We are thinking of eating a meal at the yacht club galley on our next stay. Has anyone been there for breakfast or lunch??? What can you tell me about either?? Also if you've been to both which would you pick if you had to pick one??? Thanks!

We ate there last year for breakfast on our last day just before going to the airport. We ordered off the menu but I can't remember if they offered a buffet or not. We really enjoyed the food and were seated quickly without an ADR. It was a nice way to end a great vacation.:thumbsup2

We've enjoyed both breakfast and lunch at the Yacht Club Galley. Breakfast does offer a nice buffet or an a la carte menu. It's a pleasant spot and we've had good service.

I would choose whichever fits your schedule better.:confused3

I've done the breakfast buffet and one of my party opted for the a la carte menu. We really enjoyed both.

No experience with lunch. Just don't ever go there for dinner.

I have done both.....I would do breakfast, they have a very nice buffet and you can order alacarte.....it is good.

i'll be there at 8am nov 13th toasting my 50th birthday with a few friends and a mimosa or two

We have reservations there for Thanksgiving dinner - which is not their regular dinner. Why do you say not to go there for dinner?

We have eaten both lunch and breakfast at YCG. Both were great and I guess it just depends when it fits and what you really like. You can always check out the menus. I think I would pick breakfast only because I love eating out at breakfast.:flower3:

I've done both, and I agree that you should pick whichever fits your schedule better. You will have a quiet, relaxed meal either way.

If I remember correctly, she had a service issue there one time. Unfortunately, that can happen most anywhere but is rare at WDW in our experience. We've had good service at YCG at every meal.

BTW, anyone that wants to try the Y&BC room service menu, YCGalley is the place to do it. Lunch mirrors the all day menu and breakfast and dinner are similar to those meals from room service.

We had a very nice dinner there last year with a fantastic maple creme brulee. I would probably go for lunch in the hopes I could order one of those creme brulees during lunch since they really aren't likely to offer it for breakfast!:rotfl:

Thanks, that puts my mind at rest. I am really looking forward to this meal. They are calling it a New England Thanksgiving buffet. Not sure what that means but hopefully we will enjoy it.

Linda...

It was a service issue with an a la carte menu, which is the usual menu for dinner. I know each restaurant can have it's ups and downs, but it was a doozy for us and it was significant enough for us that we will not go there for an a la carte meal. I'm usually not one to sweat the small stuff...heck, I have never sent food back and I've heard of plenty of people on this board who have done so. I tend not to judge as harshly as some people would. You can take that for what it's worth.

I have dined there for the breakfast buffet and the food was fabulous and our server was prompt, but not hovering. Since you are having a Thanksgiving dinner buffet, I would expect you'd have a great experience.

Needless to say, I won't go out of my way to recommend the regular dinner at this restaurant. Just like there are plenty of people who won't recommend others. We all have to decide how much faith you want to take in any given review.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, sometimes there is alot of problems with service and it just turns you off the restaurant. I am looking forward to this buffet (we have 2:30 reservations) and then a nice walk around the Boardwalk and Yacht and Beach Club area to walk off our food. I am also looking forward to checking out all the different hotels holiday decorations.

we ate there for dinner too, and weren't impressed. I think the lunch menu seemed too limited, which was why we decided on dinner.
