I win!! Coldest temps today!!! Stay warm!!!

I just looked at my temperature station and it is -18 right now with a wind chill of -35. It was -62 at 5:15am with the windchill. It is supposed to get colder as the day wears on and the wind will pick up. How crazy is that!!!!

Whoa. I hate that it's 30 degrees with snow on the ground here. I can't even imagine -62!! I don't mean to sound like the idiot from California (though now I live on the east coast), but do people go outside when it's that cold? How do you breathe? How do cars start?

It's supposed to get down to 61 today down here....I may need to break out my light jacket. I hope it warms up a little before our trip in 2 weeks.

Uggghh! I guess that arctic blast is headed our way too! I work outside (sort of, I am a paramedic on an ambulance) and it SUCKS when it gets that cold. If I dress in enough layers to keep warm outside (like on an accident scene) then I am ROASTING when I have to run the calls at the nursing homes! I never know what to wear because stripping off or piling on layers call by call isn't practical. I can't wait to go to work this weekend! Only 4 more (14-hour) shifts until I am off to WDW for a week.

Isn't it just great?? I only had to walk from my car to the office, not far at all and I was FROZEN...struggling to warm up, got my heater on full blast at my desk!!

And it is only going to be getting WORSE throughout the day!!!! Where in MN are you?

With the windchill right now it is a balmy 1. And that is cold for my neck of the woods. Good thing my car has a new battery or I don't think it would have started this morning.

Oh yeah we go out...kids still go to school...it is NUTS...I remember it being MUCH colder and school getting cancelled as a kid. But the cars start, mine fired right up in the garage this morning...but I am sure it won't be as happy tonight when I leave work and it has been out in the elements.

It is a great weekend to not leave the house, unfortunately for us my DH's company Christmas party is on Saturday!

This is supposed to be the COLDEST weekend Minnesota has seen in 3 years!!

-8 this morning w/o wind chill. -14 yesterday without wind chill. The town just west of here really got it yesterday, though... Gunnison, Colorado was 36 degrees below zero yesterday-- without wind chill.

It is extremely cold here. It is not quite 11:00am and my outside thermometer has just barely gotten above 65. I'm not sure if I should wear shorts or slacks outside today.

It is funny my parents are flying in this weekend and they just called to say they should be going to FLA... That they really love me to be braving these temps. I think it suppose to be much worse Saturday.. My mom asked if I had the Igloo built that they will be staying in....

Yes, can't wait to tomorrow....-20 with the wind chill, woo hoo...right now it's a balmy 26 degrees and light snow. Gotta love the midwest winters! I guess I've lived through worse. Good weekend to stay inside and dream about our Disney trip in March.

Soooo... glad I left Chicago. Weather here in Florida is up and down. Cold Freezing cold one day and in the 60's the next. My dad is still up north and he is dealing with colds and flu. Glad I am here. Sorry you have to deal with that kind of cold. I did it when I was young, but then I got out of there and moved to New Orleans, way before Katrina. Best decision I ever made, now I am in Florida and do not regret one bit of it.
