Autograph Book

I ended up just buying it. My best friend printed out one set and was supposed to do mine, we decided the cost of everything was alot and I might as well just buy it. Plus we had it way too thick, wanted it on one side only, pictures for the other side. I ended up paying close to $40, but the ink alone would have been outrageous, she went through one whole ink cartridge.

I've printed out 3 complete books...I'm printing the last 2-4 pages and just got the low ink alert. Yup.

Sorry you did not like it.

I tried to make in generic so anyone could use it. At the end of the day at the park we took out any autographs we got. It made the book smaller each day. Also, we put the book back together I had enough room to add photos.

A really great place to buy ink is at Costcos or Sams. You can save a lot that way.

Just got this fabulous outfit. It is the Queen of Hearts for Halloween. My oldest will be alice and my boy will be the white rabbit!
Excuse the hair she just got home from Pre-school!

OOH, look how ADORABLE she is in that! I love that smile!!

My DD who JUST turned 3 is at 40 inches tall...COOL RIDES this year! She is in a 4T and size 10 shoes- and I don't buy too big shoes! I had to take a copy of her birth certificate last year to WDW because she was "free" and I didn't want any looks from the CM's.

I've had kids all different sizes! Corey was always right in the 50th percentile.
I use to tell people that Arminda was off the charts, and she was, off the bottom of the charts! She was SOOOOOOOOO tiny! She didn't hit 20 pounds until after she was 2, and she was and is a little shorty. My neice, our brother's daughter is 6 months older than Arminda, and she was teeny tiny too.
Lydia though, has always been around the 90th percentile. Weird :confused3 since I'm 5'4" if I stand up REALLY straight, and Brian is 5'8". Tessa, my neice, and hkite's daughter, is tall too.

People are always asking me what grade Lydia's in, even when she was still 3!! She outgrew the clothes Arminda wore to kindergarten over a year ago.

It's fun having such different kids, but I have NO perspective anymore about how tall a kid should be!

You sound like my kind of girl!!! By the way I snuck fabric home in my purse today. We are going to the Chesapeake Bay Seafood Festival this weekend. My girls are getting crab dresses!!!!

The ladies (2 guys) on this board are amazing. Because of them I have really learned how to sew. Whenever I cannot figure something out some always has a great suggestion!

Have fun with your new projects!!!

I love it! sneaking fabric into the house!!! I do that too!

UM- Hannah was 40 inches at three also. She wears a 5-6. Now she is 3 1/2 and 42 inches. Since labor day last year she has grown 8 inches!!!

WOW! 8 inches in a year! Lydia is 44" tall at 4 1/2.

LOL I think it is funny, because I never realized I forgot the A. I was having another headache and trying to teach (home school) while running into the kitchen to work on the shirts.

I'll fix them tomorrow. Thank you for telling me, because I may have not noticed till the girls wore them at the birthday party.

I was wondering if you had meant to do it, like a cool spelling. Music-L it still sounds like musical! I have a nephew who named his son, Shaquan Ellen, but he spells it Llyn. I thought you might be going for something like that. ;)

Ok, uber geek help here. My wife prints EVERYTHING out in color. We go through ink likes there's no tomorrow. I used to refill catridges because of this, but I found a great place to get replacement ink. It is one of those things that seem 'too good to be true' but actually is on the level. The site is http://private.abacus24-7.com

The ink I buy costs 13-14 dollars in the store, and about 1.43 here on this site. I buy sets of 4 or more at a time to save on ink. I've referred many people to this site and everyone has been happy with their new ink.

I know everyone appreciates all the work you did on the autograph book and for sharing it with us. It is really something! :thumbsup2

You do AMAZING work! How long does it take?

Thanks.:) The swans took me the better part of a week to do, I was on vacation, so work didn't interfere, it probably would have taken a month otherwise. Hot gluing on all the feathers took the longest...it looked like a chicken ranch in here for a while after that. lol

I didn't want to be the one to mention it. What kind of friend am I??

Speaking of nephews and names... I forgot to mention that my long awaited Nephew made an appearance on the 28th! His name is Xadrian. sounds like adrian w/ a Z in front.
Xadrian Levi ( I think Levi is his Dada middle name.)

I think I am looking at the wrong place. The HP 97 sells for $29.99. Is there a generic???

Congratulations!!!!! I don't think I've ever heard the name Xadrian before. Is this her first baby?

Thanks so much. It was a really fun project that my DD participated in. I am happy to share it with anyone. I have gotten an email a day since April asking for it! I never thought that would happen. I guess it was a hit.

Wow, such patience and love!

The Remanufactured cartridge on this site sells for $17.95. IF you're concerned about the quality you could buy one with shipping($5) and it'd still be less than 1 cart from the store.

Another suggestion is to actually buy a new printer that has the color cartridges separate. That way, when you run out of blue ink, you can just replace the blue one. Printers are so inexpensive these days, it's a really good deal. My canon has 6 separate color cartridges. When one runs out, I replace just that one.

If you get on their mailing list they send out coupons occasionally. Right now you can use the code SAVE5 to get 5% off your order. (through 9/10)

Ok---I am just back from the beach 2 days and have been trying to catch up but I totally need the support of my "friends" now. I know this is OT but you ladies are so great I needed to share my sad news with everyone. Last night DH found out he is being shipped overseas for a year. He starts training the day we get home from WDW and leaves for advanced training in Texas at the end of October before going over some time at the end of the year. We are struggleing on how to tell DD that her daddy is going for so long. And I am so worried about this trip now because on one side we will have great family time at one of the best places ever but then again it is knowing that when we come home, he leaves. Sorry to rant but I feel lost and he is training now and won't be home until Friday and I just needed to vent I guess. I don't even feel like sewing!

Since we were on the topic of autograph books I need some advice on the ones that I am doing.

Stepmom3 or any other scrapbookers: I have made the covers on some type of heavy, chipboard type material. My question is what do I use to 'cover' the paper so it all stays nice, Mogpodge, laminate it? What do you all usually do? Here are the covers:

Also for those not wanting to do all the characters I downloaded clipart and then just made a sheet of all the characters I knew we would be seeing and cut those out and pasted them on the sheets that I made. It takes patience but I just do it while watching (listening) to the TV.

Here is my daughter's halloween costume and my first adventure with satin. It wasn't too bad except the sleeves b/c the pins kept sliding out.
