10/24/2009 Bash on the Boat - Thread #2 (of 20?)

Jeff, the only problem I see with that is, each cruise can only have one active thread. If a second thread was started for this cruise, the mods would combine the two threads together anyhow, I've seen this done already.

They list both the Kids and ours separately right now and even go to the point of putting both links on the "find your cruise meet" thread.

I think we should put in the title of the "links" thread a note to the Mods asking for them to keep it due to the new rules of the lenght of threads. They should give a little on that rule.

Not sure what threads were combined and how long ago that was. Was it after the new rule went into place?

I agree.

The F.O., which I thought I tried to stop on B.O.B. 1 (although I was as much of a problem going for and blocking them), should just fall by the side of the road at this point.

As for milestones, with only 3,750 posts, there really isn't many milestones. You can only have 3 per thread. Kind of pointless to run for them then. (although to snag the 3,750th post on each thread could be a fun contest - even though we'll go a few past it, we would know who to blame for it getting locked ).

I say we post as normal, don't try for any solo pages as well, and have the fun we've all come to enjoy.

Just my 2 cents.

Good morning everyone!

I took a page out of Robin's book - my gym started opening at 5 am this week so I've already exercised today. Not for as long (I only did 1/2 hour) but I'm done for the day!

Since we want to minimize the fluff on this board, do we want to start a Bobaloser board on the WISH board? Or are we ok with the way things are now?

I think we can keep it in this thread, and the database on the Yahoo site.

I was just looking at the logo thingy....should I get rid of the "Are you?" part of it????


I'm not even sure where that came from, it just kinda came to me when I was creating it

Let me know if I should keep it or get rid of it.

The combining of threads that I was referring too was just recently done. It's not just for the cruise meets forum. I saw at least three threads combined for the recent DCL House Party on the main cruise forum board, just a couple of weeks ago.

Yup...not looking too pretty. Especially since we still have a thin layer of ice on the roads and sidewalks from the rain yetserday...

There was an article in our local paper saying the snow removal budget for 2008 is already 1/2 gone.

Onto another topic, for those of you that are more DISboard savvy....have they brought back our KK1 thread yet? I don't see it in my list of subscriptions (and I forgot what it was called)...

Right back atcha, Shelley! In my hometown the Krewe of Mystical Waters had a Disney theme this year. The King and Queen and all of their court were dressed as Disney characters. I tried to find a pic to post here, but I failed. If I can track one down from my DSIL, who was part of the court, I'll post it here.

That sounds amazing! I love watching the Travel Channel specials on NOLA. Nevermind the fact that I LOVE Harry Connick jr. I am listening to one of his newest cds "Oh, my Nola". It's really fantastic what he did with the money from the sale of this cd.

Oh my, I've been reading a post on the main cruise page, "Banned Door Signs"...this looks like it's going to get ugly. Someone started out asking if they still allowed door signs and it's now turned into a discussion on whether they're nice or tacky!

Just popping in from the 8/15 Tortola thread,

What we are doing is starting a web page for the people on our thread where we will be storing most of the cruise info, while we are not really doing FLUFF either, just friends exchanging thoughts as before.

No Milestone races, with the talking going on, we will get to the 250th page fast enough on our own without that
