Hi! We are going to DL in October, and we always do at least 1 character meal. We are considering doing Chip n Dales this time around, as we have never done this one, and I was just wondering what sort of items they have to eat? Are they also buffet or table service as Goofys?

TIA!!

They offer an all you can eat buffet, or you can order off the menu. I like to use the menus at dlresortinfo dot com, since they seem to be most current.

The buffet has lots of fresh fruit, lox and bagels, oatmeal, kashi cereals in single serving containers, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, red potatoes, brioche french toast--my favorite!!, an omelette station, lots of pastries.... I am sure I am forgetting something.... oh, and they asked us at our table if we wanted waffles or pancakes, and we got the waffles--they are mickey mouse shaped...

:) I got tricked by our our server asked that...she asked if we wanted "Mickey waffles or pancakes", and I put a "Mickey" in front of both. She should have said "pancakes or Mickey waffles". I was glad DS was playing with Kenai and didn't expect Mickey pancakes...that way only I was disappointed! :goodvibes

They also have veggie sausages, yay! (I've heard Lilo's b'fast does too but I didn't see them)

Oh!! I remembered that you said that in one of your posts... which is why I asked for waffles! too funny...

The breakfast is yummy. I don't always order off the buffet when given a choice between buffet and a la carte, but I really liked the selections and the quality was great for a buffet. Food that was supposed to be served hot was served hot. Food trays were replenished regularly so that things didn't run out and were always fresh.

Remembered two things!

In December they had a wonderful chocolate croissant, and their coffee is really good. The server, when I asked, said that it's still Nescafe, but a special blend that only the GCH gets. It was nummers.

Here's a glimpse of the buffet, the surroundings, and some fun you can have. Sorry it's blurry, but actually I like that b/c other peoples' kids aren't front and center (neither is my guy) and you can just see the ranger, the Brother Bear bear, and the prettiness!!!

We were also told that they stop serving off the menu just in time for their last seating (meaning you cannot order from the menu at that seating), and if you want to see Chip and Dale themselves, I think they said that their last swoop through the restaurant is at 10:30. Disney Dining doesn't tell you this, so if you want to see the main men, go earlier rather than later.

Also, if you order the buffet, you can get pretty much anything that is on the menu by asking, included in the price.

A little OT, but their buffet for dinner was pretty nummers too... we went pretty late on a Tuesday (8:30 PM), and everything was hot and fresh... no characters at dinner of course... but good food... loved the smashed potatoes and dessert...
