov. we had great weather all week and then a cold front moved in the morning we were leaving, it was FREEZING! So you just never know?!

Although I have been to POR numerous times, I never get tired of looking at photos! It's so beautiful - DH and I are really looking forward to seeing it again in 7 weeks!

Thanks to everyone who was kind enough to share these amazing photos!

we're about to book our last 3 nights at Riverside.

anyone want to recommend a section that is outstanding or a view that is amazing?

not that we'll be in the room looking out often just looking to end our trip with a wonderful room

River view from Alligator Bayou 14 or 27 is great, or river view from Oak Manor or especially Parterre Place with the water ferries and carriage rides going past at night.

Sorry I did not get back to you sooner, We did not like room 1716 because it was on the first floor and there was more traffic, more people used this walk way, we used it to get to our changed room 1756. 1756 was on the 2nd floor and out of the way, it had a very nice view.

If you would like to be close to the quiet pool and laundry. This would be a great spot. It does have a king size bed.

Doing the single digit dance!!! :cool1:

If anyone is down there from the 14th thru the 20th and want to say hi, PM me and we will see what we can work out!

Wishing everyone lots of the dust for the trip! pixiedust:

I will be gone before yoou get there. We lwave in just a few hours to go down. :cool1:  :yay: :dance3:
Have a great trip! Be safe. :goodvibes

Were 1716 and 1756 both king beds? And both corner rooms with 2 windows? Are they considered Standard or Water / Preferred View?
Thx

Yes both 1716 and 1756 have king size beds and they are corner rooms. They are considered King size and I do believe that you pay extra for the king size bed.

Thanks everyone for posting these pictures! We leave in a little over 2 weeks, and I can't wait!! Even my husband who isn't really thrilled about this trip (first visit!) thinks that he might have a nice time relaxing at the resort now that he's seen all the pictures! :goodvibes

Grin, how many threads have we seen with messages in like that one?

I'd just make sure that you take the WDW booking line phone number with you, ready for when he asks for it half-way through your stay to book again for next year. :)
