I already have the room reservations and the tickets. He says he's not sure if we can afford it now. I'm so not happy.
What will show that you guys can afford it? If you have the money for the reservations, if you have the tickets, what is it he is thinking will absolutely destroy your wallet?
Honestly, this is what, the third time he has done this? At this point I would be planning a trip without my husband. Assuming you DO have the money, that you're not borrowing and putting yourself in a hole to go, I think he just doesn't want to go.
Also, I assume that with each cancelation you've been putting money aside, so seriously, what is he thinking is going to happen, money-wise? People do joke about the Mouse pickpocketing them, but for all of our trips, we have actually had to put money out there in order to get anything. There's nothing extra we've been surprised by. The only wild card is souvenirs, but that is EASY to plan ahead for by shopping at disneyshopping.com's outlet, at the
Disney Store if you have one nearby (I hear they have good sales), and even the character outlet warehouse down the road from
Disneyland.
Other than that, you know the transportation costs, you have the hotel, you have the tickets. You have access to the menus, and you likely know how easy it is to share food, buy kid's meals, and bring in your own food to supplement or substitute. There are menus, if I recall correctly, for Mimi's and Millie's and maybe Coco's online, so even that's simple. Hubby, son and I all shared a macaroni and cheese dish, with garlic bread and a big salad, from Millie's, and it was under $12. We were all hungry, too! Big meal.
You guys need to have a
talk, b/c it really seems there's something strange going on in his head, to keep doing this to your family.
