John has a Mac, and now they have them throughout the business. He keeps wanting me to get one, but I just can't get used to it.

Marilyn, they're easy to get the hang of. It's a little bit of an adjustment at first, but I wouldn't use anything else at home. I wish I could have one here at work instead of a PC.

Marilyn,
Everything is so much easier on a Mac! That might be the biggest part of the adjustment!:thumbsup2 I can use a PC, but I just get so FRUSTRATED when I'm trying to do something that would be so easy on my Mac! I use a PC at my sister's sometimes. All those stupid windows popping up all the time drive me crazy!

Hi Jan,
Sorry I haven't been around lately. One of my good friend's husband passed away this past Wed. He was 61, but had lots of health problems. They have no children. It's been rough on her.
My arm still having some problems, but better in general. I got my cast off, and just have a splint so I can start to rehab my hand/wrist. It's amazing how much movement/strength, etc. you lose in a month's time
But, I CAN SCRATCH MY ARM NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:goodvibes :thumbsup2  ::yes:: :yay: :yay: :dance3: :dance3: Even if it is going to be slow and long,I finally feel like I am finally on my way to getting better...so Yeah!! Thanks for asking....Vicki

 Sorry to hear about your friend's husband. Even with health problems, it's hard. I am sure she is glad she has your support.
Thanks for the report on the arm! Do keep us posted. Nitty gritty is fine. We will rejoice in every little improvement!

What is his business?

I have only ever used a PC so have nothing to go on, but my brother loves his MAC.

Mainly lecterns(podiums) - the audio visual ones that Universities use, but others for speakers too. Also church supplies. That is what he started out doing. Church lecterns led to bigger and better ones!!!

Our son is a Mac man too.

Just jumping in to say hi to all of you:wave2: :wave2: want to ask have we got an "official" name for this bunch yet??? I need to start on door signs:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
BTW to those of you that have not heard I am EllaEnchanted's DH. will check in as I can and can't wait

I'm afraid we have frightened all the early posters away and it would be nice to chat to them. They could also chose an official group name.

I would love a logo too.

I have no idea on a good group name. I agree a logo would be good too once we agree on a name for this bunch.

Kids, kids, kids! How about you wait till it's only a year out for logos and names....give the group a chance to grow. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

.

So, an addictive website. I might have introduced it to some of you last year, but some of us on a UK board are there again.

Just click the bottles and you can write one and send. You then receive them too. Look out for Dibbers!!!

Complete time waster.

Isn't the name of our thread "LAST CALL for Tortola"?????? We're getting down to the wire here! We don't want to leave everything 'till the last minute!!!!

Speaking of not leaving anything until the last minute.....has anyone looked at excursions for this trip yet? Any thoughts about what you might do?

Well I did fancy the cable car at St John's as the view looks fab.

We'll have to wait till the info comes out for tortola, but probably we could get some idea off Cruisecritic in their destinations section.

Oh boy! Just what I need! Actually, this is very cool...but I must get back to disposing of the junk I cleaned out of some cupboards yesterday. Thanks, Marilyn!:goodvibes

They make lecterns--like out of wood or metal?
They use the computers to keep track of business stuff?
