How early do you get up when at WDW

What time do you get up to go to the parks

  • I hit AM EMH and I am there at ropedrop

  • I intend to be there for ropedrop but never seem to quite make it.

  • We go when we get up, no early risers here

  • We hit PM EMH

I can sleep any time at home (well, on Saturdays...), but I can't do Disney unless I'm at Disney; we get up early, are there for rope drop, and are usually there all day until late night, often until closing.

We usually go for 10-12 days so our first 4 days are go, go, go, and go. We do all the EMH's and stay busy all day. I am like a kid in a candy store. LOL After the first 4 days we slow down a bit--buy not much. LOL

We sleep in, and be lazy during the heat of the day! Go to the parks in the PM, with EMH, and close the parks! I love it, because you don't have the sun glaring on you, and there's a special atmosphere at the parks in the evening! I especially love when EMH at the MK is till around 2:00 am! :cool1:

As a recovering park commando with 35-40 WDW visits under my belt, I am now happy to wake up whenever and proceed to the park. I used to be the first one awake, now sometimes DW gets up and gets ready to go and has to wake me up:earsboy:

Done rope drop at DL once or twice, also at AK once. I dont know if I ever have at MK. Its easier at DL because you just get up ten minutes prior and walk over. I never bother at WDW.

We don't call them Disney vacations, We call them Disney trips. We will resy when we get home. Fun Fun Fun:banana:    Up early to bed late. EMH morning and night. We take a pool break in the middle of tha day. Sometimes a nap.

This is exactly what I said when someone asked if we planned to get up before noon any while there. I said every single day we will be at RD and we will go till late in the evening. We took afternoon breaks most days. We can rest when we get home. Disney is something we do very rarely so we like to try and experience as much as we can.

Generally our trips to WDW are always pretty brief so we get up early and leave late. We have 4 or 5 days to try and cram as much stuff in as possible, INCLUDING Universal! This trip we're only doing Disney though and we plan to make full use of the EMH in the morning and evening. We can sleep when we get home XD

I've always wanted to take a more leisurely trip though, like a week and a half and just go at a slow pace. Someday!

We don't do EMH, in fact we avoid EMH parks. But we do get up early and arrive at the park at or just before opening. We find we can get so much done early.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Me, too. I avoid EMH. But I do open a non-EMH park.

Oh, and you should have a choice for those of us who just don't sleep at all at WDW. You can't get up if you've never gone to bed!;)

we try to make it to the rope drop but its hard with my system still being three hours behind so we try but most the time doesn't happen. moving a little to slow.

Us too...we always have the best intentions to get there early, but we get up around 7:30-ish, sometimes grab breakfast, sometimes have cereal bars and soda in our mugs while waiting for the bus (VERY nutritious :rotfl2: ). HOWEVER-you haven't done Disney until you do rope drop at MK! We have to do that at least once a trip!

The only day we don't go at rope drop is the day we arrive.
No point in going when the park is crowded.

I can sleep when I get home.

I am glad others come late, I can most of the park done by the time they arrive in the afternoon.

No voting option for me. We don't go to EMH but always go to rope drop at a non-EMH park. We are near the front, if not first, of the line at the turnstyles. We need the extra hour of sleep so no EMH for us.

Totally making it at rope drop. Totally skippin' EMH. Did it once at MK. Nightmare! Super crowdy!

Same here. We almost are always there a good 30-40 minutes before the park opens....it's the only line we wait in all day!!

Never EMH though...that's too early.

We're there at rope drop every day (never at the park with AM EMH, though). It's the only way to do the parks. :thumbsup2

another one voting that there was no option for me to vote for--we always do RD at non-EMH parks. I've seen the crowds pouring into the parks at at 10:30 or 11 am and I will never, ever be a part of that group!

If we have an ADR like at CP, we like to be in the MK before the park opens, so we get it set early and get up early and go.

We decided after many meltdowns, that we get up and go when the kids get up. Now, they are 6,4 and 2 and get up earlier than most, but we have better days when we dont wake them. They usually wake up when they hear us moving around the room.

We still get there pretty early, but not always for rope drop.

Why does everyone keep saying that they don't do the EMH's? Our trip is short so every hour counts. I thought that the EMH's could help us a bit.

We realized last year that we've lost count of how many WDW trips we've taken. Still, even though it's too many to keep count of, we've yet to even see a rope drop.

I can't imagine the circumstances where we ever will either.
