Good Morning WOnDeRs to another rainy day in Scotland - well it is middle of the night where you are and I am just about to go to work :goodvibes

We have had another fantastic week and the weight loss is

34lbs

so that makes a total of 81lb

so to our small child we could add a a toddler or we could just make it one sulky teenager ;)

Our biggest loser this week was maiziezoe with a loss of 5lbs - well done

Have a great week everyone and I think we are going to see some more amazing results

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

My weight loss - stayed the same :guilty:

Wow that was another great weight loss!

I think we should stick with a small child and a toddler.....I really couldn't handle a sulky teenager right now! :rotfl2:

Don't worry Jackie. STS is better than a gain, good luck this week.

I will post me weigh in results on Weds......Good luck everyone! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

I finally had some success last week and lost 4 pounds! :yay:

I worked out at the gym 4 out of the last 7 days and carefully watched my calorie intake. Only 71 lbs to go...

Good luck to all!!

Candis

This week I lost...NOTHING. :headache:

My plan for this week is to stick with smaller portion sizes and close the kitchen after 9pm. And do the exercising I said I'd do last week. So basically, I ate more than I should have and didn't work out. Can't figure out why I didn't lose this week. ;)

Nothing lost nor gained for me this week; which is great! My goal is just to maintain at this point. back to my lifestyle routine for this week.

Quote of the Week: When feeling hungry or the urge to eat try taking a nap or falling asleep. You will awake less hungry.

Well, I'm down to 161.5 so that makes it 1.5 pounds lost and 1.5 to go by Saturday. Yesterday didn't help any, DH and i had a HUGE fight and I decided to eat the left over domino's pizza he had for dinner last night.. ugh, feeling sick today... but hey, todays another day, have walked/run 3 miles this morning and I'm off to fix a healthy breakfast and decide if I want to get up and head to an office to work today or if I feel like staying home and getting work done.:rolleyes1
GREAT JOB EVERYONE on the losses last week.. and Great job on the 4 lbs loss this past week CDFL30!!! Staying the same isn't a bad thing... I've been sitting at 163 for a month or so it seems like... take a look at your routine and see if there's anything you could change (do you need to be eating more??/ different foods) as sometimes that's all it takes to get your body to loosing again

I just found out about the cruise last week. I really need to lose a lot of weight - mostly to get healthy. I was recently diagnosed w/ Diabetes and am still eating way, way, way to many carbs.

I am currently on a project that keeps me in Copenhagen for four or five weeks at a time - with no scale in my hotel room :confused3 but I try to find one. There may be one in the gym - never been there :rotfl:.

I do know I've lost 10 pounds since being there - mostly because I hate the food and I have to walk to work. The bad news is, I found a store that sells Lays potato chips - big mistake, I could eat a bag a night, I'm so bored. The weather is getting better, so I just need to suck it up and go walking - the area I am in is very pretty, near the water and I can see the cruise ships that come into port from my office window, so that should help in the motivation area.

Can I take a minute to add one thought - we should have a get together of the group on the cruise w/ before and after pictures. Of course only if we do well :rolleyes1 otherwise I remain an 'invisible' friend.

Hope everyone has a great week.

I am excited to see a loss today after my weight going up 2 pounds when my girlfriend showed up. OK TMI but it always depresses me when I see the scale go up even if it isnt real. I walked almost 10 miles total this week. Even though I had to work overtime this week.

I can not believe we have lost 81 pounds total. WOW that is just amazing!!

Cool. :3dglasses

Unfortunately, I didn't lose it the "right" way. I lost it because my baby was in the hospital. She is MUCH better now and my goal for last week was to keep the 5 pounds off.

:cool1: I did it! I turned 40 on Saturday and was really happy when my hubby followed my orders of NO CAKE! It was a rough week... my mom had a birthday, my brother had a birthday, my bff turned 40 and we threw a surprise party for her and I turned 40... but I kept the 5 pounds off so I am happy! :)

My goal for this week is 2-3 pounds. This turning 40 thing takes a week to celebrate!

Ack!!! My weight is actually up 2lbs this week...I am so mad! I could understand if I'd really over-eaten a lot last week -- but I didn't. This is getting so frustrating. I feel like I'm never going to reach my 50lb goal now that it's so close.

This last 5lbs has truly been like a yo-yo for me for about three months now. I'm just hoping I can kick it up a notch now that the weather has gotten a little nicer and I'll be outside more.

I hope everyone else had better results than I did. :thumbsup2

I stayed the same. For some reason I was just eating like crazy last week. I will do better this week and maybe add an extra hour at the gym.

Becky

I think I posted on the wrong thread. For last week I actually lost. I have lost one pound. So, it's not much, but better than just staying the same.

Thanks for the encouragement Sailors_Wfe! I agree with your view on eating different foods to see if it helps. I have been following a low-calorie/low-fat diet for months now and have barely been able to lose any weight. Its been so frustrating because I feel so deprived yet I'm not losing anything. Recently I started tracking my calories in the Calorie King software and despite my low cal/fat, my carbs were sky high! I have always been skeptical of the "extreme" low carb diets so I have never tried a carb controlling diet. I think now after reviewing my food intake, I am going to try to relax just a little on the fat restriction and focus a little more on carb restriction to see what happens. I'm not going to do anything extreme, just make subtle changes like replace my typical lunch of raisin bran/banana/yogurt with a spinach salad and a bowl of berries for dessert. I typically consume about 300 grams of carbs but I am going to try to keep them under 100 grams. Its definitely going to be a challenge!

If anyone else has input on carb restricting diets (good or bad), I would love to hear them.

Happy Birthday!! I turn 31 tomorrow and have been totally stressing about the cake situation. You are an encouragement because you somehow managed to make it through four birthdays and not gain weight. I know can do this... :upsidedow

Okay I just realized that I forgot to add my loss for last week. Sorry.

I have lost 5.5 lbs in the last two weeks (3lbs this week)....for a total of 7lbs.

We had some amazing warm weather the last few weeks(70's and 80) so I went from the heavy winter cloths directly into summer shorts, etc. :scared1:
I now know why we need spring....it's to give you time to loose the weight you gained over the winter before you have to wear shorts! It is getting cold again here, there is even the mention of snow flurries....I have a few more weeks to loose the rest of my 15lbs.

Thanks everyone for the inspiration and support. I am going to need it to eat out at restaurants for three weeks when we go to London. Anyone have and tips for eat well in England?

I focused and focused and I did it. I lost 3.2 pounds last week which takes me to a running total of 18.2. I have been teetering around 16 pounds of so since I regained control I'm at the lowest point yet. Thanks to you guys and knowing I would have to report I was able to do it. I know I don't post a whole lot during the week but I read everything and you guys are a tremendous hunk of encouragement.
