Okay, I'm at the 4 month mark. Is there anything I should be doing? And is it bad that I'm more looking forward to actually being married, then to my wedding itself? I'm excited about the wedding but not exxxccciiiittteeeddd about the wedding. I just think about being married to my DF and I get butterflies and smiley and excited! I'm so worried that I'm really not doing enough and the wedding is going to come and I'm going to forget things and it's going to be a disaster, anyone else feel like this?
Oh and I got my initial budget today .

You know, I really wish we had some sort of post that says what we disney brides should be doing each month. I am at 5 months and am kind of lost at this point as to what I should be doing. I just finished my planning kit, but that is about all. I have my dress, but wonder when I should have it altered.

Also, when did the intimate brides have their telephone planning sessions?

I would love to see some type of list of what to do. My SIL is kinda slacking on the planning and I'm a Type A planner so I'm foaming at the mouth.

I agree, I have looked at all of the wedding magazines and their check lists, but they just don't apply to me!

While I agree not all checklist fit all - I took a checklist from the knot and modified to to fit my wedding. I think the timelines on it are pretty good (i.e when to get dress altered- I did this at the 3-4 month mark for first fitting, when to buy bands etc). In terms of Disney it is difficult because each planner works at a different speed.

I had my PS around the 5 month mark. It was there most of the decision were made for the wedding. I booked all my vendors as soon as I had my date confirmed. I think the best thing to do is to make a list of everything you have to do and try to get it all done and not procastinate I know not too helpful but I did all I could before the wedding and it helped. The few things I had left I wish i had done if you know what I mean!

I've made my own personal checklist but I guess it's normal, but I keep thinking "I've forgotten something". Oh well.

Tink11302, you are so right...our wedding is about 19 weeks away yet I feel lost and worried that things aren't going to come together because I'm busy with work and not sure what I should do for this wedding or when I should do it!

I think that I am having a hard time because our WP isn't the "warm fuzzy" type so I'm not feeling much magic and to top that off, my MOH is a CM and is always so busy it's hard for us to connect. I thought asking her to be MOH (we've been friends since CP in 1999) would make the most sense because she's the only person I know that loves Disney as much as I do, however, work and distance make things pretty tough.

DF and I live in NJ and all my family and friends are in IL...I feel all alone and it makes me sad and makes me wonder if a DFTW is worth it or if I should have just gotten married back home so I could do some of the normal things like have a bridal shower!

There's no turning back now...I am excited to be able to do this I'm just full of questions about what and when and how?!?

Thanks for listening...I totally apologize for getting on that little rant...I'd love to know if there are any good lists out there for us!!!

I moved to GA about 2 years ago, all my family and friend's(bridesmaids(6) and groomsmen(6)) are up north so it's killing me because nobody came to my shower except my sister and best friend, and I have to call my BM's to find out if they have the dresses(not to mention the right dress), and my groomsmen haven't started things yet so that'll start soon. My DF is so laidback he keeps saying, stop worrying it'll be alright, or you're wedding obsessing calm down. He hasn't done anything for the wedding and if it were him doing everything we'd have bottled water and crackers at the reception. I love him to death though. He does keep me sane.

I feel exactly the same way! I've dreamt of having a Disney wedding since I was a little girl but now that I'm actually having one I just can't wait for all the wedding crazyness to be over so I can just be married to my DF and start the happily ever after part.

Do you have your invitations ordered/made? Have you thought of favors? Looking at your planning journal, you have most everything covered. Do you know how you want your hair and your bridesmaids hair? Do you have reservations (plans) for the rehersal dinner?

We're good with invitations and napkins those are ordered. I haven't figured out my hair, and I'm leaving my BM's hair up to them. Our rehearsal dinner is booked(outside disney) I'm still working on favors. It's all the little things that we still have to do. I'm sure I have enough time and I'm on schedule, I'm just worrying and maybe being a bit OCD with organization and all that still needs to get done.

Where can you book manicures and pedicures and how far in advance? Also, if you don't use Impressions for your stationary (place cards, etc...) does Disney floral put all that out for you? I'm trying to work with Impressions, but they are so expensive comparatively! Thanks for the advice!

When we were down in May we met with our consultant for a site tour and to go over some things and we got a list that tells you what to do,it is on the wishbook too.

You can go to www.relaxedyet.com it is the site for the Disney Spas and salons. You can book whenever as long as they have a slot available. I say call asap. There is also the Mandara spa at the swan and some off property sites.

Disney will set everything up no matter who does your statiobary. I believe there is a $25 set up fee9or something like that) for setting up more than 3 things per place setting ie place card, favor etc but less then that they will just do.
