Just got into my first House Party!

Hi there! I just found out I was chosen to do the Cartoon Network Star Wars house party! This is my first one. Anyone who has done them - did you like doing it? They said they will send a party package - what does that include? Decorations? Thanks for any info you can give me!

Congratulations! I was emailed to apply, but haven't heard from them. Each party is different, so keep checking the party page, they will post what they are sending.

Thanks! I logged into the site today to see what was going on..then it asked me to fill out an invitation for the party for our guests. I did that, and then I got an email stating basically since I was one of the first finalists to do that, I got in as a host! I see in the email now about checking back with what they will send. What has anyone else gotten in the past? Just sitting here making out our guest list. We are excited for this...something fun to do before Halloween! Thanks for the replies!

I was fortunate enough to be selected to host the Disney Cruise Line house party back in January. It was awesome - they sent so much stuff..photo albums, a stuffed miini dresses in silver an blue for the year of a million dreams, t-shirts iron on, posters, napkins, bags, coloring pages, etc etc etc....I was also selected to host the Hershey Bliss party - again very cool, they sent 9 bags of chocolate, gift bags, etc

I was just gonna post since I got in too ! MY DS is going to be really wowed since it happens on his Birthday ! Both DS's have been begging us to take them to see the movie, now I have to take them. I can't wait to see what the party package includes. My very first House Party !

Congrats to my fellow hosts! Idieh - thanks for telling us what you got..that sounds great! Just checked my email, first email says I am a host, 2nd says I am a finalist. But, I am able to go fill stuff out for the party, so I am a host, right? Can't wait to tell my DS (8). All our kids (old and young ) are gonna have a blast! My DH is just as excited as a kid would be!

I got into this one too ! This will be my first one and I am also going to incorporate it into a birthday party for my son. I just told him about it and he is so excited.

The party packages vary, and some are much better than others.

I got into the Cartoon Network house party too, it will be my third.

The Nestle Bliss houseparty included paper gift bags, six bags of Nestle Bliss chocolates -- two each of milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and chocolate filled -- magnets, pens, grocery list pads, and a photo album for the host.

My Better Homes and Gardens Pink Plaid party package included the BH&G cookbook, 15 packages of batteries (energizer AA, I think) and 15 free salad coupons to give to each guest, a music CD, and there might have been something esle I'm forgetting.

My sister-in-law was chosen for the Gerber party. She got three cases of Gerber Organic 2-pack baby foods!!, I don't remember the flavors but they were good fruity ones I think, a bib, a bunch of coupons and gift bags, and an insulated lunch bag.

Unfortunately I didn't get in on the Margaritaville party, I think those hosts received a frozen drink maker in their packages!

My 8 year old is a HUGH Star Wars fan. I can't believe I got into this one. We will be partying big time with this one. I am thinking of inviting all of his little friends over in their Star Wars gear. They will have a ball.

I wonder what we'll get for this party? It would be so cool if the kids get light sabers or something! So, I am guessing we'll get a DVD of the cartoon to show? Also, will they tell us what they are sending before hand? Do they use UPS or Fed Ex? This is all new to me! Thanks!

I just found out about this not too long ago from the dis boards! It is a website called house party - I googled it and found it. You sign up to host parties for companies and then they send you a free goody bag to do the party. They ask you to plan the party on their website (I am gonna print invites and email some, ect.). I guess it is all free. I just got my first party and I am excited! If anyone else knows more info, please add it!
