Question about shared reviews

Hi everyone,

I lurk here a lot and recently came across an old thread about sharedreviews.com paying $2 per review. I went there to check it out and it says nothing about that. Instead, it says something about how you're basically paid according to how popular your review is, and how it's important to make friends and join groups in order to make money... something along those lines. Is anyone using the site now, and if so, are the payments worth it anymore? Around how much do you get per review?

Hi,

You no longer get paid the 2.00 per review. I made 148.00 last month by voing on other peoples reviews and them voting on mine. I believe the top 5 reviews in each category gets money and if you vote for one of those you get some of the money or if your review is one of the top ones you also get money.

That sounds interesting. Does it take a lot of time? It sounds to me like it's actually more time consuming than just writing your own reviews. Also, how important is it to join groups or post in their forums? Thanks for the info!

I just joined on February 28th so I only had time to do one review but I earned $4.38 so I actually made more than double the $2 per review rate. I am anxious to see how I do this month since it's my first "real" month. I have posted a few reviews and voted on a LOT and even made some friends! I'm hoping to get a few more reviews posted before the end of the month. Even if it's not a huge money maker, it's been fun so far!

Hi,

It does take some time but you can vote for as many or as few as you like. You dont have to post in the groups but it sometimes help most of the time if you vote for someones reviews they will vote for some of yours also.

on the shared reviews site under the forums section there is a list of dissers there if I remember correctly it is under the catagory of community chit chat.

I made it to the #2 spot this month. I made $213.92 and my DH made $162.18 for Feb. You can see the top 10 listed by going to the blog link and that will give you the breakdown of what we made for voting and others voting on our reviews. That should give you a little better idea of the pay. We did all that voting in about two weeks time, because they just opened up the site for voting in the middle of Feb., so it was a voting frenzy to get our votes in before the end of the month, but from now on, you will have a whole month to vote. It's interesting to read others reviews and I have found a lot of great new products I didn't even knew existed. It's a fun way to make extra cash!

Oh my!

I am so confused by this. I have been receiving friend requests all month from SR and didn't know what this was, got nervous and stopped going to the site. can someone explain in lay mans terms how this works now. I obviously am miss reading it. I made 8 reviews and got paid for 5, need to do 2 more for the next payout, thats when I left.

I don't now what it means when I reply to the requests.

Please be aware that it is against the DISboard's Posting Guidelines to advertise your Shared Reviews Username in a post. Posts which mention an SR username will be edited or deleted accordingly. If it becomes a problem, there is a possibility that we will no longer be permitted to discuss the program at all here on the DIS.

I strongly suggest that any discussion of voting for each other's reviews be taken to the Shared Reviews forums or handled via PM only.
