Narcoossees Parking Question

We have an ADR scheduled for December 14th at 5:45 at Narcoossees. I remember back in 2004 how far the self-parking was from GF and I am totally too tight to valet park. ;) Would we be better off leaving the rental car at the resort, take the bus to Magic Kingdom and then ride the boat over to GF? Or park in the Magic Kingdom parking lot and monorail over to GF? Both sound like alot of work.

What do you all think? :santa:

Hmmm... is it that far? I know where it is but have never walked it. My husband and I are having our anniversary dinner there this year with a re creation of our cake and my brother and his girlfriend will be with us and have a car there (since they live in FL) I was thinking we could dump the cake in the car but was worried about time limits on parking...if we went to the MK after. We are staying at the BC and in Nov the parks are not open that late and I hate to go all the way back to the BC and then get on a bus. But your sugguestion about parking at MK might be ok, but then we would have to fnd the car for the cake AGAIN...

Yes that both seem to be a lot of work. For me I would just valet park, but of the two options, I think taking a bus, to the MK and then the boat to GF would be the best option but maybe the longest timewise.

On our trip last month we rode the bus to MK, toured MK and then took the monorail to GF. Then we monorailed back to MK and caught the bus back to the resort.

Didn't work well for us. Our service was exceptionally slow. We had 9:05 ADR's, were seated at 9:10 and 2 hours later we were still having our meal--in fact, our server hadn't even taken our dessert order yet. We were worried about missing the MK bus back to our resort, so I sent the rest of the family to monorail back to MK and catch the bus while I ordered our desserts to go, picked them up and paid the bill. Maybe our situation was unique and we just caught them on a bad night, but if we'd known that was going to happen we definitely would've driven.

I HATE the parking at GF, so yes, I would take a bus to MK and then the monorail to GF...if your ressie is early enough you could also go back into the parks...this is what we do anyway.

Keep in mind that if you have the DDE card (which you might not have), you get free valet parking at the resort when you go there to eat.

Wow I didn't know that and the last two times we had dinner at V&A's we drove since we were in nice clothes and wife didn't want to "mess her hair" for a $400+ dinner :rotfl: and can't remember where in 2000 we parked, but in 2005 it was across the main street and was a good walk with the DW in heels, but still doable. This time we're doing the Lulu and Narcoossee's for dinner and will probably just drive since from FW it's just quicker and easier. We will also be on the DDE.

Thanks for the heads up.

Yes, this is true. I just got the flyer to renew my DDE card and it says the following:

"When dining at a WDW Resort, valet parking is also complimentary. This privilege will only be extended to one vehicle per membership card. A dining receipt will be required at the Valet Stand upon retrieving your vehicle."

Actually, isn't Narcoosee's right by the boat dock? This last option might be your best choice (other than a cab). The GF/Poly launch is pretty close to the monorail ramp.

Thanks for all the great suggestions. How much does it cost to valet park at GF? For some reason I was thinking $18. (that might be Universal)

$10 to valet at any resort for the whole day!! ( you can come and go to as many resorts as you would like)

I would park at the TTC and here is why. When you're finished at the Magic Kingdom and ready to leave you could take the Express Monorail or boat to the TTC and be at you're in a few minutes. If you valet parked at the Grand Floridian you either take the Resort Monorail or Resort boat which could take more time.
