I LOVE Disneyland!!

Having been to WDW many, many times over the last few years and being told that Disneyland is "not as good" as WDW, I was a little sad while anticipating our Southwest USA trip.
We booked our 3 night stay at Candy Cane Inn and between the Inn and DL, WOW!
Disneyland is so much more compact, with shorter buildings and mature landscaping. The rides seemed more detailed and had nicer waits/lines.
We were only able to go for a day and a half with our 2 day PH's and we really didn't see everything but boy did we have fun!
The Candy Cane Inn deserves its great rating. It is clean and has excellent customer service. I have only been this one time (DL newbie) but will be happy to answer questions. I have a few photos as well.

Yes we went to DCA, although I don't remember too much about it. I know that I won 3 stuffed animals playing the games and we went on the ferris wheel with the moving seats. I couldn't stop screaming/laughing. I was hysterically terrified, I guess.

My DH told me that everyone was looking at me and laughing.
I was oblivious to anything but myself.

I've never been on them, nor will I ever try to go on them. My DD and her friend went on them, and were terrified. Said that was the scariest ride they had ever done.

Stick to the stationary gondola cars. You get a great view of the park without the puke factor!

oh my gosh they are EVIL...you swear your going to fly into the person across from you...I dont like them no no no...and Albort had a lovely experience on them with myself and Matterhorn good times good times!!!

Yes they are evil, but I can't help myself and I ride the stupid thing every trip and ALWAYS regret it and it makes me cry laugh, but I can't help but go on it again and again. And Lynn, you guys really traumatized poor Albort

I was kind of scared to go on the moving gondola after hearing about them. Watching people get sick after getting off of them didn't help. Surprisingly, it was my 3.5 yo son's favorite ride. He was laughing so hard as I was holding onto him for dear life so he wouldn't fall on the floor.

Glad you got to go to Disneyland. We enjoy it so much and try to get down there at least twice to 3 times a year. Disneyland is where is all started. As for the Gondolas when riding the moving ones YIKES!!! Everytime we get on them that first swing in a killer on the stomach I try to avoid it as much as possiable but it has good photos

I am so excited it exceeded your expectations. Thats wonderful to hear you had the time of your life there. Any disney park is wonderful but to try something different and new and to enjoy it is a blessing.
