I am going to POP and WDW for the first time Jan 24-Feb 2. We would like to be able to have milk in our room (for breakfast and my DD has to have some before bed) and since we will be without a car, does anyone know if they sell a half gallon or gallon milk somewhere on the property? about how much is it? I would hate to have to buy the little pint size ones at the food court the whole time. We thought about bringing soy milk or boxed milk with us, but are not sure how it would do in our suitcases....

Hello there! Yes they do offer half gallons of milk to purchase in the Food Court, although I don't have a current price for you. If you're looking for more info on Pop Century, you may want to check out Post #1 as it's full of good insider info!

Have a great trip!!

I didn't check when I was just at Pop earlier in the month but I did check for someone last May and the half gallons of milk were $2.99 in the food court. I cannot imagine that would be much more now.

I can try to remember to check for you when I go 1/6 to 1/11 with my DS.

I will take it and swap it to someone else after me. I am going Dec 8-14th.

We'll be there the 2nd to the 9th so I'll take it for a few days if I can! :) It's adorable! Just let me know how that would work! :) I can give it up a day early for you huggiebear!

just remembered a question I had... I know there is no wireless internet and the normal ethernet is $10 a day. Is there an ethernet wire provided in the room or do you have to bring your own? Thanks!

6 more days!! AHH!!!

You'll find a bag with the cable hanging on the clothes rack. If it's missing go to guest services and they'll give you the bag.

Hello all,

Just wanted to pass this on. We stayed at the Pop a couple of weeks ago. We only stayed for one night but unknown to us, our DD7 left her MP3 player in a drawer in the room when we left. We were heading to another hotel so we did not catch this until a week later when we got home. Well we got a call last week and this came today with the MP3 player.

Way to go PoP Century Staff. My daughter loves you guys.
Have a Groovy Day!!

dh and i will be visiting POP feb 29th thru march 6th. i luv POP, but this will be DH first visit.

keep up the good info! :thumbsup2

To the person who wanted to know about King Size Rooms at Pop having just walk in showers or tub/showers. The handicapped accessible king size rooms all have roll in showers but they DO have King Rooms which have the shower/tub combination. You can ask for these rooms when requesting a King Size room, I have requested the tub rooms many times and gotten them.

Hope this helps....:thumbsup2

Just found these photos in a memory card from last January's trip.

Thanks GorshGoofy. I had read that the pop safes were big enough for a laptop, but seeing the pictures is so much more reasuring.

Now I don't have to worry about anyone messing with my laptop while I'm out of the room.

We are considering staying at POP for our Sept. '08 trip. I think the pictures of POP look so cool and am sure DD8 would love it! My biggest concern is that I have heard it can get very crowded. Two main concerns: 1.) We like to go back in the afternoons and enjoy the pool; does it become so crowded you can't even get seats at the pool? 2.) Is it hard to get a place to sit down and eat in the food court?

How is the bus transportation?

1 other question: when I looked at the map of preferred rooms, it looks as though the preferred options are pretty spread out and you can pay for preferred and still end up not being in bldng. 4 or 5 near the main pool. 1.) If I book pref. and request building 4 or 5, am I likely to get in 1 of those buildings? 2.) If I get one of the further pref. locations, how far am I from the main pool?

Thanks so much! :cool1:

How is the bus transportation?

I stayed at POP mid Nov and I thought the bus service was amazing! POP doesn't share buses with any other resorts, so they go right from POP to your destination, or vice versa. I never had to wait more than 10 mins for a bus and it took 20 mins or less to get from POP to any of the parks or DTD. Much better than I had expected. :thumbsup2

We also go back in the afternoons and have never encountered a problem around the pools. Just an FYI, but they don't really consider the Hippy flower pool to be the 'main' pool. It might be closer to Classic Hall but size wise it is similar to the other pools. They are each themed for their era. We neve4r pool hopped (although you are certainly welcome to do so!) from our decades pool. It is definitely *not* like the deluxe resorts where you have a main pool and then quiet pools. (I hope this makes sense.)

The food court has been crowded but we have never had to wait for a table, ever. We may have had to look for one at its busiest time though. We have never eaten breakfast in the food court, so I can't speak to that. (and we are a group of 4, 5 or 8 each trip)

Pop Buses!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 It's pretty bad when you are staying at the Poly but keep thinking "when we stay at Pop, we don't have to stop anywhere else". Seriously, I think Pop has the best, most direct transportation system. No other stops - no other resorts. It seems that WDW always sends extra buses for Pop at park closings too.

Hope that helps! :hippie:

You're all so helpful, thank you.

Defn. leaning toward POP, love to hear good things about the bus service.

If anyone has other comments, please let me know. Thanks.

I really need to read my book and see if thats where I saw it. But I am almost thinking it was 75 cents a minute. Or there was a usage cahrge and a minute charge. UGH! I am sleep deprived right now and can't remember clearly. Maybe make a post about calling from rooms at the Disney hotels and someone can answer you better or sooner.

The policy changed local and 1800 are free :woohoo:

Is there a resort pic that shows which rooms are King size? DS7 likes to sleep with us when we're on vacation (I don't mind...it won't be too long before it won't be cool to do that!) We'd like Lake View and DS is leaning towards the bowling pin section.
