Now I'll have to wash them several times cause I just can't wait to see how they look when the patches start to fray.

BTW, the HSM patches are the printable fabric! I just found some HSM clipart and printed them out. Not too bad![/QUOTE

I love these outfits.. I just got back from wdw and need to catch up on this thread lol

Where did you buy the printable fabric from? I used that same red/stars fabric on my daughters jojo oufit.

We are going to hsm on ice also so I may have to case you lol.
Our Hancock's has the printable fabric.

I got it at Walmart!

knock knock knock.

Boy, you people are hard to find! I looked at Creative DISigns, and at the Arts and Crafts board, and finally decided to check family. Now I only have (how many pages is it?) to comb through.

I love all the extraordinary sewing! And I thank you in advance for the many ideas that I will get. And I promise to post pics. And my husband is going to be P.O.ed about the money that I'm about to spend. ;)

T-Beri gave some great advice and I have some more. Just for giggles, we say Voldemort for the website that must not be named: EBay. And somehow, we also have Waldemort for Wal-Mart. Am I leaving one out?

WOW! The dis was down a good part of the day and I still avhe about 5 pages to read! Sorry if I missed some great things...I forgot to quote until the last page or so :rolleyes1

My DD who JUST turned 3 is at 40 inches tall...COOL RIDES this year! She is in a 4T and size 10 shoes- and I don't buy too big shoes! I had to take a copy of her birth certificate last year to WDW because she was "free" and I didn't want any looks from the CM's.
She is the same size and my almost 5 yr old! :rotfl: She was HUGE when she was born (9pds, 11oz and 21 1/2 inches) and has since really slowed down. She is only 41 inches tall now and 35 pounds! (size 4 or 5t and 10 shoes!)

Just got this fabulous outfit. It is the Queen of Hearts for Halloween. My oldest will be alice and my boy will be the white rabbit!
Excuse the hair she just got home from Pre-school!
IMG_2878.jpg

I LOVE it!!!!!

I love them!! I'm sewing pinch pleats but I'm cheating and using the pleating tape :)

NOPE, those are the real deal baby!!! Though my MIL was saying that she usually uses the cheater tape, we were all marveling at the gorgeous pleats, then my FIL (installing them) covered them w/ the cornice:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

WOW!!! You made that??? It's amazing! There are some directions for making real tutus in the bookmarks site, I found it pretty fascinating. Not something I wanted to try though, it looked too hard! Do you make all her tutus?

I've made several over the years, but not every time she's needed one. It is alot of work...the directions I used came from tutu dot com, and it's a 50 page book! But she's worth it. :)

I really need to give up the idea of sewing...I'm so out of my league

Don't say that! And don't give up. Some of us have been sewing for years. I was born into it, my mom was a home-ec teacher. It just takes practice and (lots!) of patience.

Hi all!
I am home from our trip to see family - only to be leaving for WDW on the 13th! YIKES!!! I have some things to show you all - when DD gets home I will post a couple of pics. I am also almost done with a couple of things - maybe I will get those up tomorrow. I sure wish I could catch up - being gone for 5 days really put me behind here;) - I think If I plan to get any sewing done I will have to start from here!
Lori

Oh, you are so NOT alone!! DD will be 3 in March and is maybe 21-22 lbs on a good day!! I've always had to take in the waists on all her clothes. She's so petite, her new preschool teacher thought she was in the wrong class!!

LOL..this is Rebecca too, and she was full term. She's almost 2.5, and still wears 18 mos, and I have to take in the waist or she walks out of her shorts. She surprises people because she's tiny but talks so well.

I'd like to try Jaques & Gus too, but I need to remember my new motto KISS (Thanks Tom!!!)

Sounds like someone needs to make that child some clothes!! Tom is gone out of the dining room, so you have nothing holding you back now!!!!

HEHE, I'm still in shock over Tom (the fridge) being gone! I miss him about as much as I miss the dog we got rid of this summer!

What a little sweet pea!!!! :cutie: :cutie: :cutie:

Yah, I do not sleep as much as I should. I never have. I was one of the kids who never napped! I guess that is why my DD3 does not nap. At least my girls sleep at night.
[/IMG]

Arminda was the only one of my children that ever napped. Corey and Lydia didn't. And, lydia was a night owl. I get sleepy.

I know these didn't turn out very good, but I finished the HSM shirts. Now I need to get the rest of the outfits done. My girls love the shirts.

Don't look at the date my camera is weird about what date it chooses to use.

They turned out great, but did you mean to forget the A?

First a question. I started making the autograph books from the pdf and started wondering a few things...1. Are you able to obtain signatures from all of those characters?? some of them seem obscure like like Kermit the Frog- DS9 did not believe you could actually see Kermit.

Also, if you have used this pdf on cardstock did you print on both sides. I've already printed them out one sided, but 128 pages of autograph book seems like a lot. okay enough probing... Though I did find out that you can have them bound at office depot for around 6.64.(slightly cheaper if you go w/ a pvc comb binding instead of wire spiral- i like the wire) I'll break that down for ya'll if your interested
the wire spiral is 2.89 (it was 2.49@home depot)
having the cardstock cut to size is .75 per cut/per 75 sheets (I figured 5 cuts-the 4 outside edges then the page in half) 3.75

I am buying chip board at a local paper craft store (.39 for a 12x12 sheet) to use for the front and back covers as I don't feel that cardstock is heavy enough to protect it and I'm going to embellish the covers anyway. JUST MAKE SURE if you plan to decorate the chipboard that you put your craft paper on before it's bound or you wont be able to cover the spiraled edge (I'm glad I realized this!!!) I think I will probably cut the chip board to size myself to be sure of the paper placement, but if you are using a solid or all over pattern you could just cover the whole thing and they can add it to the stack to be cut. I thought of cutting the pages myself but realized how much time it would take and the chance of my cutting something off center or the like....it just seemed like a good idea to have them cut there as well.
just a little FYI for those of you interested in this project- I was surprised how it all added up....ink, cardstock, binding, embellishments...

TOTALLY OT (not that the above was ON) I wanted to post pics of my new window treatments.. I've been waiting on them for a year, my MIL is a interior designer, but has a dayjob too and makes some of her clients WT's and accessories...finally she asked her workroom (who makes most of her WT's) to do them for me. SO I have been anxiously awaiting w/ only wooden blinds in my window. However most of the people in my life (save for my inlaws) could care less and do not fully appreciate the beauty of my new "curtains" -ugh!
so I thought I'd share them w/ all of you! Sorry if they're big, they didn't show up well smaller.

Welcome, make sure to check out the bookmards and the photobucket sites listed in the first post.

I think that's the site in the bookmarks too. You do AMAZING work! How long does it take?

First off- I love the new window treatments!! That is my favorite color combo right now!!!

I was the one who did the PDF of the autograph book. Yes, it does get expensive. I will take pics of ours so you can see how the finished product turned out.

I cut all the pages myself. No biggie for me- I cut paper all the time. My DH bound the book at work so that was a freebie. I agree next time (this Christmas:santa: ) I will use a spiral binding. We got about 60 autographs. I inclueded rare characters because I did not want to offend anyone. My DH told me I was crazy. There were a couple autograph sites that had lists of characters. I used those lists.

I do have to warn you- Peter Pan is missing from the book for some reason. I cannot PDF the book again because my DH is on a new project and his "trailer computer" does not have the correct software. I would be more than happy to send you the Publisher version.

It is really cool because all the characters make a really big deal about seeing their picture. The CM's do also! We loved it and I cannot wait to do it again. Collecting autographs and meeting princesses were my DD favorite part of the trip.

That is too stinkin cute!!! I love the coordinating theme!!!

Don't say that! And don't give up. Some of us have been sewing for years. I was born into it, my mom was a home-ec teacher. It just takes practice and (lots!) of patience.

Thank you for the encouragement....I've been busy w/Bows lately but I'm going to make a trip to Hancock's this week to get thread and whatever else I need to get going (not fabric though:lmao: I have too much already!!)

You sound like my kind of girl!!! By the way I snuck fabric home in my purse today. We are going to the Chesapeake Bay Seafood Festival this weekend. My girls are getting crab dresses!!!!

The ladies (2 guys) on this board are amazing. Because of them I have really learned how to sew. Whenever I cannot figure something out some always has a great suggestion!

Have fun with your new projects!!!

UM- Hannah was 40 inches at three also. She wears a 5-6. Now she is 3 1/2 and 42 inches. Since labor day last year she has grown 8 inches!!!

Super cute!!! I can't wait to see them all together. That is a great idea. I really want to do coordinating costumes for my girls while I still can get away with it.

OH aimee!! I hope you do not think I was questioning the validity or efficiency of your work.. It was a more daunting task than I had expected b/c I underestimated it.. I was all, I'm gonna throw a few of these together and... you know how it goes when you want to "throw" something together. And I was only curious if they were all siggies you could get cause I was surprised at how many there were, like cinderellas sisters or "the king" ya know? Any how, I decided to print them out one sided cause sharpie would bleed through but it looks like the books will be HUGE, I may tab them alphabetically.;) and I'm onnly not cutting them myself b/c I'm making several (5)
Sewing, christmas ornaments, pdf's...it's cocaine, right? Large doses of diet pills???
I hope the kids enjoy them as much as yours did!!
Thanks!!!

Hey, I shared my secret before- Coke Zero. It is like drinking speed!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I did not think you were questioning . . . don't worry.

Here is how it happened. My dear sweet little petunia was driving me crazy on a daily basis about WDW. I love how she gets excited about stuff but my goodness!

We went to a clip art site and I let her pick out the pictures she liked. They have all the movies listed and a lot of clip art!!! Then on publisher I made a template and copy and pasted it a bunch of times. We just switched the photo and the name.

The sharpie does bleed through so it is a good idea to do it one sided. You can also add photos when you get home.

We went in June and Hannah and I started working on the book in Feb. We did a little each day. I cut the pictures pages out at night when I was watching tv. It was a disney realted project for Han to help calm her down.

Thank goodness our Christmas trip is only three months away!!! I am not sure I could take it for six like last time!

BTW- I thought I would just throw together the Ren Fest dress. I was wrong about that one. hehehehe

They turned out great, but did you mean to forget the A?

 Oh no! I totally feel for you...It does look really cute though and I didn't notice the 1st time I had to go back and look:goodvibes

LOL I think it is funny, because I never realized I forgot the A. I was having another headache and trying to teach (home school) while running into the kitchen to work on the shirts.

I'll fix them tomorrow. Thank you for telling me, because I may have not noticed till the girls wore them at the birthday party.

You could make this much cheaper by punching one or two holes on the side and putting it together with book rings or sometimes they are called loose leaf paper rings. I scrapbook and this is how I normally put my autograph books together. I am just finishing one now, when I am done, I will post pictures so you can see what I mean.
