I've been putting off starting a PJ for the past 6 months b/c I was going to wait until we booked with Disney but I bought my dress today so I feel like a real bride now! Before I get to that, I shall share some background info!

Mike and I met way back in August 1998 at Band Camp! Anywho, we started dating our Junior year of college! Our first date was April 17, 2004.

The Proposal

Mike and I went on our first vacation together this past April. Our first night there (exactly 4 years from our first date) he surprised me with a Wishes! cruise. It was just the 2 of us on a boat meant for 10! He told the driver he was planning on proposing during the fireworks. She was great! (If any of you plan on doing a Wishes cruise, her name was Rose.) She drove us around and told us all about Bay lake and all sorts of things. It was amazing. Then she took us to see the water pageant which was great! Then the fireworks and the proposal. It really was magical! She was so excited b/c no one had ever proposed on her boat before. She called her boss and asked for permission to dock at the wedding pavilion so we could get a shot at picture point!

The Plans

We decided to wait 2 years so we can save up enough money for the wedding and a down payment on a place to live! We originally wanted to do April 17 b/c it was not only the day we got engaged but also our first date! Anywho, April 17, 2010 is a Saturday and well, we can't afford a saturday wedding! So it will be sometime around then!

We really like the wedding pavilion and are 100% set on it!
For the reception we really like the Living Seas but I'm a little concerned it might be too dark! I've always envisioned a bright, airy look to my reception! We will see!

The colors will be Purple, Pink and Champagne! My sisters aren't exceptionally thrilled with purple dresses but i am set on Purple and Pink, Bright Springy colors!

I have already bought the favors/placecard holder, the cake topper, the cake cutting set, and MY DRESS!!

This is the favor/placecard holder. I'm also doing welcome bags so I'll have more wedding stuff in them for the guests! I just thought these were cute!

This is our cake topper! I love it!

I don't have any pics of my cake cutting set b/c it's kind of plain. It's just a Stainless Steel set with plain white handles!

welcome and congrats! your dress is beautiful! The colors you chose will be very pretty and def very springy! Your lenox cake topper is one of my favorites! we are planning on the WP too!:goodvibes Welcome to another 2010 bride!:yay: looking forward to hearing more of your plans!

Holey Moley! Are you ever ahead on planning! Excellent!:thumbsup2

I love your dress :goodvibes It's so elegant and beautiful. It will look great with the spring colors. BTW - how does your DF feel about the pink and purple? Mine went on strike when I wanted pink :lmao:

Great start to the pj - I'll be waiting to read more!!

Thanks ladies!

Padisney ~ I love the cake topper too! I think it is so sweet and elegant looking!

MegKate ~ I started early shopping for things b/c I figured it was easier on the wallet to spread the charges out rather than buying everything at once! DF is fine with pink as long as he and his groomsmen don't have to wear it! He knows it's my fav color and wants me to be happy! :goodvibes

spreading costs out- that is exactly why I started things early too! a little here and a little there makes a difference along the way. It's great you have your dress- one less thing to worry about later! good luck with all your plans. :goodvibes tammy

Glad you started a PJ!!!! Hooray for a fellow band girl! Didn't know you were in band too!! Of course I was in colorguard but its close enough. :lmao:

Your dress is GORGEOUS!!! I love the bow! :cutie:

I didn't know that you were in band. I consider colorguard members band members too! I could never twirl one of those flags though, i'm a major klutz and would probably knock myself out! I marched trumpet, then my senior year had to do the pit b/c i hurt my knee. :lmao:

Thanks for stopping by!

Sorry Ladies! I'm taking the pics of my dress of b/c I want DF to play around on here and get ideas! I don't want him to accidentally stumble across it!

Yeah another 2010 bride. I love the colors you have chosen, very pretty. Your dress looks gorgeous on you. Can't wait to hear more about your big day.

Congrats on starting a pj! Great ideas and great dress!! As for LSS for a reception it really isn't that terribly dark in there and the whole atmosphere of the tank.. amazing.. we were set on the gf ballroom at first and then df mentioned why don't we just look .. and oh my we both just fell in love with lss!!

Thanks! :goodvibes The tank and the atmosphere are really what made us fall in love with LSS. I love it but have never been there and have seen a lot of darker pics. :confused3

I'm planning on making all my bouquets and was wondering if anybody knows where I can find nice silk flowers online? I've been to a few stores around here but they all have a very limited selection of flowers! I'm nervous to order off of ebay b/c it's hard to tell if the flowers are bouquet worthy! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!:goodvibes

hi, I did my own flowers, mine and all my bridesmaids! (with my mom :) ) I love them and they came out beautiful! I bought them at Micheals crafts,

I had a hard time I went to the flower district in NYC and they had crap there! So when we came home my mother went to micheals and they also have nice walmart! If I can figure out how to post it, I will!

I too am doing silk flowers I bought mine on afloral.com, spent about $70 for about 75 flowers. Fast shipping, and they look great. I also ordered the wrong color accidentally (was totally my fault) and had no problems with returning/exchangeing as well.
