And the Rain, Rain, Rain Came Down, Down Down - or Oy, Fay! Updated 10/1. The End.

Dang it......Rosie beat me! That's why she's our Computer whiz!

Looking forward to the ride, CE! :thumbsup2

Thanks, TE! :goodvibes

Skip the chit chat??? You seriously think we Fockers will skip the chit chat? We ARE the chit chat! :lmao:

Well, no, but I didn't want to scare off any non-Fockers who might drop in! ;)

well, hmpf! When I told Daran about the Focker meet, he just glazed over and said "we've already been this year. "
(BA and I are gonna go on our own.....sometime...soon...maybe......or just me!)

You gotta get a better DH... :rolleyes1

JK - Daran seems fantastic. But we DID miss you a bunch.

Folks - what is a Focker anyway?

Jodi explained, but we are just a group who decided to use the "I'm watching you, Focker" look (from Meet the Parents) to ID each other in the parks, but then have turned into a group of really chatty folks on the Community Board here. ;)

Hi CE,

I'm a newbie here. Your catchy title caught my eye, so here I am. Can't wait to read more!:surfweb:

Hi, and welcome! Thanks for stopping by! The DIS is a fantastic place for info and friends!

"Oy, Fay!"

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Love it! Okay, going to actually read now...

Thanks, V! :goodvibes

...they are NOT identical twins and he is about 2 inches taller than Woody. So, he can do all the thrill rides, but has no interest. Poor Woody wants to do them, but can't quite make it yet. ;)
Wow, I completely missed the height difference! Poor Woody.

The trip vitals: AKL, savannah view bunk beds,
Yay for bunk beds! :yay:

So, why did we head for Florida in August, when I had no intention of heading back until roughly February 2009???

It's all Jo's (DisneyJo, that is) fault. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:
BWAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!:lmao: It is all Jo's fault! LY Jo!

There's a great group of DISers out there who call themselves the Fockers? Why? They decided that a great way to recognize another DISer in the parks would be to use the "I'm watching you, Focker" look that Robert DeNiro does in Meet the Parents.
Yeah, except that we never remember to actualyl do the sign.

There was a bit of drama for me, personally, just before we left. My grandfather, who's been living with inoperable lung cancer for 4ish years, was also suddenly diagnosed with colon cancer. :guilty: We were supposed to leave Wed., Aug. 20th, but Grandpa was now scheduled for necessary but very risky surgery on the 18th. He pulled through yet again, so we were feeling good to go.
 Because you cna never have too many.

I feel that I've left some things out of my intros and briefing... :rotfl:

The big DIS meet that made me plan the whole trip ;) was planned for 40ish people (that would be roughly 12 DISers and their families) at Epcot at the Biergarten for the Sat. of the trip, 8/23. We all shared itineraries and contact info, but I had not many park days in common with anyone else. Some of the Fockers were there for days beforehand, some came in around the same time as me, but were staying longer, and a few came in for just the weekend.

We all had our "stalker" info and our eyes wide open for random spottings, but aside from a few smaller meets, we weren't expecting to all be together until Saturday. Any unplanned meets would be VERY exciting - the parks are large, after all, and we weren't all at the same resorts or anything.

This group is well known for our rather strict planning and park touring strategies, too, so we didn't expect much deviation from the plans. :rotfl:

While quite a few of our Community Board group were, indeed, able to go last week, we also had quite a few who couldn't. :sad2: So, to keep them included, many of us took along "Flat Fockers" - a la Flat Stanley - so that they could be there in spirit. :thumbsup2

Next up, flying into Fay!

HI CE! I feel like we only got to meet for a minute and then it was over. :headache: So how's that February trip coming? :rolleyes1

Hi, CE! Your good friend and my daughter sent me the link to your TR. Can't wait for more. I really enjoyed your last one. I will have to go back to the trip-planning report. They are always great fun also. We are going soon (Sept 13) to meet our DS, DDIL, and DGC! We can't wait. DS is so excited to get home and see his kids. Couldn't get a character meal with Donald because our trip was planned so late. All the free-dining has everything all booked up. Oh well, we will have a great time anyway.

Take care and I'm waiting for your next installment!
Love you all,
Your friends from Illinois

Hello! (everyone, this is my friend Dr. Belle's mom) When I talked to Dr. Belle last night, she mentioned that your DS was coming home (he's in the Army) and then on to WDW. WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, my mom feels better today, but no test results yet. ;)

Give DS, DDIL, and the DGKs a big hug from me.
